Outsmarting a Chicago Smarty at His Own Game

Originally posted at American Thinker

It’s a week since the 2012 election, and personally, I’m totally disoriented.  I mistook Friday for Wednesday; I live on an island destroyed by hurricane Sandy; and my overall mood borders on despondent.  For me, anyway, it’s depressing that left-wing academes, women in vagina suits, illegal aliens, liberal progressives, 85% of all Muslims living in America, and Hugo Chávez, Vladimir Putin, Fidel Castro, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are all equally ecstatic about the re-election of Barack Obama.

While disconcerting to most, those types of accolades have not been wasted on the president.  He has mistaken a non-mandate for a mandate and is wasting zero time frenetically fast-tracking policies guaranteed to further limit the constitutional freedoms of every American, including those who were twirling around like Deadheads after the November 6 election was called.

And even though the Republicans retained control of the House, in the bleakness and disappointment that remains, there seems to be little hope left for those who thought the election would turn out differently.

The truth is that while the last vestiges of freedom hinge directly on state representatives who attest to conservative principles, hearing Barry’s favorite golf partner John Boehner saying that ObamaCare is now “the law of the land” has made many, including myself, want to throw ourselves off that “fiscal cliff” that’s currently the topic of alarmed discussion.

On the day following the election, Speaker Boehner politely acquiesced to the effect that the people’s choice indicates that indeed this is Barack Obama’s “moment.”  However, Boehner did maintain that while he’s committed to assisting the president in reining in entitlement programs and is anxious to support serious spending cuts, Congress is not open to punishing small business owners — i.e., “the rich” — with tax increases.

Sorry, but John Boehner feigning bravado coupled with Barack Obama’s self-assured swaggering has only added to the pervading depression that has gripped half the country.  What America is currently being subjected to by Barack Obama is the same “I won” attitude he had in 2009 when he proposed and implemented his failed $787-billion stimulus package.

Nonetheless, John Boehner has encouraged the president to take the lead.  Yet for the sake of the future of America, at this juncture, John is the one who should be doing the leading.

Instead of immediately extending an olive branch, what the speaker of the House should recognize is that he’s the one who holds the power when it comes to everything the cocksure Obama believes he now controls.  If Mr. Boehner spent more time paying attention and less time at the tanning salon, he might realize that the key to hamstringing Barack Obama’s goals is to outsmart a Chicago smarty at his own game.

How?  Well, before election week ended, the retired four-star general/civilian CIA director General David Petraeus admitted to an extramarital affair and promptly stepped down.  Petraeus’s shocking resignation took place one week prior to being compelled to testify before Congress about the seven-hour terrorist attack on the Libyan consulate in Benghazi that took the lives of four Americans on the anniversary of September 11.

As a group, most Obama voters have proven to be generally oblivious to the more serious issues facing America’s future.  Perhaps David Petraeus’s suspiciously timed resignation will be the thing that finally captures the attention of those who, thus far, have been more concerned with Big Bird and birth control than an American ambassador being raped, tortured, and killed.

Therefore, instead of allowing the haughty Barack Obama to continue calling the shots, House Republicans could use General Petraeus’s resignation as a catalyst to wrest control from the president and place it back into the hands of the American people.

To do so, it would be necessary for congressional Republicans to muster up the temerity to use the Benghazi cover-up as clout; then, once they’re hit in the paycheck, even those who supported the foolishly reelected Two-Term Terminator will be demanding answers about what went down in Libya.

In lieu of Petraeus’s testimony, the first step would be for Republicans to promptly petition the White House to hand over all correspondence relating to the Benghazi event.  John Boehner could then demand pertinent evidence including e-mails and videos from the Situation Room, from which place the terrorist attack was taped as it unfolded in real time.  If Barack Obama and his minions choose to continue to stonewall, the speaker will be justified in countering the president’s refusal by publicly refusing to comply with budgetary negotiations, including discussions about tax cuts, rates, and revenue.

If Mr. Boehner manages to effectively utilize the incident in Benghazi for political leverage and the nation subsequently careens forward over the “fiscal cliff,” the president can then be held accountable.  Moreover, Boehner will at least have a fighting chance to make the argument that the nation’s economic woes are a result of the White House refusing to come clean.

In other words, if, on behalf of the American people, Republicans in Congress suck it up and grasp the optimal set of circumstances currently before them, then, caught between a “fiscal cliff” and Benghazi, Barack Obama will be the one doing the surrendering, not the other way around.

Cloward-Piven Paradise Now?

Combine class warfare, demonizing the rich, getting as many people onto the welfare rolls as possible, and pushing the economic system to collapse and you have a flawless formula for Cloward-Piven 2.0 — and a vehicle that ensures Obama remains in power.

Cloward-Piven is a much talked-about strategy proposed in the mid-1960’s by two Columbia University sociology professors named Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.  The Cloward-Piven approach was sometimes referred to as the “crisis strategy,” which they believed were a means to “end poverty.”

The premise of the Cloward-Piven collective/anti-capitalist gospel decried “individual mobility and achievement,” celebrated organized labor, fostered the principle that “if each finally found himself in the same relative economic relationship to his fellows … all were infinitely better off.”

The duo taught that if you flooded the welfare rolls and bankrupted the cities and ultimately the nation, it would foster economic collapse, which would lead to political turmoil so severe that socialism would be accepted as a fix to an out-of-control set of circumstances.

The idea was that if people were starving and the only way to eat was to accept government cheese, rather than starve, the masses would agree to what they would otherwise reject.  In essence, for the socialist-minded, the Cloward-Piven strategy is a simple formula that makes perfect sense; the radical husband-and-wife team had Saul Alinsky as their muse, and they went on to teach his social action principles to a cadre of socialist-leaning community organizers, one of whom was Barack Obama.

As the debt crisis continues to worsen, President Obama stands idly by an inferno with his arms crossed, shaking his head, and doing nothing other than kinking the fire hose and closing the spigot.  Spectator Obama is complaining that the structure of the American economy is engulfed in flames while accusing the Congress, which is trying desperately to douse the fire, of doing nothing about the problem.

Although speculative, if the Cloward-Piven strategy is the basis of the left’s game plan, spearheaded by Alinsky devotee Barack Obama, it certainly explains the President’s inaction and detached attitude.

The greatest nation in the history of the world is teetering on the brink of a catastrophic economic crisis. America was pushed to this point by a rapidly-expanding national debt and a stressed-out entitlement system; in the center of this crisis is the President, who insists on expanding it even further, all in the name “fairness” and “social justice.”

As a default date nears and the President threatens seniors that there’s a chance they may not receive their Social Security checks, it has been revealed that the federal government disperses a stunning 80 million checks a month, which means that about a third of the US adult population could be receiving some sort of entitlement.

Since the 1960’s when Cloward-Piven presented a socialistic guideline to usher in the type of evenhandedness Obama lauds, America’s entitlement rolls have swelled from eight million to 80 million.  If the nation’s ability to disperse handouts were ever disrupted, it’s not hard to see how chaos would erupt should an angry army of millions demand what Cloward-Piven called “the right to income.”

Couple the threat of dried-up funds for food stamps, Social Security, unemployment benefits and the like with the Obama administration’s vigorous campaign to turn a tiny upper class of big earners into the enemy, and you have the Cloward-Piven recipe for anarchy and complete collapse.

If the worst happened, Saul Alinsky’s biggest fan, whose poll numbers continue to plummet, could use mayhem in the streets to remain firmly ensconced in the White House.  Alinsky taught his students a basic principle that community organizer Barack Obama learned well: “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” Fiscal disintegration coupled with lawlessness would deliver the type of Cloward-Piven/Saul Alinsky trifecta that progressives have worked toward and waited decades for.

Barack Obama has spent the last 1,000+ days defying reason and choosing policy directions that seem nonsensical to the rational mind: a failed stimulus package; ObamaCare; growing the deficit to astronomical proportions; and cynically portraying wealth as immoral. Now, when cuts are the only fix to a budgetary balloon about to burst, a seemingly illogical President digs in and demands additional phantom dollars to spend on a system that is collapsing under the weight of unmanageable debt.

It’s hard to figure out the method to the President’s obvious madness, because based on Obama’s approval rating, if the election were held today even Pee Wee Herman could replace Obama behind the Resolute Desk.  Maybe the “method” isn’t “mad” in the least!

Could it be that Barack Obama is purposely pressuring the system in a premeditated effort to foster a major crisis?   One that would demand extraordinary measures to control by a President who could then mete out basic sustenance to Americans who would agree to anything to regain some sense of normalcy.  And in the process successfully usher in the “socially just” system Barack Obama has dreamed of all his life. go to link

While radical Alinsky/Cloward-Piven disciple Obama appears to be clueless and detached, it may be a ploy; he may actually be focused and engaged as he purposely pursues an Alinsky-inspired course of action to force the system to “live up” to its own rules.  Obama’s ultimate goal of once-and-for-all discrediting the capitalist system and replacing America’s foundational economic and social tenets with a broad-based socialist one headed by progressive Marxists like himself, is actually within reach.

As Obama pushes and prods the US economy and instigates social unrest, it could be that he believes a Cloward-Piven-style utopia resides just beyond the horizon — a progressive panacea where an election-free, classless society, thankful for a simple crust of bread, looks to Barack Obama to keep the peace by remaining in power indefinitely.

Therefore, unless all of America, regardless of class or political persuasion, pays attention to the potential for a bleak future that lies ahead and realizes the President’s non-plan could be itself an actual calculated plan, the resulting consequences will affect everyone, as Barack Obama transforms a once great nation into Cloward and Piven’s idea of paradise.

Militantly Monarchial Michelle

AJ_michelle_milt.jpgThe First Lady is continually issuing shrill compliance edicts based on her ideological view of a King Obama ruled America. Every time she steps out in a pair of metallic ballet flats she reveals herself more-and-more to be a priggish elitist with insensitive aristocratic tendencies. While supporting stringent decrees for the have not’s, deep within the palace walls the Royal Lady avails herself to five-star treatment and licks the fat from pheasant on the glass with full abandon. Though very popular, many astute Americans are not fooled by the First Lady’s behavior. “It is true that you may fool all the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all the time.”

It is on the record that Michelle Obama did make a “Let them eat cake statement, matter-of-factly blurting out to the Corporate Voices for Working Families that, “Everyone should have a chief of staff and a set of personal assistants.” She could have at least included a personal chef, butler and handmaiden to the list of national needs. And who better than Barack to make it happen? Just think about how that sort of entitlement would sure up his voting bloc. In the 2009 fiscal year budget a $3.4 trillion dollar spending plan could certainly support a domestic service initiative and it would generate the jobs the $800 billion stimulus package guaranteed but has yet to produce.

Recently, on a Queen of Sensitivity tour, Michelle Obama, reached out to the underclass by volunteering precious photo shoot time to bag food for hungry children. Appropriately accessing her audience Michelle arrived casually shod in $540.00 dollar, suede and metallic pink Lanvin sneakers. The same pair sells for $565.00 at Barney’s. Through savvy shopping economy conscious, thrifty Michelle Obama saved $15.00, which she most certainly contributed to the Kraft macaroni and cheese donation cup at the pantry.

Environmentalists and PETA might have been offended by Michelle’s soup kitchen outreach. PETA by the suede on the sneakers and the Sierra Club over those plastic bags she enthusiastically overloaded with Hamburger Helper. Doesn’t she know Nordstrom’s carries the Envirosax? Not to worry, the Sierra Club disregarded Obama burning 9,000 gallons of fuel on Earth Day, so environmentally acute Michelle planting trees at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, in a navy and emerald green ruche, $1000.00 Lanvin tank top, should quell the plastic and suede faux pas.

Since the campaign Michelle has been also working the fire and brimstone circuit evangelizing American’s to live up to the stringent statutes of the Gospel according to Barack

In an over- the-top piercing harangue Michelle alerted Barack cohorts that, “Barack will require his flock to work!” Michelle could not foresee that their hero would force the unemployment rate to its highest in 25 years. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimated that even with spending reductions Barry’s throw money from the balcony policy proposals, would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years. Michelle is correct, we will be required to strive like slaves day and night, because the deficit will quadruple to $1.75 trillion. Obama devotees and unbelievers alike are consigned, for generations to come, to hard time in collective diligence.

Another one of our esteemed first lady’s piercing public proclamations informed the “Land of the free” of “demands” to “shed their cynicism.” Michelle couldn’t mean the type of cynicism fostered by authoritarian politicians who establish one set of rules for the haves and another for the have not’s? As a first step toward eradicating public cynicism, the monarchy flew a pizza chef 860 miles from St. Louis, Missouri to Washington D.C. to make their favorite thin-crust pizza. The pizza extravaganza was an excellent opportunity to recap Michelle’s diktat that Americans are going to have to learn to “…give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more,” starting with the customers at π who were forced to go without pizza while Chris Sommers was rolling in dough over at the palace.

Michelle pressures Americans to, “Put out our division.” Aptly taking her own advise the Queen of Racial Healing did not fail to point out our nation’s blemishes at the Sojourner Truth statue unveiling at Emancipation Hall in the Capitol. She redirected the hot light toward similarities in much the same way Pastor Reverend Wright did during her twenty years in his church. Michelle shared her relief that, “Now many young boys and girls, like my own daughters, will come to Emancipation Hall and see the face of a woman who looks like them.”

Michelle and Sojourner are two of a kind. Michelle spoke of her own wrenching slave ancestry honoring Sojourner Truth as one who endured being “ whipped with “a bundle of rods, prepared in the ember.“ Since breaking ground on the Victory Garden the new save money on groceries gardener, Michelle Obama, could closely identify with the ex-slave who, “ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns…worked as much and ate as much as a man – when I could get it … borne thirteen children, and seen most all sold off to slavery.” To honor Sojourner’s fashion statement white bonnet Michelle dressed in a $2,000.00 Sophie Theallet frock from the French designers black models only spring 2009 collection.

Michelle Obama’s clarion call also includes Americans “come out of isolation.” The globally minded citizen of the world, reminded attendees at the Time 100 gala that, “America’s future is intricately linked to the rest of the world, that the threats facing the global community know no borders.” At that same event , the always welcoming First Lady enforced patrician partition immediately following her beckoning America out of “isolation” speech, “The six scribes invited to sit for dinner were all told beforehand, “Do not speak to [Obama], she’s just here to relax.” Michelle exclusively huddled with good friend and billionaire Oprah.

Mrs. Obama never hesitates to point a long crooked finger at America suggesting that we need to refuse segregation. Since landing in the middle of an all-welcoming White House, Michelle Obama has yet to lead the way in tearing down barriers by admitting that her racial diatribe, Princeton thesis was far from accurate when it said, “…integration and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure” would force her to, “remain on the periphery of society.”

Michelle views herself as on the “periphery of society” because of her race? Yet, she hobnobs regularly with socialites, rubs elbows with celebrities and has a personal chef scramble her egg whites. As a minority First Lady of the “United” States of America, whose husband was elected to represent all citizens, does Michelle still feel that this nation views her as,Black first and first lady second?” Because if she doesn’t, she has yet to express that sentiment.

Michelle has been strident when it comes to addressing “comfort zones,” zeroing in on unacceptable vestiges of ease. Yet, Michelle employs a full-time makeup artist to pluck her exceedingly overarched eyebrows and give her a “signature” look. Michelle is cover girl perfect whenever she crosses the moat on their crusade to ram home the need for Americans to “Move out of their comfort zones.” Next Wednesday evening, while a perfectly coifed Lady O, revs up the conga line, adorned in a Peter Soronen’s “twilight gown,” 90% of America will be getting comfy by safety pinning stretched out waistbands on ripped sweat pants.

In the come out of your comfort zone Obama White House, luxury is not a commodity to be skimped on.  Mrs. O beckons a spoiled America to divest themselves of comfort on behalf of much needed “hard change” while preparing to decorate with, “…antiques, gilded screens, white sofas, oriental rugs, four-poster beds, hand-blocked fabrics, chinoserie wallpapersa and a dark Japanese-inspired kitchen.”

When Michelle, gets done wiggling her toes in the Sultanabad carpet will she then decide what “comfort zone” loving, less than perfect Americans should do to “Push to be better?” After drafting our marching orders is she expecting exhausted Americans, drooling on their couches from pure exhaustion, to rise in submission and “engage” in a manner worthy of Michelle’s collective vision?

Mrs. Obama demands we work, while she gardens in Jimmy Choo’s. Michelle will make us put out our divisions, while she points out the color of children’s faces. Under duress, we’ll be forced out of isolation, while Michelle forbids to be addressed over dinner. Lady O is on a mission is to nudge us out of the tiny comfort zone we have in our weary lives, while she peruses silk swatches transforming the White House living quarters into a cozy English country cottage-like house.

Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual,” says a strident Michelle, which sounds a tad dictatorial. Someone needs to tell the First Lady that Americans resent being pushed around, especially by hypocritical, disingenuous, spoiled-brat, self-righteous, racially divisive radicals who exercise their authority by inflicting guilt trips on hard-working, well-meaning, country and freedom loving Americans.

High approval ratings Michelle isn’t fooling all of us. Her imperious, overbearing manner coupled together with a matter-of-fact dismissal of lavish trappings, while demanding austere denial and sacrifice from everyone else is hypocritical and being exposed at every charity event she shows up at donned in brazen haute couture. Lest Michelle forget, “Hypocrisy … may deceive the cleverest and most penetrating man, but the least wide-awake of children recognizes it, and is revolted by it, however ingeniously it may be disguised.

Dead Fish and Roses

Was2128551Yesterday, the President of the United States took a page from the book of Rahm Emmanuel and brought a dead fish with a rose in its mouth to his meeting with state officials and tossed it to the representatives of the states who will be receiving funds from his $787 billion economic stimulus program.    Obama told the quivering state officials, “…spend the money wisely…or else.” He stressed with great authority not to be misunderstood, “If we see money being misspent, we’re going to put a stop to it.

What’s he going to do, loosen up some predicates or revoke the RICO laws and make a marriage with labor union leaders to oversee the state officials on how they spend the funds? Will he employ a band of Young Turks to be assigned to each state to check to see how and what the money is being spent on? I guess so, because he cautioned state officials like they were a detention hall full of misbehaved juvenile delinquents, “…six months from now if the verdict on this effort is that we’ve wasted the money, we built things that were unnecessary or we’ve done things that are legal but make no sense, then folks…” —Then folks what? Will there be hell to pay?

I would like to remind the Capo di tutti capi-in-Chief that there are “ways” to get the job done.  For instance there is always the severed goat’s head that can be employed to jolt the Governors and state officials back on track if after three months things are being built or money spent on ventures that his babbo, Joe Biden might deem “unnecessary”. If that doesn’t work I’m sure some of the old school labor union bosses would be more than willing to comply with slitting a couple of lamb’s throats on behalf of the stimulus rules, to make sure the “…or else” message really hits home before the six month limit is up.

I’m sure if someone dares to break the code and does the unconscionable there is always the old tire iron to the knee caps that can be counted on to drive the message home . What’s the President going to do, send out Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod to deliver some, “…offers that cannot be refused?” Let’s not forget the ball peen hammer knuckle rap to do the trick if Obama’s “stern language” isn’t heeded by those in Wednesday’s “gasping” audience.  All those who spent the day being “schooled on how to make the massive spending program work” had the message endorsed by a roomful of  enforcers, gum chewing men, dressed in black, wearing sunglasses and sporting large, over-sized lumps under one side of their jackets .  The same group of men kept silently pointing to their both their eyes with two fingers in a “V” and then pointing the same two fingers back toward the audience over- and-over again.

What is the plan? Are the lion share of those 3.5 million new jobs Barry’s promising going to union workers? Obama’s concern for the Unions has been evident and what better way, “…to level the playing field for workers and the unions that represent their interests,” then by employing them in his new tough guy initiative “Keeping the States Honest”? He can remind them that, “he does not view the labor movement as part of the problem…its part of the solution. Mixing in a little Chicago would help. Obama can give ex-Governor Rod Blagojevich a special dispensation to work with the Illinois labor workers until they are fully confident that the spending regulations are being adhered to?

What an opportunity to set the labor unions apart from the lobbyists! Barack can send out work teams to insure that each every one of his unyielding warnings are heed by the recipients of his grandiose governmental generosity. If any suspicious activity is taking place the President can encourage his enforcers to do whatever is necessary to make sure his will be done, “I want you to talk with them…I want you to argue with them and get in their face…You are my ambassadors. The President can give them permission to, “…remind them that if spending gets out of hand…things are going to get ugly!’

If President Obama wants to “make sure that every single dollar is well spent”, he can set up empty warehouses all across America. Each furnished with miles and miles of tables, light bulbs hanging by single electrical wires over piles of one dollar bills. What’s he going to do have union thugs, I mean his representatives, supervise the counting and spending of each and “every single dollar? Maybe he can even strong arm Mafia accountant, Stephen Corso to keep the books.

Joe Biden missed a perfect opportunity to live up to his tough guy reputation. With a little forethought he could have continued to smile like the Joker and have had the Cement and Concrete Workers of New York City Laborers’  as a back drop to his, “ no swimming pools in this money…or else” exhortation! Immediately following, “nobody messes with Joe” the cement and concrete workers could have explained how, on occasion, when installing new patios and in ground pools, they have discovered bodies and skeletons. In fact, Joe’s “little hint” could have had a lot more impact if they would have agreed to give a short Power point presentation explaining how many of the decayed corpses have been there for many years without ever being found. At the “day of schooling” a short lesson wouldn’t have gone to waste on the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa and could have been included in the round table discussion sessions.

Beforehand it appears as if two Governors obviously made an preemptive effort to reassure the President and his posse of their compliance. For example, it appears as if over some Carlo and Rossi wine and a cigar New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson pledged that he could insure that all transportation expenditures would personally overseen by him. A representative for Florida Governor Charlie Crist headed the problem off at the pass by pulling aside Rahm Emmanuel, who has a habit of cleaning his teeth with a switchblade, convincing him that they, “…already have a lot of swimming pools in Florida? In an effort to make sure Emmanuel understood his sincerity, what did Crist’s representative do, promise to lay off all pool workers and ask them to immediately evacuate the state?

Obama really should have had an, “…or else” wall of shame as the milieu, in the same fashion as they do with DWI offenders, for his informational, paparazzi packed, I yield the billyclub session. The threat of being exposed is a powerful tool to keep Governors and state officials well within the spending boundaries and “regulations…outlining what stimulus money cannot be spent on.” There would be little need for follow-up if a wall of shame was erected in place of a flag, two large union workers on either side of the plinth, one slowly tapping a tire iron against his empty hand, the other with tattooed, testosterone pumped biceps folded at his waist. All the while the President could have driven home the point, “If wasteful spending is found, enter we will call it out and follow link we will publicize it”, specifying clearly that it would not be in the same edition of Vogue or Oprah, both of which featured the First Lady on their cover this month in very judiciously purchased designer clothes.

We’re Playing Checkers with Nation Wreckers?

Did you ever play a game of checkers? We all know it’s a game where you try to advance across a black and red board and in the process you try to either capture or block your opponent until they are prevented from further moves. Whoever is cornered loses. I don’t know about you but lately the political landscape has made me as an American citizen feel that the game has been usurped by a king who has everyone that was playing fair captured and blocked by stretching and changing the rules. In this game of checkers the ones who should be winning are losing and the losers seem to be winning.

Customarily, way back when in the olden days, people purchased a home only when they could afford one. They scrimped and saved for a down payment and proudly acquired property well within their budgetary means taking into consideration their ability to pay for the term loan that usually had a 30-year limit. In 2009 such a practice is considered by many to be revolutionary in its concept, antiquity on parade and obsolete because everything seems to be turned upside down. Somewhere along the line, having the means to procure personal property by some and not by others was considered “unfair.” In response to a falsely perceived inequity, elected social engineers in the Democratic Party decided that having the money to buy a house was “discriminatory” criterion. To right this undeserved wrong, millions of mortgages were granted, without restraint, to people who lenders were well aware could never pay them back. The chips on the checker board were beginning to be moved in the wrong direction.

This practice goes against everything we’ve been raised to believe is correct or even feasible in the America we grew up in. For baby boomers it would be like giving the trophy to the water boy on the sidelines of a one mile race and then disqualifying the fastest sprinter. For those who play fair it’s like raptly watching the annual Miss America pageant and when it’s time to crown the most talented and beautiful contestant, a bag lady is brought in off the street and awarded the tiara, prize money and the national honor. For those who don’t stash our checkers under the table, it’s as unthinkable as applying for a job that requires the PhD. we’ve worked hard to earn and then losing the position to an adolescent that slices bologna at the local deli.

What is going on in America today can be likened to Olympic fantasists who can’t swim flying to Beijing, jumping into the pool with Michael Phelps and then after being fished out by the lifeguards being awarded the gold medal while Mr. Phelps is sent packing empty-handed from the podium. Presently, we are having our “gold” confiscated from us by a throng of rabble rousers and their willing gang leaders.

It’s time to accept the fact that the new America we live in pilfers instead of promotes the “American Dream”. Our elected officials are the Washington wet blankets that look for fervent fires of ambition and ingenuity and throw their full weight on them to snuff them out. Our accomplishments are being stolen from us by government officials that believe punishment needs to be meted out to level the field and to preserve equity regardless of the fact that those being hauled off to the penitentiary are innocent of the crime. Someone has been handing out extra checkers and allowing illegal kings to be crowned making it impossible to compete fairly in a game we’re being forced to play.

The order from the top is that to put right an out-of-control economic mess, taxpayers are being constrained to contribute extra money to the pot in order to bail out freeloaders. All hard-working Americans are being required under the barrel of a government gun to empty their pockets into the collective coffers to right an economic wrong they had no part in creating.

The state of our nation is such that individualism, pluck and self reliance are no longer enviable traits to aspire to, but instead forced mutual collectivism, dependency and equitable redistribution is the goal of the day. Hey, Mr. Community Organizer, since when did compulsory governmental pick pocketing cultivate an affable community spirit of openhandedness and good-will?

What kind of message are we sending when you get yourself in trouble by being totally irresponsible and in response to your dilemma the kumbaya kin ship floats up to the pier and is mandated to bail you out? While at the same time, in order not to overload the vessel, the people who built it and navigated it are forced to walk the plank? In Obamerica those wise enough to remain on dry land are being herded aboard another sinking ship to assure that those who chose to go on a fated cruise do not die alone endorsing impartiality over sanity. Someone is definitely stealing the checkers.

It used to be that the left thought that “It took a village to raise a child” now community tasks have expanded to paying off other people’s mortgages, providing for stranger’s and illegal aliens health care and compensating for the negligent behavior of able-bodied adults. This type of legislated charity is nothing more than compulsory largesse, which is presently being advocated on the national stage as a societal value we should all strive for.

One word, nestled amid the eloquence of Barack Obama’s victory speech, lingered long after the cheers subsided. Sacrifice. It’s a word too long absent from the political discourse, one that speaks to the change that Obama claims his presidency will represent. We cannot fix our finances without it. We can’t address our foreign oil dependence without it. We can’t repair our broken health care system without it… Sacrifice, after all, is the prefix for change. (Houston Chronicle Obama raises a long-neglected concept: sacrifice STEFFY, Nov. 7, 2008)

So now buying a house you can’t afford becomes someone else’s duty to bear? This “prefix for change” mandates that I and the family I work to provide for have to now do with less in order to pay dues to cover a stranger’s sorry buttocks? Is this what equal allocation of funds, socialistic sacrifice and Papa-patriotism is all about in the Barry Brotherhood of Man? White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs even acknowledged that “there will be people that made bad decisions that in some ways will get help ” (AP, White House objects to ‘rant’ on its housing plan, Ben Feller, Feb 20-2009). Conscientious, hard working American’s, not responsible for messing up the housing market, are the ones being harshly fined and left with the vestiges of a tacky burst housing bubble stuck all over their faces.

The way the new system works is if you run out of gas while illegally drag racing, the government refueling truck is on the scene filled with tax payer blood money. You fail to pay the oil bill and your house is frosty, no problem the government oil truck, filled to the brim with tax payer currency is backing up and topping off your tank. You decide you want to go to Vegas for the weekend and gamble away your grocery budget and now you’re famished, not to worry the Uncle Sam Pea Pod delivery service is bringing a full month’s groceries and they are provided for you straight from the public pantry. If your utilities are shut off because you spent too much on a whim last month buying a stunning pair of Jimmy Choos? Not to worry, tax payer dollars are now the light switch that insures a parity beam will illuminate your dark dogged despair.

British philosopher Jeremy Bentham described the utilitarian goal as “…the greatest good for the greatest number.” With all due respect Mr. Bentham, “Is this regardless of at whose expense this is accomplished?”All this love and support is a way of proving America cares and we’re doing it with a warm, squishy monetary bear hug from us to them. So here we are in Obama’s new-fangled, malformed America where slothfulness is rewarded with a pay stub and contributing, hardworking citizens are legally burglarized by government gangsters. There is a chalkboard set up in the Oval Office where with dusty chalk and eraser the Controller-in-Chief divvies up the proletariat’s proceeds like a coach mapping out a football team’s game strategy.

The citizens of our nation are being treated like checkerboard chips being moved around in a game where someone else decides how everything in our lives is going to go wielding ultimate control over all of our destinies. In some instances it may seem like we have a few minor victories, but mostly we lose. The rules of the game are no longer being adhered to and we’re at the mercy of a king that has been granted unrestrained authority to move us any place on the board he decides we belong. So as this opposing team’s king captures us and boxes us in without freedom or options it is now our decision as to whether we want to be utterly defeated or get out of the game.

The Brotherhood of the Stinky Stimulus

stinkystimulus“The push to get the bill through before the holiday weekend was so frantic, members of Congress didn’t have a chance to read all 1,071 pages of the document before they could vote” said Sunday, February 15th, 2009 New York Post.

Oh how I wish a savvy insider could have only slipped in an obscure sentence on a page that nobody would have read that said something like this…

Anyone who signs in agreement of this bill — will automatically be let go from the US Congress on the day immediately following its passage!

The Spector, Collins and Snowe Job

spectercollinssnow2What could be worse that having a representative, which does just the opposite?  Isn’t a representative someone who stands in or acts in the place of another?  I wonder when the Republican moderates of Maine and Pennsylvania chose Susan Collins, Arlen Specter and Olympia Snowe as their “representatives” to the Senate they expected them to sell them, their children and their children’s children down the river in order to appear to be bi-partisan.  Well I don’t believe they are bipartisan at all…I believe that all three of them are die-hard partisans of the highest order.

They may have represented themselves in a disingenuous way, because these three embody the ideals and beliefs of a liberal party even though they all have a capital “R” after their names.  Someone needs to speak to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and tell them that even with these three votes, the bill still cannot be called bi-partisan, because these Senators Republican’s in name only are liberal partisans in actuality.

The definition of partisan is a someone who is a firm adherent to a party, faction, cause, or person; especially one exhibiting blind, prejudiced, and unreasoning allegiance…all of which Specter, Collins and Snowe exhibit by their blind, unwavering allegiance to the Democratic cause of ushering into this nation unbridled socialism.

If you look over the chart below on basic conservative issues, these three “Republicans” Specter, Collins and Snowe agree more with Ted Kennedy and Barak Obama than they do Jim DeMint, a Conservative Republican from South Carolina on the key issues.

specter-collins-and-snow-job14All three may be more conservative on the subject of taxes but does that matter when they heartily support federal funding for health care?   They can oppose high taxes all they want but their support of a federal funding for health coverage insures an additional tax payer burden of upwards to $100 billion per year because “… research sponsored by the Commonwealth Fund shows that achieving universal coverage with a plan similar to Mr. Obama’s campaign proposals would add “only” about $104 billion to federal spending in 2010 — not a small sum” (NYT Health Care Now Paul Krugman, January 29, 2009).

It is perceived by many that these three politicians gave the “Judas Kiss” to their constituencies and many of their supporters are suffering from a pervading case of disappointment and an overall sense of duplicity.  Some on our side even are deluded into thinking that Specter, Collins and Snowe somehow wrestled with their decision before they decided to sell their country down the river.  I don’t think they gave it a second thought. Seeing as history is a good indicator of future behavior looking back on the voting history of these three Senators should have alerted us not to depend on them to come through as champions of conservative principles.

Many in our party are shocked because they believe that there was a perfect opportunity for three Senators, on our side, to stand for the foundations of our Constitution, free markets, individual capitalism, and foundational freedoms.  They thought that they would exhibit the bravery and courage of character to make a difference for the benefit of our nation and true to form they failed.  What many on our side of the aisle failed to recognize that these three Senators stood proudly with “their party”.  They banded together with their leader Barak Obama and hero Ted Kennedy as a solid, cohesive unit.  With the votes of three Senators the socialist steamroller reached a quorum of 60.  It was too bad that gallant Ted Kennedy didn’t just stay home in Massachusetts and rest up for his intended incursion into imposing universal health care on us in the last few months of life.  His swan song will be that he can leave this planet with a legacy that will serve him well by burying the US health system at the bottom of the Chappaquiddick like he did Mary Jo Kopechne.

Without their votes, this economic stimulus package would not have passed in the Senate, “Senators Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and Susan Collins of Maine appeared to be the critical Republicans to sign onto the bill, giving Democrats the 60 votes needed to advance to the final vote.  Democrats also voiced confidence that  Republican Senator Olympia Snowe of Main also would vote for the plan” (Senators Reach Tentative Deal on More Than $800B Economic ‘Spendulus’ Bill, Fox News, 2/05/09).  It is very telling that Arlen Specter called a bill that risks costing American taxpayers $9.7 trillion in bailouts a “moderate compromise”.  Maybe to Senator Specter it’s a moderate compromise, but to rational, reasoning Americans this bill is nothing more than a social engineering manifesto with an initial price tag of 1 trillion dollars, “…stuffed with pork projects and spending programs that don’t even pretend to be about economic growth” (National Review on Line, A Capitulation, Not a Compromise, 2-10-09).

Many conservatives believe that if these Senators would not have broken away and stuck together with their Congressional counterparts, Barak Obama would have had to include the Republican proposals and the bill may have had a very different bent.  What conservatives don’t understand is that Specter, Collins and Snowe would not have been true to their fundamental convictions if they had stood with the Conservatives in the Congress and the Senate.  These three Senators obviously believe we can spend our way out of a recession and don’t seem to have a problem hurting the US Economy.  Maybe they should have spent some time with their buddies in the Democratic controlled Congressional Budget Office who predict the stimulus will in due course hurt the US economy by squeezing out private investment and impeding economic growth.

So it would serve the Conservative Party well to be realists and recognize that we weren’t sold-out for thirty gold coins by Specter, Collins and Snowe because in the long run it will serve our purpose well to separate the wheat from the chaff and differentiate the dark from the light.  Maybe we’ll finally have the wherewithal to distinguish and acknowledge the enemy in our midst and finally rout them out once and for all.  We shouldn’t be surprised that we smell bacon cooking when pigs find themselves in the fire, should we?

When their re-election comes up, because of what we’ve accepted, we now are motivated to grant Specter, Snowe and Collins a new lease on life, a chance to reinvent their futures, to regroup and run as Democrats after we handily boot their pork butts out of our party.  Instead of being disappointed, upset, betrayed and  downtrodden it’s high time to get excited because just as Judas hung himself, so have these three and just as Jesus rose from the dead after His betrayal…the Conservatives in this country are in the process of being resurrected to new life. click here

The Epoch of Irresponsibility

headinthesand-main_full2We need to restore the full meaning of that old word, duty.  It is the other side of rights.  ~Pearl Buck

Many people listening to Barack Obama’s Inaugural Address commented afterward that they “…were especially taken with President Obama’s call for “a new era of responsibility. This is a useful message for Americans of all walks of life to hear — from Wall Street CEOs to unmarried fathers to AARP lobbyists in Washington. The prosperity of recent decades has produced a culture of entitlement and sometimes even of complacency” (CBS News A ‘Responsibility’ Era A pragmatic call to Americans to lift our national game 2-11-08). Just three, short weeks later and I find myself extremely confused…I thought after this historic election we were ushering in a new “Era of responsibility.”

Growing up I was taught that being a responsible meant that I had to be accountable, trustworthy and to be able to always answer for my own actions and obligations. A big part of being responsible included knowing the difference between right and wrong and acting accordingly. So as I matured I learned to always follow through on my obligations and a large part of my commitment included always paying my debts, providing for myself and my family, displaying honesty and fighting vehemently for right and standing strong against wrong. I was taught there were consequences for my actions and that knowledge served as a formidable deterrent and incentive.

On January 20th 2009, the “Era of Responsibility” President sent a strong message, but immediately following his powerful exhortation all his actions have consistently promoted and encouraged quite the opposite. In fact, I would say that if things continue as they have in the last few weeks we have to rename the era and give it a new moniker of “The Epoch of Irresponsibility”.

Since Barry stepped proudly into the Oval Office last month all of his Cabinet Appointments, Executive Orders as well as the “stimulus” bill he is busily hawking have done nothing but underscore the belief that it’s just fine to be irresponsible. In fact, if you are, it might serve you well be you Cabinet appointee, enemy combatant, sluggard or ungrateful citizen.

President Obama’s Cabinet Appointees obviously are among those who supported “Change”.  As expected all of them turn out to be like minded cohorts who rooted and applauded when Obama gave his inspirational “Era of Responsibility” speech. How come these same supporters are also turning out to be a group of Presidential appointees who don’t understand that culpability includes owning up to personal obligations, reliability and meeting the demands of commitments in distinct areas of all our lives? How could those being recruited to oversee the fulfillment of our “responsibility” as citizens of a free nation, view themselves as being exempt from what they enthusiastically espouse and legislate for everybody else?

Timothy Geitner the newly appointed Treasury secretary, who will be responsible for overseeing the IRS, was blatantly irresponsible when it came to paying his own dues. He failed to pay $34,000.00 in taxes for both Social Security and Medicare while he was a senior official at the International Monetary Fund. When an opportunity presented itself for the “Responsibility” President to teach the nation that character is far more valuable than experience, he came down on the side of competency and skill disregarding irresponsibility confirming Geitner to the position.

Senator Tom Daschle was on the precipice of being named to the Cabinet position of Secretary of Health and Human Services when he suddenly awakened to the fact that he somehow failed to pay levies on “…more than $300,000 worth of income he gained through consulting work, including the use of car and driver” (CBS News, White House Says Daschle’s Tax Failure Was a Serious Mistake, Karen Tavers, Jon Karl and Jake Tapper, Feb 2, 2009). When given the opportunity to come down on the side of “responsibility” the “Era of Responsibility” President decided to “absolutely” support Daschle’s nomination.   Daschle had the wherewithal to step down, but at no time did Obama point out to the American people Daschle’s lack of “responsible” behavior, or even his deficiency for overlooking Daschle’s mistake, which I believe was the real “screw up”. I can’t help but wonder if rising through the ranks of the Chicago corrupt political machine and carousing with the likes of Tony Resko, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers and Reverend Wright would make Obama view tax evasion as benign or maybe even consider it a distorted type of character strength?

After declining the nomination, the irresponsible Tom Daschle had his health care suggestions from his scary, socialistic 2008 book “Critical: What We Can Do about the Health-Care Crisis” stealthily woven into the “stimulus” bill. Daschle’s proposals, which if adopted will impact all of our lives in such a way that seniors will face health care rationing and the youth will benefit on the sacrifice of the lives of our elderly population.  The champions of Social Security are ready to sell our seniors down the river to make sure the “useful eaters” get the lion share of the health care subsidies. Daschle’s diabolical ideas will affect every part of health care system, from medical and nursing education, to how patients are treated and hospitals are paid (90-92, 174, 181). All this from someone who “did not realize” that the perks he received were income and failed to report them. If Daschle’s “irresponsible” conduct and daunting plans for Granny doesn’t exempt him from having any input into something so monumental, what does?

Next up we have Nancy Killifer who worked in the Treasury Department and was tapped to be the federal government’s chief performance officer as well as Hilda Solis’ to head the labor Department.  both these women had tax issues in their personal life.  From Killifer’s failure to pay unemployment taxes on hired help in her home, to Solis’ conflict of interest in working with Unions and her husband’s 16-year old tax lien.  Killifer bowed out and Solis’ confirmation is still on hold.   Again, irresponsible behavior rewarded with offers of high ranking, responsible positions by the “Era of Responsibility” President and no public rebuke as a character lesson to a nation in dire need of one.  The message here is that political cronies expect a reprieve for responsibilities the rest of us are under legal mandate to perform.

The “Era of Responsibility” President felt it was his duty to exhibit his support for responsible behavior by overturning President Bush’s Executive Order to disallow federal funding for overseas abortions. By reversing the Mexico City policy, and in an effort to uphold the attitude of fidelity in others, President Obama decided to provide funding for women who would rather evade their responsibility and abort their unborn children. This Executive Order reversal made sure that all those who display the highest form of irresponsibility can receive money from us, even if we’re pro-life. The “Responsibility” President assisted in the disposal of what he espoused to be a “punishment”, one of which he wants his daughters Malia and Sasha to be spared of, in the most brutal and despicable way.

Moving on from there, the “Responsibility” President closed a prison that housed enemy combatants in an effort to teach those who want to destroy our nation, kill our school children and cut off our heads on Youtube that their murderous intentions and actions toward our nation deserve the reward of American civil liberties. To underscore his commitment to trustworthiness the “Responsibility” President’s first phone call to any head of state was to the leader of a terrorist group, Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Liberation Organization . Lest we need to be reminded Hamas is responsible for the deaths of multitudes of Israelis and many of their own innocent people in the Gaza Strip. I’m sure the “responsible” message conveyed to radical Islamic terrorists as well as the Taliban, Al Qaeda and the Fatah party is that they now have a friend in Washington DC.

Immediately following that historic phone call and in a good faith effort to cast himself worldwide as the fortress of “responsibility” our President had the military trials of Guantanamo Bay enemy combatant prisoner’s halted and withdrew all charges against the USS Cole and September 11th murdering masterminds. He ordered all CIA interrogation centers overseas shut down. I guess this was his way of driving home to the international community that accountability for our actions is our top priority and that knowing the difference between right and wrong and acting accordingly is a standard we, as Americans, hold very high.

Today the “Era of Responsibility” President is on a dog and pony show pushing a “Stimulus” bill that bails out irresponsible behavior by taking tax dollars from reliable people and burdening generations yet to come, who are being taught responsibility from their own overtaxed but conscientious parents. His plan to hold forth the placard of “responsibility” for all to see,  is accomplished by extorting earnings from hard working, dependable Americans and “redistributing” them to irresponsible individuals, many of whom have made a lifetime habit of living off the dole.

The “Era of Responsibility” President also intends on bailing out people who acted negligently and bought houses they knew they couldn’t afford, neither holding them liable nor asking them to compensate for their reckless obligations and immature actions. This includes the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), which planned on purchasing assets and equity from failed banks in an effort to strengthen an irresponsible financial sector in hopes of bolstering up the housing market, all in the name of “responsibility”!

Let’s not forget about ACORN. Here is a, “…low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud [who] could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House…this stimulus bill winding its way through Congress [could] provide $4.19 billion for “neighborhood stabilization activities” (Fox News.com, Republicans Object to Stimulus Dollars for ACORN, January 27, 2009)? The sensible thing for the “Era of Responsibility” President to do would be to announce that any organization under criminal investigation should be exempt from receiving stimulus monies.  The willy-nilly handing out of hard earned American tax dollars to those who foster voter fraud can hardly be viewed as demanding accountability and questionable behavior answer for their antics from the “Responsibility” President.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the message of “responsibility” that is being conveyed to our citizens when we realize that, “ The $800 billion-plus economic stimulus measure making its way through Congress could steer government checks to illegal immigrants…the legislation, which would send tax credits of $500 per worker and $1,000 per couple…would allow people who don’t have Social Security numbers to be eligible for the checks…undocumented immigrants who are not eligible for a Social Security number can file tax returns with an alternative number.  A House-passed version of the economic recovery bill and one making its way through the Senate would allow anyone with such a number, called an individual taxpayer identification number, to qualify for the tax credits” (Associated Press, Hill Republican: Stimulus aids illegal immigrants, 1-29-09). The word “illegal” is defined as, prohibited by law and prohibited by official laws – so what could be a better lesson in “responsibility” than handing out dollars earned by an honest, law abiding populace to people who are breaking the laws and over running this nation. To drive the point home, the “Responsibility” President should oversee the distribution of the checks at a prime-time ceremony on national TV, complete with Greek columns and replete with the cheers of adoring crowds goading him on.

In response to the Great Communicator making “responsibility” such a priority during the first three weeks of his historic Presidency, the effect of his efforts were on full display yesterday at a town hall meeting in Fort Meyers. Two participants at the event embodied the fullness of accountable, individualism and just screamed private conscientiousness. Responsibility entails personal accountability and the ability to act without guidance or superior authority. A responsible person is someone who is the source or the cause! It was apparent that Obama’s responsibility message had really accomplished its’ goal when town hall attendee Henrietta Hughes presented the “Responsibility” President with her “urgent” need to provide her with a job, home, car, a bump up on the housing authority waiting list – followed up by a kitchen and a bathroom. Santa Claus promptly reached inside his bag of goodies and soothed Henrietta telling to speak to his staff.

Not to be over looked Obama’s laundry list of entitlements was added to by Julio Osegueda, a Florida College student, who was so excited about being chosen by the President that he screamed out, “Oh, gracious God, thank you so much”, which left me to wonder who exactly he was referring to, the Almighty or Obama? But I digress–Osequeda’s breathless question was to implore the “Responsibility” President to use his influence to coerce McDonald’s into providing him with better employee benefits. Obviously, to more patriotic Americans such as me, Julio comes across a tad ungrateful, especially in a time of such “catastrophic crisis”. For him to have a job at all, especially from a company that “…during a year when the stock market lost a third of its value …shares of McDonald’s gained nearly 6 percent, making the company one of only two in the Dow Jones industrial average whose share price rose in 2008.” (NYT, At McDonald’s, the Happiest Meal Is Hot Profits, Andrew Martin, Feb 10-09) puts him among, according to Obama, the insignificant percentage of Americans with both health care and a paycheck. I really think he should to be more inclined toward “fairness” and patriotism. Julio should kick in, sacrifice and above all not ask for more! get link

So as a truly responsible person I think it’s my duty to point out to anyone who recognizes that words mean very little and actions tell the whole story that the only one who is actually acting “responsible” in this scenario is the “Responsibility” President himself.  He is personally answerable for the parade of slacker attitudes and idler initiatives we’ve seen on display.  His soaring, stirring rhetoric, promises and indolent inspiring ideologies are the source and cause of a pervading entitlement attitude that we see overtaking our nation.  Obama’s lack of action and reaction has sent the message that there are zero consequences for wrong or negligent deeds, and in fact, there may very well be rewards.  The “Responsibility” President has fostered a “what’s in it for me” mentality that those who should be accepting the responsibility for their own lives, destiny and future ought to instead look toward government to shoulder their burdens.

To call this the “Era of Responsibility” and then to spend the first three weeks of a Presidential tenure supporting, encouraging, financing irresponsible people and actions and promising to subsidize circumstances, which foster further irresponsibility makes you the only “responsible” person practicing what you preach Mr. President in this your “Era of Responsibility”. http://thememanual.com/?buy=Viagra-Price-Cut&042=39

The Benjamin Button Bailout

If you think about it, aren’t you just fed up with children in general? I’ve spent a large portion of my life working to take care of my kids and I’m down right sick of it. Now I have an eleven year old grandson and he’s just like his mother was, all he wants to do is eat and play while his parents and grandparents do nothing but take care of him. We work hard to assure his well-being, education, safety and future and he does nothing to pull his own weight. go to link “Change” is what is needed to turn this situation around.

Think about it–all the years of seeing babies being hauled around in car seats, pushed in strollers, hand fed and coddled–it’s just not “fair”. The unappreciative attitude children have goes on for years too, playing endlessly in playgrounds, care-free roller–blading around in beautiful parks, riding their bicycles with the wind in their face, fun birthday parties, lollipops, balloons, school and sports all with a cheery, happy attitude and quite frankly I’m sick of them all! Continual trips to Disneyland, Toys R Us and McDonalds without ever chipping in, and for what? To give a bunch of ungrateful little brats what they want? Well I think it’s about time these youthful leeches learned it’s not all about them.

I’m ecstatic that Washington DC finally has a group governing, which has the insightful wisdom to shift the responsibility in the direction of an irresponsible brood and they’ve done it in a wonderful, modern Benjamin Button sort of way. The “stimulus” plan they are proposing will insidiously insure that the younger child, the more the liability and the longer they’ll have to haul around a huge monetary burden, in the process giving us older folks some long deserved relief. As they roll around in their bassinet groping for their pacifiers, it’s nice to know that the more infantile they are the greater the weight they’ll have to take on. The younger and more youthful the age the more heavily encumbered with debt they will be. Like Benjamin Button, a baby on the outside, but unbeknownst to themselves loaded down with a world of worry, concern and endless pressure, a debt mobile over their cribs spinning around at dizzying speed. They might not realize it now, as they go about their self-centered business of learning to crawl and sticking their fingers into their belly buttons, but in due time these little blood suckers will find out what its’ like to pull their own weight, to kick in and to pay up!

What could be better than teaching the very people who need a hard life lesson what it feels like to have to take care of ungrateful, selfish, self-absorbed people? I think the President, Congress and the Senate are all brilliant! They are “killing two birds with one stone” and giving our children a message, which I think anyone who has children of their own, would agree is long overdue. It’s a valuable pattern that can be passed down to our children’s children and maybe even their children’s, children, which gives this opportunity for instruction a power, which can endure for decades.

While they are out there running lighthearted in the streets, it gives me immense satisfaction to know that they really aren’t “free”, even if they haven’t realized it yet. I hope I live long enough to see the look on their faces when the hard truth hits them. Even if they are too immature to know it now there will come a day when that blithe smile they all wear is wiped off their faces and as they grow the sweet revenge for all of us is that the happy-go-lucky, untroubled outlook they all freely enjoy right now, will be drained from their lives like a bucket with a hole in it trying to fill with water.

They need to find out what it feels like to have to have an endless mound of debt in front of them brought on them by others who are ultimately responsible for it. They should be required to work day and night for their entire lives to pay for a debt they had no part in incurring. It’s our turn to live on the dole. We shouldn’t have to worry about the future we should be able to slough it off on them. I mean with all the soccer they’ve played and all the driving to practices we’ve done, they should at least have learned how to be team players. It will do them good, build in character. We want them too to have a chance to prove their patriotism, get with the program and “step up to the plate!”

So what if we’ve spent 1 trillion dollars already to bailout the banks. Who cares if we’re being pitched a 1 trillion dollar stimulus package that will do nothing to stimulate the economy? I can guarantee that in due time our new Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner, true to his past history, will have to back track and realize he will probably have to ask for another trillion or so. Why should we care, it won’t be our problem…it will be a prime-time progeny problem, “The Federal Reserve, Treasury Department and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have lent or spent almost $3 trillion over the past two years and pledged up to $5.7 trillion more. The Senate is to vote this week on an economic-stimulus measure of at least $780 billion. It would need to be reconciled with an $819 billion plan the House approved last month.

What could be better than acting like children ourselves and not worrying our little heads about it now? There is a lot to be said for letting the “chips fall where they may” many of us have done it by buying houses we couldn’t afford. Who better to carry the weight of “bailing us out” than children who have sucked the life out of us and now have an opportunity to make up for every expense that they’ve caused us. All we have to do is make sure the National Endowment of the Arts has their 50 million to fund Albert Kahle’s giant macramé penis exhibition. We should just continue to go about our business, throw caution to the wind, eventually die and leave the little rug rats the bill to worry about.

So what if “The United States looks to issue between $3.5 and $4 trillion of government debt over the next two years, possibly more, thanks to deficit spending under current policy, the stimulus bill, and the financing of TARP II. To put this in context, the total publicly held debt today is about $6.4 trillion, so we’re talking about increasing the outstanding debt by more than half in just two years.” Part of the plan is to save us from our mistakes by running up a debt so large that there is no other choice but to have our children and grandchildren be saddled with the bill…accomplishing the desired goal of teaching these generational ingrates a lesson.

It will probably work itself out anyway because, the stimulus bill is going to appropriate 116 Billion dollars toward education to give our children all the opportunities for success that they could possibly need. The dollars will set academic standards with No Child Left Behind, K-12, our public schools will be modernized and Pell Grant amounts will be boosted. There will even be 2.1 billion allocated for Head Start, a government run program, which prepares small children for school by enhancing their social and cognitive development. Head Start provides with our tax dollars, educational, health, nutritional and social services to children who qualify for the program. All these efforts will insure that the children who benefit from these subsidies will someday be able to make the massive amounts of tax dollars needed to shoulder the over whelming expense of these same programs. So it all evens out in the end. We don’t want to hear any whining, the children will be more than able to pay for all these things. We need to disregard the fact that these initiatives were supposedly instituted in hopes of alleviating future financial encumbrances in underprivileged children’s lives.

If our children should decide it’s not adventitious to prosper because of the overwhelming tax weight, which may make it more conducive to avoid being a tax payer, not to worry because the stimulus bill is presently putting into place welfare programs which make up 35% of the total package. So if all else fails and our habitually lazy offspring decide they’d rather stay home and play Wii or maybe play handball at one of the parks that they will be paying 2.5 billion for, it won’t matter because being a low income person our children, louts and sluggards that they are can now freely join the corps of the “Millions of Americans who don’t make enough money to pay federal income taxes[and] could file returns…and receive checks.” What could be better?

So our nation needs to take a corporate deep breath, relax and just accept the stimulus bill that, “…will affect us all directly for years, as well as our children and possibly grandchildren. Even if it succeeds in producing enough jobs and consumer and business spending to end the recession, it could lead to a combination of higher taxes, higher interest rates and possibly reduced government services down the road.” We need to acknowledge that this bill serves a double purpose, one of which is to teach a lesson children have needed down through the ages, which is that you don’t get something for nothing.

This is our golden opportunity to be the selfish, self-centered, irresponsible children we’ve always longed to be ourselves. We can do this by ushering in a national Nanny state that will nurse its citizen base at its teats like a wet nurse full to bursting with overextended debt. While we greedily suckle away the ones who are presently nursing at their mother’s breasts are the ones who will ultimately suffer its most devastating effects. While we view them as being the immature, inexperienced ones in need of a lesson, it will be our children and their children who will follow who will be ultimately responsible for saving a nation whose future was squandered by parents and grandparents who accepted a go site “Change” that very nearly ended up being their nation’s demise.

The Urgency Emergency

Last November, large masses of people impetuously rushed to the polls, without thought and devoid of proper consideration as to the long term effect of what they were doing. They were compelled, forced and impelled by the cult of personality, mainstream media pressure and the desire to be part of “change” dynamics gone awry. They were victims of an “urgency emergency”. When asked why he was in such a hurry to run, Obama told Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes in February of 2007 that, “… we have a narrow window to solve some of the problems that we face…and so I feel a sense of urgency for the country” (60 Minutes, Candidate Obama’s Sense of Urgency, Daniel Schorn, Feb 11/11). So the candidate, whose urging got him elected in the first place, is again pressing a forceful argument to push a leftist agenda while governing.

Just a few short weeks into the new hope and change Administration, many of those electorally exhorted Americans are bit-by-bit becoming aware that the persona they put in office could very well be fundamentally unprepared. How did this happen? Could it be because the general public was uninformed and did not have enough background information to make an educated, intelligent choice? The urgency frequency was turned up to such a high decibel that it drowned out reason. There was history that should have been laid bare that wasn’t, which included…the candidate’s lack of executive and administrative experience, his shady personal connections and questionable political alliances. Yet responding to an imposed urgency to institute liberal leadership the mainstream media failed to provide the necessary details that would have contributed to what might very well have been a quite different election result. They avoided properly vetting the one individual who should have been microscopically analyzed under an ocular lens. By not doing so many important specifics, which could have affected support or lack thereof conveniently, went unexposed. In turn, a new President was ferried into the White House on a wave of urgency coupled together with corporate good will, historic histrionics all buoyed by an ignorant, naïve electorate enthralled with popularity and race-based politics.

Are the American people not paying close enough attention to what is going on again? We are being “opinion herded” hurried urgently to accept a “stimulus” bill on hasty, breathless fright tactics all over again? We are not getting the details of what will be a bill that Americans yet unborn will be responsible for shouldering. We hear the snorting of the pig but can’t get close enough to the sty to scope out its contents.

We just spend eight years being told that we were victims of fear mongering. We lost 3,000 American citizens murdered by fanatical Islamic terrorists, but were told our inherent apprehension was unfounded and fostered by manipulation? Wasn’t the urgency to defend ourselves from fanatical Islam pooh-poohed by the intelligentsia? Weren’t we led to believe that the urgent prospect of a nuclear or biological attack should dispel rather than encourage anxiety? Weren’t we brainwashed to believe that the sight of American citizens being beheaded on national TV was no cause for alarm? A pressing fear reaction was portrayed as out of proportion and a means of a push toward war by those who were supposedly nurturing it. Furrowed eyebrows in the mainstream media, negatively nodded at the Bush Administration’s effort to stress the threat our nation was under and used valid concern for our safety as a means of demonizing an Administration that was striving urgently to do whatever necessary to protect a nation and its populace both here and abroad.

Surprisingly, this same “fear” that was decried when it was used for valid reasons, has become an accepted emotion by a bias liberal press and political party that recently realized urgency might be a viable vehicle for them to usher in their own power in Washington DC. Palpable urgent unease was rampant during the campaign of 2008. We were led to believe that if Barak Obama was not elected all would be lost on every front, for every American. He was our only hope, our only glimmer of prospect for the future. It became a question for many as to how our great nation possibly survived 200 years before Obama came on the scene. Large masses of people were led to accept as true that without Obama every right, we as American’s held dear, was in danger of being lost. Fifty-four percent of the electorate swallowed the propaganda, not thinking that possibility they were accepting what they were encouraged to reject in the past. Even now many seem to be oblivious to the fact that our first and second amendment rights might be in jeopardy just two weeks into an Administration that promised to preserve the rights we all were told we were in urgent danger of losing?

Cyclic economic downturn has now taken residence far above a terrorist attack on the left’s fear-o-meter. The Democrat’s and their panting minions decided “urgent fear” was acceptable and deemed it a tolerable means if it could accomplish a desired political end. That result being the complete conquest of Congress, the Senate, the White House and now the possession of the entire American economy. Fear over that same economy was hammered home for months before the election. As a political ploy, the Democratic candidate, together with his compliant allies in the press, methodically pounded away at the American people successfully unnerving them with both urgency and fear toward a victorious desired end. They won! The same political party that had for eight years decried the “Politics of Fear” were now unabashedly the proprietors of panic, harbingers of horror and the denizens of dread.

This urgency campaign is once again forcing a poorly thought out, impulsive reaction to a crisis as they did with their substandard candidate. Information is scarce, details are lacking and breathless urgency and warnings of disaster are the only fine points we have to make a decision as to whether we accept or reject a spending bill, just as we did a President, whose influence will reach and reverberate for generations.

The economic crisis we find ourselves in is being portrayed as the worst since the depression and has laughably been depicted as irreversible if Obama’s urgent remedy isn’t adopted promptly and without delay. Cyclic economic cycles that change like the tides can and will reverse themselves. Yet the American people were recently shepherded by fear to accept an ill advised 700 billion bailout package based on the urgency of the moment, which did nothing to improve economy. Now they’re being told that sheer calamity awaits us if we don’t all say, “Yes We Can” to an 800+ billion dollar stimulus package that is mostly spending, misappropriated tax rebates and very little stimulus. Strangely, the hope and change Administration is hauling the country headlong in a direction on a stage coach full of irreversible depression and steering it right into a socialist stable. Our esteemed leader is parking us in a stall replete with government control, restrictions, big spending, high taxes and loss of freedoms that American’s haven’t contemplated the ramifications of, because of the frenetic tactics that are being used to foist it upon them.

On November 4th of 2008 our nation responded to a fabricated urgency emergency by electing a short-term “shot with in the arm” of hope and change in the form of a President that has no substance to sustain it. We are now being asked again to accept a similar remedy in the form of the first piece of legislation that is being forced down our throats. This urgency induced bill may produce a short term shot of money into our economy but its policies have nothing of value to sustain it. All this urgency very well might be the impetuous to undermine our nation on a deep abiding level and put us in worse condition than we found ourselves in six-months ago on both the Executive and economic level when we attempted to fix what we thought was so bad by responding to the harbingers of a hype induced urgency emergency.
