An honorary degree recipient stupefies Rutgers

Barack Obama recently accepted an invitation to be the keynote speaker at Rutgers University’s commencement.  After gracing the podium with the usual perfunctory niceties, rather than exhibit sensitivity toward Muslim graduates, Barack Hussein exercised his comedic chops by joking about whether New Jersey breakfast meat should be called pork roll or “Taylor ham.”

Then, after sharing that he has  “soft spot” for “typical white” and 99-year-oldgrandmas in need of pacemakers, America’s classless president spent a great deal of time rebuking the Republican presumptive nominee.

In addition to admonishing Trump, President Obama used the commencement speech as a platform to lift up progressive ideology, put down political adversaries, and defend the last eight years. His remarks started with lauding the diversity of a graduating class that included a South Asian philosophy student and a “first-generation Latina student from Jersey City” who probably wouldn’t need a translator to understand Target’s new all Spanish ad campaign.

As an entrée to challenging the class to pursue social justice, Obama told them, “I’m fond of quoting Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who he believes once said, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”  One small problem, MLK didn’t say it, the 19th-century Unitarian minister/abolitionist Theodore Parker did.

After Obama expunged Winston Churchill from the redecorated Oval Office, the president, who exploited the Rutgers discourse to ridicule his political adversaries for lack of brainpower, had the misquote emblazoned on the rug.

At Rutgers, the guy who just said he has a “soft spot” for grandmas also injected divisiveness by suggesting that the older Americans are full of  “fear… division and paralysis.”  Then he commended #feelthebern moochers for their “cooperation … innovation and hope.”

The president told the soon to be alumni, “So you’ve got the tools to lead us…you’ll look at things with fresher eyes, unencumbered by the biases and blind spots and inertia and general crankiness of your parents and grandparents and old heads like me.” In other words, anyone who doesn’t worship Barack Obama is biased, blind, inert, cranky and “longing for the ‘good old days’.”

That’s why, the president informed the graduates, “the ‘good old days’ weren’t that great.” He warned that all talk about the past should be taken “with a grain of salt,” because it comes from a generation that flourished when “America pretty much did whatever it wanted around the world.”

After belittling the elders, Obama praised himself when he said, “In fact, by almost every measure, America is better, and the world is better, than it was 50 years ago, or 30 years ago, or even eight years ago” – a comment that thrilled the clapping seals in mortarboards.

For good measure, the president also brought up slavery, Jim Crow, and the suppression of women’s rights.  Then he claimed that since 1983, the year his college transcripts went missing, crime, teenage pregnancy, and poverty rates have declined.

Obama chose not to quote statistics regarding illegal felons roaming our streets and threatening our children, 50+ million aborted American babies, and millions of unemployed people receiving government subsidies.

Nor did the equal pay advocate mention that in his own administration women still earn less than men.

Instead, Obama bedazzled spectators with bluster about jobs, Obamacare, clean energy, and marriage equality.  He even mentioned eliminating polio, and cutting infant mortality, but didn’t reference importing Third World diseases like MDR-TB, or Planned Parenthood peddling baby body parts.

Barack Obama is so clueless, that in an attempt to inspire his audience, the pro-choice president mentioned Alice Paul, who, besides being a “daughter of New Jersey” and a suffragette, was ardently pro-life.

After hearing the Rutgers University keynote commencement speech delivered by Barack Obama, it’s clear that the 44th president thinks he is the Bill Cosby of politics.  The difference is that unlike Cosby, who was accused of drugging women with Quaaludes, to stupefy his audience, Obama infuses his delusional rhetoric with Cosby-style humor.

Thanks to Obama, Rutgers graduates have much to fear; yet the president encouraged them not to fear the future.  That led him to a second point where he stressed globalism, which he defined as an “interconnected…world.”   Then, Obama hinted that he believes responsible border security is solving a problem “in isolation.”

This is Obama’s rationale:

When overseas states start falling apart, they become breeding grounds for terrorists …that ultimately can reach our shores.  When developing countries don’t have functioning health systems, epidemics like Zika or Ebola can spread and threaten Americans, too.

True, a wall won’t stop terrorism or disease. But, enforcing immigration law and refusing to import and resettle refugees that ISIS has vowed to infiltrate might help.

After hamstringing the U.S. military Obama then added:

But I worry if we think that the entire burden of our engagement with the world is up to the 1 percent who serve in our military, and the rest of us can just sit back and do nothing.  They can’t shoulder the entire burden.

Then, further along in the speech the keynote speaker contradicted that logic when he said, “We can close tax loopholes on hedge fund managers and take that money and give tax breaks to help families with child care or retirement.” Put simply, when it comes to “leveling the playing field,” the excuse Obama uses to demilitarize the armed forces, he then uses to justify forcing a small percentage of earners to support those who  “just sit back and do nothing.”

Lacking any quality input of his own, without uttering his name, Obama spent a lot of time taking Donald Trump to task.

After mocking Trump “building an endless wall,” Barack pulled out the “isolating and disparaging Muslims” card, the “betrayal of our values” card and the “important partners in the fight against violent extremism” card.

Oh, and right before some egghead in the audience yelled “Four more years!”, Obama insinuated Trump “blames [America’s] challenges on immigrants.”

From there, in an attempt to portray anyone who disagrees with his politics as uneducated, illogical, “anti-intellectual” and troglodyte in nature, Obama implied that those who contradict his views, namely Trump, lack “facts, evidence, reason, logic, [and] an understanding of science.” This from a guy who doesn’t believe partially born newborns are human and that greenhouse gasses are a bigger threat than ISIS teaching French boys how to kill.

With that in mind, maybe Obama should refrain from highlighting his own shortcomings by saying things like, “In politics and in life, ignorance is not a virtue.  It’s not cool to not know what you’re talking about. ”

After emphasizing that the “good old days” should be taken with a “grain of salt,” Obama painted a certain Republican presidential candidate as unenlightened by calling upon our  ‘enlightened’ limited government Founding Fathers, many of whom owned the slaves he alluded to when talking about disregarding our nation’s past.

Obama, who scorns rugged individualism and who once called our Constitution “deeply flawed” told his audience “rational thought and experimentation and the capacity of informed citizens to master our own fates…[is] embedded in our constitutional design.”

That was right before the man who thinks he’s “the smartest guy in the room” cited modern technology making us “more confident in our ignorance.” And, quite frankly, who better than Barack Obama to recognize that “a whole lot of folks who are book smart…have no common sense?”

Barack alluded to Donald when he mentioned leaders who have “a disdain for facts, when they’re not held accountable for repeating falsehoods.” Maybe, instead of expelling CO2 when talking climate change, Obama should take some time to self-reflect.

In a call to the citizenry that sounded more like a quote from Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto than a college commencement speech by an American president, Obama mentioned “collective decisions on behalf of a common good.”

Then, after implying that Donald Trump is a complete idiot, Obama, who clearly forgets what he’s reading off the Teleprompter, said progressive goals are reached through “advocacy… organizing… alliance-building, and deal-making, and …changing of public opinion.”  Obama claimed all this “happened because ordinary Americans who cared participated in the political process.”

A legend in his own mind, what’s clear is that Obama doesn’t realize that those are the very things that propelled the “Art of the Deal”-maker to the front of the pack.

In the end, Obama offered the Rutgers graduating Class of 2016 insights he’s never taken to heart himself. That’s why, when the president uttered the words, “your generation will feel the brunt of this catastrophe,” it sounded more like he was referring to his presidency than an issuing indictment on climate change denial or Donald Trump.

MICHELLE AND BARACK: Put-Upon Victims of Racism

funny-barack-michelle-obama-face-300x180Originally posted at Clash Daily

Michelle and Barack Obama recently sat down with Peoplemagazine, the outstanding journalistic publication that gave us the Brittany Maynard: I Moved to Oregon so I Could Kill Myself saga and the poorest selling People cover of the year: Hillary & the White House.

The bigotry issue focuses on the gripes of two angry racists who ignore the fact that they have exploited skin color all the way to the White House. Instead of being grateful, six years into Obama’s second term as president of a country with a white majority, he and Michelle feel now is as good a time as any to discuss their “racist experiences.”

Throughout the interview, Michelle, a woman with less-than-stellar grades who didn’t mind using her skin color as a springboard to an elite institution like Princeton, laughed “wryly”. Failing to mention the very valid reasons why a cab driver on the South Side of Chicago might be hesitant to pick up a young black man, Michelle had this to say:

I think people forget that we’ve lived in the White House for six years. Before that, Barack Obama was a black man that lived on the South Side of Chicago, who had his share of troubles catching cabs.

Maybe Michelle doesn’t know about cab drivers like Edwin Obazuaye. Edwin was a 48-year-old black man who, in March of 2013, picked up Eric Taylor and another passenger in the Auburn Gresham area on the South Side of Chicago. Taylor robbed Edwin and after shooting the taxi drive stole his cell phone. As a result of being shot in the back and suffering a wound to the head, four days later Edwin died.

While Michelle was pointing out to People magazine the injustice of young black men being unable to hail cabs on Chicago’s Southside, the first lady also forgot to mention 17-year-old rapper Clint Massey, aka RondoNumbaNine. In February of this year, Massey was charged with shooting and killing black cab driver, 28-year-old Javan Boyd.

During the gripping interview, the first lady informed People that just because she wears $12K gowns and her husband sits in the most influential seat of power in the world, they are not insulated from racism.

For example, Michelle shared one disturbing incident that took place on her fake relate-to-the-little-people expedition to Target in 2011 which, at the time, seemed more about height and laundry soap than skin color and racism.

However, three years later, after mulling it over a bit, Michelle now sees the Tide Encounter quite differently. The first lady told People:

I tell this story – I mean, even as the first lady – during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf. Because she didn’t see me as the first lady, she saw me as someone who could help her. Those kinds of things happen in life. So it isn’t anything new.

Amazingly, America’s 5’11” first lady, who in 2011 relayed the story to David Letterman as an amusing tale of a short woman unaware she was asking the first lady to help her reach some laundry soap, has now morphed into racism.

Michelle was not alone. Barack, the man who, despite being unable to express himself very well in writing, became president of the Harvard Law Review, and who is presently POTUS despite his razor-thin resume, piped up and said, “There’s no black male my age, who’s a professional, who hasn’t come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn’t hand them their car keys.”

Besides the fact that there are just as many white valets as there are black valets, one would think Obama would view the get-me-my-car faux pas as a compliment. Distrusting a black valet with one’s car keys would certainly be a more appropriate example of racism than handing over the keys to the Mercedes.

Not only that, but people do make mistakes. After all, wasn’t it Obama who misidentified a Navy corpsman as a “corpse-man?” Doesn’t that even things up?

Not on your life!

Mrs. Obama recalled another unsettling incident when the president was “wearing a tuxedo at a black-tie dinner, and somebody asked him to get coffee.” What Michelle didn’t mention was whether Barry was standing against the wall with his arms crossed whispering to Valerie Jarrett, also in black tie.

In fairness, the Obamas did have the common decency to admit to People that racism in America has gotten better, especially because that waiter/valet is now the president, but not before adding the following qualifier: “The small irritations or indignities that we experience are nothing compared to what a previous generation experienced.”

Then Obama stressed that progress still needs to be made because:

It’s one thing for me to be mistaken for a waiter at a gala. It’s another thing for my son to be mistaken for a robber and to be handcuffed, or worse, if he happens to be walking down the street and is dressed the way teenagers dress.

Wait! Does Obama have a son? If not, is the president using the “son” example to imply that out of the approximately seven million black males between the ages of 12 and 30 living in America, attempting to walk with one’s belt mid-thigh and lurking around in a hoodie is the only reason some of these young hooligans are being accused of robbery or worse?

Either way, the Obamas were correct that progress has been made with racism.

Unfortunately, with hypersensitive elites offering highly dubious examples of prejudice and excusing the bad behavior of some black males, the progress is making a U-turn and taking us backwards.

And as a result, just like everything else our first black president has accomplished, with the help of his wife Michelle, Barack Obama has managed to dumb down real racism and trump up the made-up kind.

Michelle’s Hard-Knock Life Story Comes to China

Originally posted at American Thinker

Recycling her tried-and-true American dream story, Michelle Obama gave Chinese schoolchildren the same stump speech she delivers everywhere she goes, from Ireland to Chicago.  The FLOTUS has used her hard-knock life tale to justify more vacations for herself than her husband has golf balls.

The problem is that the story is exaggerated, and even if it weren’t, to complain about struggling as a child in a free country as opposed to a struggling as a child in a country where the annual average family income is $10,220 today, which is similar to what it was in 1972 in the U.S. when six-year-old Michelle Obama was supposedly struggling, proves the woman is oblivious.

As if being a pop artist or a professional basketball star worth $130 million is something Chinese children could aspire to, Michelle pointed to the difficult upbringings of African-Americans such as LeBron James and singer Janelle Monáe.

Then, it was on to the CEO of Starbucks, Howard Schultz, who Mrs. Obama also used as an example. The problem with mentioning Howard is that the Chinese press and maybe even Chinese government has “accused [Starbucks] of overcharging … “outrageous’ prices compared to those paid by consumers in the U.S. and elsewhere.”

From there, Michelle went on to her usual disingenuous “raised by a single mother who sometimes struggled to afford food for their family” story about chubby little Barry, who, quite frankly, looked as if he never missed a meal.

The FLOTUS then insisted on talking up the value of education to Chinese students who rank #1 in the world in math, reading and science.

Notwithstanding that Obama likely did worse on his SAT exams than alleged dolt G.W. Bush, and not mentioning the fact that no one has ever seen any of Obama’s college records, Michelle continued on with “But like me, this guy got scholarships and loans to attend universities.”

Unlike the U.S. where household debt is 136% of earnings, in China that debt hovers around 17%.  If federal borrowing is factored into that equation, the “United States number increases an additional $109,792 per household, to $224,303 per household or 266% of average household income.”

As Shelley prattled on, Chinese high school students had to be wondering why the tall lady from America, the country that owes China $1.3 trillion, is encouraging them to borrow money for student loans.

Leaving out community organizing, Michelle then told of her husband’s personal struggle to become a lawyer – though currently without a law license – and a “professor” who was more accurately referred to by the University of Chicago as a part-time, non-tenured senior lecturer.

From the tale of professor Barack, Michelle went straight to a spiel on Barack’s (brief) time as state senator, where he often voted “present” – a sign of things to come.  Then Barack became a U.S. senator, where his über-liberal voting record belied the fake moderate persona he successfully passed off in 2008.  And finally, Michelle finished up with president, where Mr. Obama has done a bang-up job indebting America to the very children Mrs. Obama was lecturing.

Michelle went on to say that LeBron, Janelle, Howard, and Barry’s stellar accomplishments “are the stories of so many Americans, and of America itself.”

Omitting the recent-added “who you love” part, Michelle said, “because in America, we believe that no matter where you live or how much money your parents have, or what race or religion or ethnicity you are, if you work hard and believe in yourself, then you should have a chance to succeed.”

For college grads in China jobs are scarce, but if Michelle was referring to the U.S., where jobs are nonexistent, those words may have been true prior to 2008, but since then, “if you work hard and believe in yourself,” you still probably won’t succeed.  And if you happen to beat insurmountable odds, and build something on your own, you’ll be demonized and robbed blind by the Extortionist and his sidekick government.

Then the FLOTUS told children trapped in the tentacles of communism that “We also believe that everyone is equal, and that we all have the right to say what we think and worship as we choose, even when others don’t like what we say or don’t always agree with what we believe.”

Has Mrs. Obama ever heard about the Tiananmen Square massacre or thought about all the political and religious prisoners held captive in China?  As for back home, those lofty sentiments wouldn’t fly with the unborn, the Catholic Church, the Tea Party, or anyone who dares call an assertive female “bossy.”

Clearly, Michelle was also unaware that in 1988, three years after she handed in her racist diatribe/Princeton senior thesis, “a violent, 300-strong mob broke into an African students’ dormitory at Nanjing University …while chanting ‘down with the black devils.’”

In an Asian Scientist article entitled “Who’s The Fairest of Them All?” David Tan (no, really) pointed out that “All across Asia fair skin is highly prized… a fair complexion is considered the epitome of beauty.” With cultural sensitivities in mind, maybe Mrs. Obama should have steered clear of race, and just concentrated on the nutritional deficit associated with having white rice as a staple.

Instead, Michelle chose to bring up America’s racist past, saying, “Many decades ago, there were actually laws in America that allowed discrimination against black people like me, who are a minority in the United States.”

Did the woman who arrived on Air Force One wearing a $3,000 dress and is staying in an $8,400 per night hotel suite, really feel it was necessary to allege that she was discriminated against?

In fairness, Mrs. Obama did attempt to convey that, “slowly but surely,” America has changed. But not before she told truly downtrodden people who dream of freedoms Michelle has taken for granted her whole ‘oppressed’ life, children whose families barely subsist on $10,000 per year, that in America “living up to these ideals isn’t always easy.”

All in all, a petulant Michelle Obama complaining about anything to utterly subjugated, poverty-stricken children in communist China can be likened to crying over a hangnail in a cancer ward.

Al Sharpton and Sheila Jackson Lee Translate Racial Code

Originally posted at American Thinker

This whole “Differ with Barack Obama and You’re a Racist” thing is getting old.  Take for example Texas Democrat congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.  Sheila has already made it known that disagreeing with the first black president instantly makes you a racist.  Besides being at odds with Barack, more recently Jackson Lee has also declared racist any mention — by a white candidate, that is — of blue-collar work or, for that matter, any-color food stamps.

Thankfully, food stamps no longer come in a multicolored booklet that Sheila can scrutinize for racial undertones.  Even so, according to the congresswoman, Newt Gingrich daring to mention the words “food stamps” was inappropriate code whose intent was merely to “generate and signify race.”

Now, Sheila Jackson Lee’s official racially offended male counterpart, Reverend Al Sharpton, has decided that, if it seems rude and involves Obama and a Republican, it should immediately be exposed for what it is — racial antagonism.

The latest Republican to be installed in the Racist Hall of Shame is Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona.  After meeting and greeting President Obama on the tarmac of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and despite being sued by his administration, Governor Brewer invited him to have lunch and join her for a tour of the border.

Barack Obama, hypersensitive narcissist that he is, decided to disregard Brewer’s gracious welcome and instead chose to immediately address what he felt was the governor’s negative depiction of him as “patronizing” in her book Scorpions for Breakfast.  Referring to the confrontation, Brewer said that she “felt a bit threatened, if you will, in the attitude that he had.”

Exercising the type of feminist muscle liberals usually applaud, pint-sized Jan refused to be intimidated by Obama’s confrontational demeanor and fought back.  Thus, the newest addition to the “That’s Racist” laundry list: white governor refusing to be pushed around by black president.  And while pointing and wagging your finger in the face of anyone, let alone the president of the United States, is never a good idea, Sharpton’s assertion that Brewer’s spirited response to Obama’s rebuke was racist is a bit over the top.

Based on the incident, Al Sharpton also flagged as racist such mildly critical terms as “thin-skinned” and feeling “a bit threatened.”  Sirius XM radio host Joe Madison, who appeared on Reverend Sharpton’s MSNBC show Politics Nation, contributed the following to the indictment: “unacceptable” and “disrespectful” finger-pointing, refusing to apologize, asking to see a president’s college grades, and referring to President Obama by just his last name.

Speaking directly into the camera, Al Sharpton passionately addressed Jan Brewer directly, saying, “Thin-skinned?  You felt threatened?  What does that mean, you felt threatened?  By the president of the United States?  This is yet another example of disrespect and delegitimatizing this president.”  Hilary O. Shelton, senior vice president for advocacy and policy at the NAACP, concurred and posed a question of his own to Brewer: “What were you afraid he would do, steal your purse?”

So, according to Al Sharpton, henceforth, if you’re a petite Caucasian woman being reprimanded by a tall, imposing black president, and you’re intimidated and overreact, you’re a racist.

And that’s not all. Al Sharpton also feels that Jan Brewer giving a handwritten letter to the president that said “I’d love an opportunity to share with you how we’ve been able to turn Arizona around with hard choices that turned out to be the right ones” was sort of like mentioning “food stamps” and could also be considered racist code.

Sharpton contends that Brewer’s lunch/border invite was just a devious attempt to demean Barack Obama’s intelligence by implying that he needed to be “lectured” and could “learn at her knee.”  Thus, Al’s logic seems to conclude that the Arizona governor secretly believes that, because the president is black, he’s slow on the uptake and has a lot to learn.

The Right Reverend Al, who everyone knows is an expert at distinguishing truth from fiction, exposed Jan Brewer’s disingenuous nature in the following way:

So, Governor Brewer, when were you telling the truth?  When you just walked out of the meeting and told the press in front of the White House, with a smile on your face, how it was cordial and how the tone was very good, positive — or when you wrote a book saying it was condescending, and he was lecturing you?

Does anyone beside me remember a girl in large, green, plastic trash bag smeared with feces and a torso sporting upside-down racial slurs?

Respectfully pontificating about the Barack-Brewer brouhaha, Joe Madison also conveyed to Sharpton that the president was wise to walk away from a “fool.”  Moreover, Madison also said he believes that people like Newt, Jan, and Joe “You Lie” Wilson are merely those “who cannot stand the fact that this is an African-American who is now one of the most powerful individuals on the planet.  And there are those who cannot consciously and subconsciously handle it.”

Accusing a person of subconscious racism is almost as absurd as Sheila Jackson Lee sniffing out prejudice in cola-tinted Pepsi commercials and hurricanes that insist on being identified by names she thinks are too white.

Nevertheless, Governor Jan Brewer probably should have kept her composure during the encounter and perhaps described the incident in a way that did not include the word “threatened” — a loaded word which could be easily misconstrued.  Yet one has to wonder if it would have even mattered to Sharpton and company — because regardless of the circumstances, every time a conservative opens his/her mouth, derogatory racial code is all they seem to hear.

Thus, I’m sure Sheila Jackson Lee would agree with Reverend Al when he says, “They brought race in.  They put a race deck on the table.  If you pull a card, it’s a race card because they set the deck.”  No, it’s Sharpton who put the race deck on the table, because in Al’s world, it’s all racist — the cards, the deck, and the table.

Barack Obama ‘Acting Stupidly’

Originally posted at American Thinker blog

Without saying anything, Barack Obama’s silence speaks louder than all his empty words. The President who likes to define himself as a champion of racial equality and promoter of civility has thus far stood by in silence as liberals attempt to lower the stature of Herman Cain by portraying him as a conservative version of Stepin Fetchit.

By failing to address the prejudicial remarks directed at Herman Cain, the President of the United States is revealing a side of himself that reeks of a form of discriminatory selectiveness that should further discredit his claim to be the purveyor of civility and racial justice.

Who can forget the President’s response to the supposed prejudice leveled against Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates? Without the benefit of all the information surrounding the incident, Barack Obama rushed before the cameras to publicly condemn Cambridge, Massachusetts police officer Joseph Crowley and insinuated that, due to the color of his skin, Gates was the target of racial profiling and victimized by ‘stupidity’ on the part of law enforcement.

Recently the President spoke at the dedication of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.  It was there that he described Dr. King as “a black preacher with no official rank or title who somehow gave voice to our deepest dreams and our most lasting ideals, a man who stirred our conscience and thereby helped make our union more perfect.”

Yet, while Herman Cain, a man who fits a similar description, is whacked by MSNBC analyst Karen Finney with a verbal billy club and drenched with a fire hose of mean-spirited rhetoric that described him as merely a “Black man who knows his place” – Barack Obama has remained silent.

Where is the President’s usual predictable indignation?  Why no public correction or call for mutual respect?

At the Martin Luther King Memorial dedication, in an attempt to portray himself as a great black leader, Obama didn’t hesitate to put a self-referential spin on the narrative of Dr. King’s life, saying: “Even after rising to prominence, even after winning the Nobel Peace Prize, Dr. King was vilified by many, denounced as a rabble rouser and an agitator, a communist and a radical.”

Barack Obama had the temerity to place himself on the same level as Martin Luther King Jr. and yet, soon after, he stood by while left-wing pundits with zero content of character made racially humiliating comments about Herman Cain that were based solely on the color of his skin.

Thus far, Obama hasn’t said a word.  He has neither corrected, condemned, nor cited mentor Saul Alinsky, whom he quoted at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial dedication when he said, “We can’t be discouraged by what is. We’ve got to keep pushing for what ought to be.”

Maybe the President also believes that if a black American such as Herman Cain is a conservative,  he should know his place and that, especially in politics, they are nothing more than a stereotype, a caricature.

When not diminishing the memory of Dr. King by pretending to be much like him, Barack spends some of his off time making the rounds collecting campaign contributions in Hollywood.  In the meantime, liberal comedian David Letterman is on a mission to replace GW Bush with Herman Cain as the newest late-night-created Republican stammering idiot.

If any of the Letterman “Top Ten Signs Herman Cain’s Campaign is in Trouble” were applied to Barack Obama, the left would be picketing the Ed Sullivan Theatre and demanding an Imus-style resignation.  If the butt of Dave’s jokes had been named Henry (as in Professor Henry Gates), Obama would never have stood for Letterman implying that Henry was “less fun-crazy and more crazy-crazy.”

It doesn’t end there either.  In the name of fairness and economic equity the President, who insulted Tea Party activists by referring to them as racists and by using the vulgar sexual slang term “tea baggers” to describe American citizens, has yet to condemn the behavior taking place within the ‘Occupy’ movement.

So far, Obama has not disassociated himself from a protest infiltrated by prostitution, public masturbation, filth, violence, and people fighting over money, blankets and food, nor has he called for civility from a nationwide movement presently populated by ingrates that scream police brutality after defecating on the bumpers of squad cars.

Which brings us back to Obama’s disingenuous attempt to convince people that he possesses a measure of righteousness that sets him apart from mere mortals.

When it benefited him politically and he wanted to paint the right as impolite, he hosted a civility conference in Tucson Arizona, quoted Scripture, and called for a measure of tolerance he demands for himself but is unwilling to extend to anyone else.

If Hollywood liberals promise to put cash in Obama’s 2012 campaign coffers, he casually overlooks demeaning comments directed toward Herman Cain by asinine comedians because what would otherwise be viewed as racially-tinged humor may instead help advance his cause.

If a group of deadbeat derelicts squat in public parks and proceed to behave like savages, if the signs they carry support “sharing the wealth” and condemn the wealthy, and in time for the next election hold the promise of swaying the general public toward liberal policies, then by saying nothing the President, America’s self-proclaimed purveyor of non-discrimination and equal rights, is condoning rape, racism, and barefaced anti-Semitism.

By exhibiting selective indignation and failing to address the negative racial remarks directed at potential presidential opponents, supporting the nationwide disgrace that is the ‘Occupy’ movement, and choosing to associate with liberal comedians who make Herman Cain the butt of racial jokes, President Barack Obama is proving he doesn’t understand the responsibilities of his role, or understand his place as a leader.

Señorita Sotomayor the Unwise Judge

ladyjustice32Pundits are discussing Barack Obama’s nominee for Supreme Court judge’s views on everything from race to policy. While all those things are important, no one has addressed Señorita Sonia Sotomayor’s qualification to sit as a judge on the highest court in the land should be based on wisdom.

Wisdom is defined as the ability to judge what is true, right or lasting. It is incorporated together with common sense and good judgment, neither of which Sonia Sotomayor has exhibited in the things she has blurted out of an uncontrolled mouth. The Bible says, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks,” (Luke 6:45). The Obama Administration is attempting to respond to the accusations of racism based on a statement Sotomayor made at a 2001 conference in Berkley, California where she said, “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.” The explanation by those speaking on her behalf is that she misspoke and that if given the opportunity she would restate what she said. Judges should be measured, thoughtful and introspective, not uncontrolled, impulsive and flippant when speaking about the law.

Sotomayor gave a lengthy discourse at the University of California Berkeley, School of Law. In that speech, the “Latina Judge” made more than one unwise misstatement. She referred to the “old-boy network.” She addressed America’s “…deeply confused image of itself that is in perpetual tension.” Not only did she separate people by race and gender but then divided Latino’s into subgroups like Mexican-Americans, Puerto Rican’s, Caribbean and Latin American’s. She spoke of herself not as American but rather a Puertoriquena and NewYorkrician, differentiating West Cost from East Coast. Men, women, African-American, White, Latino…her speech divvied up people groups in America stressing differences much more than similarities. She mentioned the tension of New York’s diversity calling it, “the melting pot and the salad bowl.

When King  Solomon of the Bible prayed he did not ask God for riches, fame or the legislative ability to “redistribute the wealth.” He did not implore the Lord to recognize his gender,  race, creed or color instead he petitioned the Lord for wisdom and wisdom was granted to him. His first concern was governing and judging in a way that would best benefit his people. He didn’t have an agenda or a predisposition, instead he recognized his own lack of wisdom and appealed to the Lord for insight saying, “…give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong…discernment in administering justice” ( 1 Kings 3:9-12).

Solomon’s wisdom was made evident through his wise rulings and through the things that he said when he opened his mouth. Sonia Sotomayor, may be saying things Barack Obama wants to hear but her words belie a lack of forethought and wisdom and Barack’s approval of those words reveal a lot about him.

Barack Obama sees Sonia Sotomayor as the ingredient the high court has been missing. Ideologically she fits the criteria of someone who is willing to raise her blindfold to peak beneath, loading up the scales of justice with, “mucho platos de arroz, gandules y pernil – rice, beans and pork” in an effort to address the racial inequalities that Obama hopes to equalize through judicial activism. Her ability to exhibit thoughtful wisdom is not the credential Obama seeks. Instead, his qualifications include a social agenda similar to his own, as well as an empathy toward minorities, the poor and women. Yet, nowhere in his affirmation of  Sotomayor, or her credentials, does he even mention wisdom.

Wisdom is knowing when to speak your mind and when to mind your speech” said Evangel, neither of which Ms. Sotomayor seems to practice. In fact, being aware that she is saying something she ought not and then failing to exercise  self-control and insight to keep quiet shows a tremendous character flaw. Now if Latina heritage or estrogen override intellectual acumen as a prerequisite to judging, Sonia seems to be qualified. Barack Obama seems more interested in making sure that Sonia Sotomayor, “…climb those marble stairs and start providing some justice” by ruling on the side of liberal policy than he does her ability to adjudicate with wise Solomon-like decision making.

A judge should be the embodiment of fairness, impartiality, common sense with a sage-like wisdom under girding all these qualities. Without wisdom as the foundation the others cannot bear the weight of difficult decisions and unpopular rulings. Sonia Sotomeyer, hasn’t just made one unwise statement, but many. She mocked the belief that policy is not made on the judicial level and scoffed at the premise that the letter of the law should be followed. These statements are more than unwise, they are dangerous.

Her speech at Berkeley outlined her belief that individual experiences and perceptions have impact on a judge’s legal decisions. She articulated her feeling and belief that while judges must transcend…

Personal sympathies and prejudices and aspire to achieve a greater degree of fairness and integrity based on the reason of the law…she wondered whether achieving that goal is possible in all or even in most cases. And wondered whether by ignoring our differences as women or men of color we do a disservice both to the law and society.

Yet, Obama has not addressed the lack of wisdom incorporated into a statement that exudes sexism and racism and judicial activism because this is the type of jurist he desires to see on the court. Someone who will bring a level of activism that he feels has been missing since the beginning. He said in July 2007 at a Planned Parenthood conference,

We need somebody who’s got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it’s like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it’s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay or disabled, or old. And that’s the criteria by which I’m going to be selecting my judges.

Quoting Professor Martha Minnow, Sotomayor shared that there can, “…never be a universal definition of wise.” That statement in itself incorporates the epitome of Sotomayor’s lack of wisdom. If Sonia Sotomayor does not recognize that judges must “administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and the rich. If she is not willing to judicially split a child in two to remain true to what is just, she may have the empathy Obama requires to remake the court and ultimately the nation but lacks the wisdom of Solomon, a follower of the original Framer.

Sonia Sotomayor has not proven herself  wiser than she is ideological and epitomizes the folly of  identity politics. Barack Obama appears to be willing to sacrifice the nation rather than return it to a place of wholeness in the arms of Lady Liberty by choosing instead non-activist judges who adhere to the original intent of the Constitution.

Sonia Sotomayer is a potential wielder of an unjust rapier. She is willing to forfeit Constitutional stability under a sword of liberalism and judicial activism. She has not proven herself judicious in an atmosphere where wisdom is a top priority and where the scales of justice require the guidance of God, not ideology.

Solomon’s wisdom has gone down in the annals of history as being the encapsulation of good judgment. His statements were measured and full of justice, When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.” (1 Kings 3: 28). Solomon’s poorly chosen words, if not guided by wisdom, would have cost the life of an innocent child and his reputation as a just and wise ruler.

Señorita Sotomayor’s poorly chosen words are an indication of her lack of wisdom and should make her ineligible to ascend those marble stairs.  Judge Sotomayor should not be rewarded with the opportunity to continue to mete out more misdirected, bigoted, racist justice at the cost of the life of our nation and the survival of all our freedoms.

Race Relation Re Deux

race-picture

Our country rightly honors great civil rights leader the Reverend Martin Luther King with a national holiday. We have also dedicated an entire month in our calendar year to commemorate and advance Black history. On November 4th of 2008 our nation, which is sixty-six percent Caucasian, elected a bi-racial President.

Disregarding the progress our nation has made in a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History month, the most inspirational and inspiring thing our first black Attorney General had to say to his audience was that, “Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards. It’s puzzling to me why the hope and change administration continues to attempt to stir up racial resentment in the citizenry of this country, while ignoring their own personal and career advantages. Holder’s drum beat is the same old race baiting banter that this election has proven, by its results, to be both tired and fallacious. It is true that there are “unresolved racial matters that need to be addressed”, but not the same ones our Attorney General is underscoring for political purposes and in order to secure a future voting bloc.

What politicians like Eric Holder fail to recognize is the mixed messages he sends out when he supports the policies of an administration that believes that one form of life has value and another doesn’t. To try to convince people that we’re lacking bravery in the area of race, just doesn’t hold up when your approbation is upon the destruction of the very people you are trying to gain respect for.

Eric Holder, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the whole left wing of their radical party can’t promote a certain philosophy for one group and then expect it to be dismissed for another. Once the value of life is diminished on any level, you give authorization to the American public, regardless of their race, to dismiss all human beings based on personal opinion, feeling and convenience at any given time, for any reason.

The same party that doesn’t want morals to be legislated by religious groups is the same one that supports abortion rights with such a religious fervor that it surpasses even a national, year-round revival meeting. Their battle hymn is, Keep your laws off my body. Liberals want God out of the public sector because they don’t want religion legislating what they feel is misplaced morality. Yet, they think racial harmony can be legislated through this same godless government by laws and edicts, which they utilize to advance a form of race relations that they hope, will benefit them on Election Day.

Liberals attempt to intimidate a nation through shame, self-reproach and racially based law to acknowledge the value and the fundamental worth of people who are different than we are in culture or color. This is based on what can only be defined as twisted sense of ethical relativism, which appears to be an obvious attempt to dispel distinct unseen remorse. In turn, liberals now become the arbitrators of a form of morality they themselves decry. They do this while at the same time encouraging the full scale slaughter of the unborn, which goes against the intrinsic human soul. Someone needs to tell them that love and respect for our brothers and sisters is not something that can be coerced on us by self-righteous politicians but comes naturally from within a pure heart regardless of what Eric Holder says.

Barack Obama’s party works hard to undermine the human worth of the unborn in the minds of the public in order to justify extreme policies. His stance diminishes the value of the life of the unborn, demeaning it to the status of a throwaway “Privacy right.” Liberals vehemently argue that individuals deserve the legal “right” to make a decision about whose life has value and whose does not. Yet, they remain blind to the possibility that they may be the ones contributing to racism by conveying a confusing, double bind message to the American public giving them undercover permission to consider a life as less than worth respecting.

Maybe Eric Holder, on behalf of his own people, should quit being a coward himself and stop advocating his own sense of morality through the advancement of racial resentment and address the following:

Blacks do, indeed, have much higher rates of abortions than whites or other minority groups. In 2000, while blacks made up 17 percent of live births, they made up more than twice that share of abortions (36 %). If those aborted children had been born, the number of blacks born would have been slightly over 50 percent greater than it was.

The comparison with whites and other minorities is striking. Whites made up 78 percent of live births, but only 57 percent of abortions. Non-black minorities had 7 percent of live births and 5 percent of abortions. If the aborted children had been born for either group, the percentage increase in the number of children born to these groups would have been less than that for blacks: 16 and 32 percent, respectively.

Data from 1973 indicate that black a woman’s share of abortions has consistently been at least twice their share of live births .

I don’t appreciate being lectured to by a representative who heads a department that is supposed to foster “justice” but supports FOCA, the most brutal form of abortion policy and the most liberal of guiding principles for a women’s right to choose. As far as I’m concerned, Holder’s support of FOCA takes away his credibility to criticize me about his conjecture that I’m not brave enough when it comes to the issue of race. If the Attorney General wants to lead the American people in the area of race relations he should start by meting out justice against a procedure that is reeking carnage upon his own people, which would exhibit on his part the bravery he thinks we lack.

Race-baiting language is a false form of secular religiosity and Holder‘s homily is misdirected and should be addressed toward the supporters of liberal abortion issues not on the citizens of this nation that respect human life, regardless of race, creed or color. We just came to the end of an administration overseen by a President who supported the “right-to-life” for the unborn and who quietly gave 4 billion dollars in aid to Africa. Bush’s generosity toward the African continent and its people goes unnoticed and unappreciated by liberals who are self-righteously focused on trying to convince us that we “… have a special responsibility to advance racial understanding.” Without fanfare and without the need for accolades or humanitarian awards Bush increased direct development and charitable aid to Africa to more than $4 billion a year from $1.4 billion in 2001, according to the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. And four African nations — Sudan, Ethiopia,  Egypt and Uganda — rank among the world’s top 10 recipients in aid from the United States.”

When the newly appointed champion of justice Attorney General Eric Holder conveys his concern that, “Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion … average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race,” maybe he should be encouraged by us to discuss the fact that for every 1,000 black babies born, there are 472 unborn black babies aborted. How about initiating a discussion like that Mr. Holder?

Attorney General Holder is the one that needs to be reminded by all thoughtful, caring human beings that as part of an administration that is dead set on “…changing the world from what it is to what they believe it should be, that millions of American’s judge the biggest act of cowardice in the area of race is being perpetrated upon the African American unborn. Maybe he should attempt to address the vicious policies enthusiastically and passionately supported by himself, his party and the first African American President and instead of continuing to point fingers maybe he should take the time to look in the mirror.
