That’s why, amid all the talk of student marches and nonviolent town hall attendees threatening to burn alive representatives of the NRA, Barack just could no longer contain his glee.  In fact, feeling all feisty and exhilarated by the enthusiasm, the former president took a break from organizing the #MENEXT social media underground movement and cryptically spoke on behalf of snatching the guns out of the hands of bitter clingers.

get link Hearkening back to his time furthering Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals tried-and-true philosophy, Obama resurrected words related to the Lucifer-loving socialist’s vision concerning “the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be.”

Byronic and the dark Parnell scratch their gringo eyes or crawl furiously. After the shooting, Obama resurfaced on Twitter and seized upon an opportunity to further the progressive agenda the only way he knows how, which is to community-organize the youth.  Barack Obama had this to say about the chaos surrounding the gun debate in America:

Barack is not alone.  Michelle debuted on the world stage using the “world as it should be” language in her speech at the 2008 DNC Convention.  Over the years, the former first lady continued using similar references, especially during college commencement speeches.

Bill Ayers, Obama’s “Weather Underground Chicago flag-stomping buddy, quoted Alinsky in a debate with Dinesh D’Souza at Dartmouth in 2014.  During the discussion, Ayers pontificated that we are “standing right next to the world as such, a world that could be or a world that should be and committing ourselves to work toward that better world.”

Then there’s Barack, who even used the “world as it should be” adage while lecturing Hebrew college students in March of 2013.  In Jerusalem, Obama paraphrased from the Alinsky Bible when he said Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”

And so, after being out of office for more than a year, Obama has reared his activist head to goad the youth to “get in faces” and push for a change to a document Obama once admitted he felt was a “charter” that bestows “negative liberties.”  After all, having sown into the gullible, via liberal education, who better than Barack Obama to cash in on that investment by convincing dumbed down youngsters, scared of being shot, that they alone “have helped lead our great movements”?

Apparently, Obama chose to speak out now because, according to his tweet, he’s “inspired.”

The former president wrote, “How inspiring to see it again in so many smart, fearless students standing up for their right to be safe.”  Sorry, but sentiments like that are a bit disingenuous coming from a politician who denied the “right to be safe” to 8 million babies aborted during the eight years he was in office.

After patronizing “smart, fearless” students who read off scripts at a CNN town hall, bombastic Barack exposed his Alinsky roots when he applauded “marching and organizing [to] … remake the world as it should be.”  This means the world the way Saul Alinsky saw it, the way Barack Obama sees it, and the way the progressive gun-grabbing, Second Amendment-hating left sees it.

The Hopi elder-quoting agitator, who was referring to himself when he said, “We are the one’s we’ve been waiting for,” proceeded to stroke the egos of adolescent activists, tweeting, “We’ve been waiting for you.”  Then he wrote, “And we’ve got your backs,” which are the words Michelle used during the 2012 DNC convention and what she told Jason Collins when she congratulated him for being the first openly gay NBA player on Twitter.

And so, from the bunker where he plots his next move, Barack Obama must recognize the advantages of using social media to convey directives to those he hopes will continue “fundamentally transforming” the “world as it is” into the world his mentor Saul Alinsky felt it should be.

Are Liberals Liable for Americans Dying?

Glock-Constitution-998x666Originally posted at American Thinker

Recently, Bernie Sanders blamed Donald Trump for his #FeelTheBern/”Free College but no Free Speech” crew acting up at Trump rallies.  That sort of lack of accountability is par for the course, because liberals, who never take the time to evaluate themselves, usually expend tons of energy pointing the finger of accusation at those less guilty.

A perfect example of that practice involves a Democrat in Congress who wants to overturn the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a bill the 109th Congress passed in 2005 that was instituted to protect the gun industry from frivolous lawsuits.

In hopes of reversing gun industry protections, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) proposed H.R. 4399, the Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act.  To build support on Capitol Hill for the legislation, Schiffteamed up with Connecticut Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal, who proposed repealing the 2005 bill.

The bottom line is that, besides demonizing the gun industry, liberals want to make firearm manufacturers, sellers, and trade associations answerable to anyone and everyone considered a victim of gun-related violence.

Schiff, who supports immunity for illegals, argues that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act is unfair because, when it was approved,  “Congress passed a unique form of immunity for only one industry – and that is the gun industry.”

Schiff rationalizes that line of thinking in the following way:

If you’re a carmaker and your airbags kill someone, you’re potentially liable. If you’re a pharmaceutical company and sell faulty drugs, you can be held liable. If you’re a liquor store and sell alcohol to minors, you can be held liable.

“Why should it be any different for gun manufacturers?” he asked.

Here’s why: if a madman purposely drives a car into a crowd and kills three people, should the car manufacturer be held liable?  If an individual accidently poisons himself or herself with a prescription drug cocktail, should the pharmaceutical company be held liable?  How about if a tanked-up drunk smacks a bottle of vodka over someone’s head in a bar brawl?  Should the liquor company be held liable?

Of course not!

But logic has little impact on liberals, who believe that both gun manufacturers and dealers should be prosecuted if a weapon they made or sold causes someone harm.  Why not hold liable the manufacturer of the belt Robin Williams used to hang himself?

According to Schiff, H.R. 4399 is needed because it targets gun dealers who sell firearms to “straw purchasers,” the middlemen who mediate between dealers and criminals.  Sharing his “who needs that many” liberal philosophy, Schiff explains, “There are straw purchasers who will buy dozens of the same gun. It’s quite clear they’re not buying those guns for personal use. Who needs that many of the same gun?”

“If [gun manufacturers and dealers] are no longer immune,” Schiff added, “they’ll be more careful who they sell to.”

Wow!  If  “straw purchases” are the concern, is Schiff also planning to pursue litigation against Eric Holder and Barack Obama, the kingpins of the “Fast and Furious” gun-walking scheme?  Will the Obama administration finally answerfor the hundreds of deaths, including that of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and ICE agent Jaime Zapata, both killed with guns the president put into the hands of Mexican cartels?

This brings the discussion back around to liberals refusing to recognize how the reasoning they use to justify what they oppose is much more suitable if applied to things they support.

For example, to justify a weak argument, Schiff cited car manufacturers being liable for faulty airbags but didn’t mention the countless numbers of dead Americans who, besides being murdered, or infected with a third-world disease, have died in car crashes where illegal immigrants have been driving under the influence of alcohol or driving illegally.

In response to a congressional inquiry, Jessica M. Vaughan, the director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), recently submitted the following findings:

The criminal aliens released by ICE [since 2010] – who had already been convicted of thousands of crimes — are responsible for a significant crime spree in American communities, including 124 new homicides. Inexplicably, ICE is choosing to release some criminal aliens multiple times.

In their own defense, ICE claim that 75% of those illegal criminals were released because of a court order, or because their country of origin refused to accept them back.

So in other words, while the left was busy trying to rout the Second Amendment, illegal immigrant criminals, released from jail with the approval of the Obama administration, have been killing and injuring innocent people.

So here’s a question: why do denouncers of the gun industry mandate Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence but not Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Illegal Immigrants?

The same politicians who aim and shoot irresponsible policy right through the heart of America have largely ignored the topic of  the five times deportedillegal felon who killed 32-year-old Kate Steinle in the liberal-approved sanctuary city of San Francisco.

Politicians like Schiff; Blumenthal; and, first and foremost, Barack Obama like to do battle over gun rights, but then, when an undocumented loose cannon like Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez murders an American with a stolen gun in broad daylight, they barely notice.

If Democrats want to punish the gun industry for making or selling a gun that causes injury or death, those same lawmakers should also be willing to accept responsibility when an undocumented immigrant they wanted set free takes a life.

That’s why zero weight should be given to Adam Schiff’s hypocritical bill. In its place, as recompense for each and every life destroyed by an illegal immigrant, Americans should demand a law that holds lax open-border politicians personally accountable.

Barack Obama’s ‘Broad Brush’ U.N. Speech

Again, Barack Obama graced the United Nations podium with his presence. In a speech long on rhetoric and short on reality, the president shared with the General Assembly his view of the world. The only thing missing was Yusuf Islam, aka Cat Stevens, softly accompanying Obama with an updated version of “Peace Train.”

Frankly, when Obama cites “the prospect of war between major powers reduced … Hundreds of millions of human beings … freed from the prison of poverty, and the world economy strengthening,” it’s hard to tell what planet he came from.

Apparently Barry hasn’t noticed, but World War III is geared up, and pasting a smiley face on severed heads isn’t going to change that. Then there’s China. Obama conveniently forgot to mention that if China is taken out of the equation, his rosy economic picture changes markedly.

Nevertheless, thanks to Common Core, ObamaCare, and “Hope and Change,” the president said he reminds American youth that, for those who manage to make it out of the womb alive, this is the “best time in history to be born.”

“And yet,” the president said, “there is a pervasive unease in our world.”

For Obama, that “pervasive unease” probably emanates from Ebola, Russians arming Ukrainians instead of the Syrian separatists, and ISIL ruining everyone’s appetite with kitchen-knife decapitations.

Obama’s favorite Saul Alinsky reference to “the world [as] it should be” even reared its ugly head. This time it was “we choose to work for the world as it should be, as our children deserve it to be.”

It sounded as though Barack blamed the atrocity of well-to-do jihadists butchering live human beings on the civilized world not “confront[ing] forcefully enough the intolerance, sectarianism, and hopelessness that feeds violent extremism in too many parts of the globe.”

Then Obama segued into a lecture on the benefits of “cooperation” over “conquest,” the deprecation of modern weaponry, and how the “cause of empire leads to the graveyard.”

From there it was on to chastising Russia for pouring “arms into Eastern Ukraine [and] fueling violent separatists,” which is what Obama does in Muslim countries every chance he gets.

The president criticizing a “world in which one nation’s borders can be redrawn by another” sounded like he mixed up Mexico with Russia. Either way, throughout the speech, he made it clear that if Putin does what Obama demands, America will gladly work with Russia.

Mentioning the futility of the belief that “might makes right,” Obama said that he believes that “right makes might,” which is a catchy slogan sure to electrify both Vladimir Putin and ISIL.

Moving right along, and notwithstanding his approval of the IRS bullying the little guy, Obama went on to mention that “bigger nations should not be able to bully smaller ones.” And unless freedom entails owning a gun or choosing one’s own doctor, the president said he supports nations and peoples being free to make their own decisions.

What followed was “we are the world” globalist crazy talk. Obama spoke of solving “problems together … mutual interests and … respect.” One small problem: ISIS has no mutual interests with the U.S. And while he’s disconnecting heads from shoulders, the last thing on Jihadi John’s mind is respect.

Then, despite 200,000 people from Ebola-stricken nations holding visas to travel to the U.S., the president, while still refusing to close the southern border, swore that America would help curtail the spread of Ebola.

Next it was Iran and how America “is pursuing a diplomatic resolution” – to a nuclear buildup by a genocidal nation unwavering in its desire to wipe Israel off the map.

After promising to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030 and save the planet for generations to come, Muslim apologist Barack Hussein Obama set out to once again remediate Islam in the eyes of a wary world.

It started with a “Terror is not a new weapon,” quote from John F. Kennedy. Then, alluding to ISIL, the president said that a “lethal and ideological brand of terrorists … have perverted one of the world’s great religions.” To give credibility to that view, Obama tied Islam to other religions, saying “Christianity endured centuries of vicious sectarian conflict.”

With words he uttered in front of the Turkish Parliament in 2009, Obama rejected “a clash of civilizations,” and assured the Muslim world, a large portion of which is at war or supports the war with America, that the “United States is not and never will be at war with Islam.”

That statement makes one wonder why Barack Obama continues to lump all gun owners together and neglected to distinguish the difference between the NRA and Jared Loughner at the Tucson Memorial.

After blowing smoke up Islam’s derrière, which included quoting a controversial sheikh, the president did what he does best – apologized for America.

First Obama promised that America wouldn’t “occupy lands” and vowed that “our entire foreign policy will not be based on ‘reacting to terrorism’.” Then he shared that “America has plenty of problems within its own borders,” most of which have ironically been exacerbated by the guy doing the apologizing.

Subsequently, the first African-American president brought up Ferguson, Missouri, and America’s racial and ethnic tensions. Dissing the founding fathers, Barack admitted that “America is a country that has steadily worked … to bridge the divides that existed at the founding of this nation. America is not the same as it was 100 … 50 years … or even a decade ago.”

Not to mention six years ago.

Lawless, non-transparent, unaccountable Barack Obama, whose administration censors the White House press pool, later said that in America “we hold our leaders accountable … insist on a free press and independent judiciary … we address our differences in the open space of democracy – with respect for the rule of law.”

Missing an opportunity to mention Muslim oppression of women or to coerce Ebola-stricken West Africa, in return for help with Ebola, to rethink its harsh stance on homosexuality, Obama ended the speech with his politically correct “no matter who you are, or who you love” line.

Besides taunting Russia, tackling Ebola, and offering his usual platitudes, by and large what stood out in this U.N. speech was Barack Obama, who reportedly just warned against “painting Islam with a broad brush,” making intricate distinctions within Islam while painting everything else with a broad brush.
