The Border Busting Right to Citizenship

http://spotliteme.com/?eq=buy-cialis-with-prescription&ee8=a6 Former Secretary of Homeland Security and Border Czar, Janet Napolitanois on her way to Sochi with Billie Jean King.

http://redapplewellness.net/?pharm=Cheap-Topamax-Online&476=9e Supposedly Janet has earned the right to lead a group of American delegates to Russia to irritate Vladimir Putin, who would rather people of her purported ilk skip the Winter Games altogether.

follow site And while Ms. Napolitano jets off to the Olympic games, the man who replaced Ms. Napolitano, Jeh Johnson, is wasting no time ‘representing’ yet another group.

http://otterpaintball.com/?led=Buy-Doxycycline-Online&5b5=42 Seems Ms. Napolitano’s replacement hasn’t heard about Vladislav Miftakhov, the Russian national attending Penn State who was found in Pennsylvania with WMD.

go site Instead, while speaking at the United States Conference of Mayors, Johnson, the person who’s supposed to be watching out for the ‘homeland’s security,’ said that he believed the lowball figure of 11 million of Miftakho’s illegal friends, none of whom he knows anything about, have “earned the right to be citizens.”

http://viewtific.com/?cheap=Zithromax-Price-Mercury-Drug&6f9=96 In one of his first public speeches since being confirmed in December, Jeh told the 270+ mayors that enforcing immigration law was one of the main missions of DHS.

Buy Levitra Canada Online According to Johnson:

http://seniorenzentrum-diedorf.com/?yah=Brand-Amoxil-Us&4e0=25 “The five core missions of the Department of Homeland Security are guarding against terrorism, securing our borders, enforcing our nation’s immigration laws, safeguarding cyberspace and critical infrastructure in partnership with the private sector, and supporting emergency preparedness and response efforts at every level.”

Johnson is clearly confused, because “guarding against terrorism, securing our borders, enforcing our nation’s immigration laws” does not jibe on any level with an earned path to citizenship for those currently residing in this country illegally and the DHS beckoning lawbreakers to “come out of the shadows.”

Johnson also said:

It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans to offer the opportunity to those who want to be citizens, who’ve earned the right to be citizens, who are present in this country–many of whom came here as children–to have the opportunity that we all have to try to become American citizens.

Concluding his bizarre and dangerous remarks, Secretary Johnson called for “comprehensive, common sense, immigration reform.”

And even though the illegals that Jeh feels earn citizenship are streaming over the border in droves every day, he actually had the nerve to tout increased border security.

Maybe, on a break from giving speeches to likeminded socialist types like newly-elected Bill ‘National Urban Consensus’ de Blasio, the Secretary of DHS should read the US Border Control Mission Statement.

Isn’t Johnson aware of the dangers posed by illegal aliens hiding in the shadows who have infiltrated our cities and who daily threaten the wellbeing of our people?  Wouldn’t it be logical to assume that if an illegal immigrant feels free to disregard US immigration law, then all US laws might be something they’d disrespect?

Then again, these are the same people who will use one insane shooter to justify eliminating the Second Amendment. And the same crowd who continue to push amnesty while ignoring a Russian national riding around in Pennsylvania with a suitcase bomb.

Moreover, how is it that the figure of 11 million illegals, cited by liberals, has remained static for six years when 4,000 to 10,000 people a day are sneaking across the border?  Correct me if I’m wrong, but that ups the illegal immigrant tally to anywhere between nine and 22 million additional individuals earning the ‘right to citizenship’ by border-busting.

How illegal entry into a sovereign nation is now considered “earning the right” to be an American citizen proves the perversion and thick-headedness of the  Obama administration. Especially considering those who work hard to obey the law and earn an honest living are being punished economically for what used to be viewed as good citizenship.

In addition, the penalty imposed by those who are supposed to be protecting Americans includes having 11+ million people who broke the law foisted upon our nation.

Then, to add insult to injury, the US government is justifying the confiscation of hard-earned wages through higher taxes to support the needs of wrongdoers whom liberals view as having “earned the right to citizenship.”

Sexy Snails and Other Federally Funded Priorities

imageIn order to find a way to reopen White House tours, somebody should really be appointed the job of figuring out where to cut corners.  Clearly, the $900K that was spent on the president’s weekend golfing expedition with Tiger Woods in Florida, at the rate of $74,000 per week, could have kept the doors open to schoolchildren for the remainder of the school year.

If the feds want to squeeze another couple of months’ worth of tours out of the tight budget, maybe the National Science Foundation can rescind its $876,752 grant to the University of Iowa to study the sex lives of New Zealand mud snails.  During this administration at least, finding out “why any organism has sex,” apparently takes priority over White House tours for students. But then again, isn’t Georgetown University sexpert Sandra Fluke someone who should be able to answer that question without it costing taxpayers a million dollars?

Nonetheless, the purpose of the snail sex study is to see if it’s better for snails to “reproduce sexually or asexually.”  Seems snails do both, which could offer hope for women who desire to have children but just haven’t met that special someone just yet.

Seizing Hairdryers and Emancipating Aliens

Immigrants_Released_03b10-300x247Next time you’re in a large crowd or eating a powdered cruller at Dunkin Donuts, try not to think about the fact that there are people coming over the border or arriving through customs from Asia with drug-resistant tuberculosis. Moreover, when you’re at the mall and you see a nervous-looking Middle Eastern-type guy pacing around with a backpack, shoo it away from your mind and don’t let anything stand between you and that hot Aunt Annie’s pretzel you’ve had a hankering for.

Furthermore, when you realize that the President can’t figure out that there’s a big difference between releasing 1,000 immigrants a week for three weeks versus releasing a “few hundred” in a couple of weeks, don’t let that stop you from demonstrating “The Harlem Shake” on Face Time.

The concern here isn’t “the high prevalence of infectious diseases and increasing movement of people across the borders.” No, what takes precedence over the infiltration of foreign contagions is our government making sure the produce guy handling the tomatoes in the supermarket is free to pass along a  deadly super bug without fear of reprisal or deportation.

‘Dangerous Hairdryers’ and Self-protective Cutting Shears

shootervid3-620x345-220x220Originally posted at American Thinker blog

Last year, with the authorization of Attorney General Eric Holder and the U.S. Department of Justice, after thousands of “Fast and Furious” assault rifles wreaked mayhem on both the U.S. border and inside Mexico, the Obama administration commissioned Janet ‘Big Sis’ Napolitano to do whatever was necessary to help save American lives.

Soon thereafter, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, overseen by Secretary Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security, seized 13,000 “unsafe hair dryers” from blowing their way across the border.

Apparently, Mexican drug cartels entering the U.S. to buy illegal guns and Al Qaeda operatives infiltrating American soil are not the problem.  But hairdryers that “fail to have adequate immersion protection” — now that is a huge problem.

Fully aware that nervous citizens were grappling with hairdryer immersion concerns, the DHS reassured the public that “The potentially dangerous hair dryers were identified through a nationwide targeting operation by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Import Safety Commercial Targeting and Analysis Center (CTAC).”

Well-coifed Americans breathed a collective sigh of relief. Thankfully, the government made sure that if one should decide to dry their hair in the bathtub, thanks to the efforts of attentive border agents there’s a good chance they won’t be electrocuted.

Now, a year later, after pulling the plug on a successful “dangerous hairdryer” crusade, Ms. Napolitano and company have embarked on a new venture: offering advice on how to stay alive if one is fortunate enough to have a job and a demented gunslinger decides to vent his anger in the workplace.

In an effort to save lives, the Department of Homeland Security, an agency that still hasn’t confiscated all the guns that were purposely walked across the border into Mexico, posted a government-produced video entitled “Options for Consideration Active Shooter Training Video.”

Excuse me, but that title just cries out for a DHS-style acronym, and is almost as ridiculous as the infamous DHS “man caused disaster” definition that the organization came up with for terrorism.

When overseeing the content of the video, Big Sis must have felt it was necessary for the narrator to explain to grown adults that an “active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people inside an occupied structure or outside in a populated area.”  What Janet forgot to mention was that “active shooters” attempt to kill people with guns.

Naturally, because the government objects to honest Americans citizens being armed and able to defend themselves, the DHS was forced to get creative when suggesting lifesaving options that should have also included: When making a business call, instead of looking for the donuts and coffee or scoping out the location of the bathroom, be on the lookout for an escape route and never sit with your back to the door.

On behalf of Barack Obama’s December 2012 “Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience” initiative, the deliberate tone of the narrator also suggests intuitive things like scurrying under a desk or conference room table; shutting off lights; closing blinds; trying not to sneeze or cough; and cell phone deactivation. The video also suggests locking and/or barricading oneself in an office; running for the stairwell; stepping over dead coworkers; and putting your hands in the air with fingers spread apart while passing the SWAT team on the way out of the building under siege.

According to the video, for lack of a legal firearm or a place to hide, victims have a better chance of survival if they attempt to “overpower the shooter with whatever means are available.”

DHS forgot to mention that Office Retaliation Options, or OROs, could also include even more creative defensive measures such as: Jamming chewing gum into the barrel of the gun; stapling the shooter’s feet to the floor; bludgeoning the aggressor with a fire extinguisher; asphyxiating the assailant with a baseball-size wad of Post-Its; using a letter opener as a stabbing implement; or better yet, slicing an assailant to ribbons with the pair of scissors depicted in the video being pulled from a disorganized desk drawer by a quick-thinking office worker under fire.

A word of caution for jujutsu experts defending themselves for the first time with office-supply-quality cutting shears: Just make sure the blades are not in the gunman’s jugular with your hand still on the handles.  Why? Because the video advises that when the cops arrive those wielding sharp objects must “Put down any items [and] immediately raise [their] hands,” lest they survive the gunman but lose their lives to an overenthusiastic first responder.

In the end, between Ms. Napolitano’s successful “dangerous hairdryer” endeavor last year and the lifesaving instructions for using scissors against an angry, gun-wielding former coworker on a rampage this year, the Department of Homeland Security’s information campaign is destined to save lives.

In the meantime, in the near future a taxpayer-funded “Options for Consideration Active Shooter Training Video Part. II” may be warranted to address a situation where a gunman attacks, oh, let’s say a beauty parlor. In that case, someone will need to provide step-by-step self-defense “options” for a hair stylist with only a “dangerous hairdryer” handy and no assault scissors within reach.

Are Somali Pirates Voting in Ohio?

Originally posted on American Thinker blog

Finally, the billy club-toting New Black Panther Party may have some backup in ensuring that Barack Obama wins a second term.  Why? Because it looks like a few Somali pirates may have managed to sneak past Janet Napolitano and are now in Ohio to assist the Democrats in moving America “Forward.”

Allegedly, volunteer poll workers in the Buckeye state reported seeing “van loads of Ohio residents born in Somalia” being ferried in to vote early.  Once at the polls, in lieu of Republican translators and UN poll watchers, the Democrats themselves were providing Somali/Arabic translation.  Seems the Obama campaign is getting out the vote by teaching Somali immigrants the ins and outs of the voting process.

Witnesses at the Columbus, Ohio Morse Road polling center reported Somalis arriving in buses, being handed a slate card, and being told by helpful Democrats to vote “brown,” for Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), all the way down the card.

On Ohio’s website, the Somali Community Association lists the following facts: 45,000 Somalis live in Ohio; 99.9 percent are Muslim; 40 percent have become U.S. citizens; and 57 percent are eligible to become U.S. citizens, emphasis on the “eligible” part.

Ohio law does require voters to provide proof of citizenship by presenting a utility bill or writing down a Social Security or driver’s license number and then checking a box. However, other than those three items, there is no other way to verify that the person doing the voting is a bona fide citizen of the United States.  Moreover, most poll workers tend to just take voters at their word.

Matt McClellan, press secretary for Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, explained, “There is a process to challenge a voter’s eligibility.” One problem – “the point in time for a challenge to be brought ended mid October” – too late!   According to Mr. McClellan, up until mid October “a poll worker could challenge a voter if they had questions as to whether or not they were registered or eligible to vote.”  However, if Democrats choose to forego raising the eligibility issue with, let’s say, busloads of Somali voters, then any illegal Somali votes will still be counted on Election Day.

Nonetheless, being a global citizen and all, regardless of the ensuing crisis Barack Obama has consistently attempted to maintain a spirit of camaraderie with the Muslim world, and that world includes Somalia.

For example, just a few months after Barack Obama’s momentous inauguration, Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden commandeered the American merchant ship Maersk Alabama, taking Captain Richard Phillips hostage at gunpoint.  Yet, during that crisis, President Obama acted sort of like a blasé Democrat poll worker.

In the midst of the crisis, while meeting with beleaguered homeowners at the White House seeking help from Obama to refinance their mortgages, a reporter asked the President if he was concerned about the ongoing piracy situation.  Declining to comment publicly, Obama admonished reporters when he said, “Guys, we’re talking about housing right now.”

Ultimately, Phillips was rescued when U.S. Navy SEALs peeled off two shots from 75 feet away, killing two AK-47-toting thugs.

Then, a couple of years after the 2009 Somali pirate incident, four American Christian missionaries, peacefully sailing the world distributing Bibles, were hijacked and held hostage off the coast of Somalia and were later killed by their pirate captors.  That tragedy incited a firefight with U.S. Navy warships, which was one of many that followed.

Speaking of the U.S. Navy, in 1993 Navy SEALs were in Somalia for the Battle of Mogadishu. Seventy-three members of the U.S. military were wounded and 18 died.  That was when “Masked gunmen dragged slain soldiers through the streets of Somalia’s capital … then set the bodies on fire as jeering crowds threw rocks and kicked the dead after a fierce battle in a neighborhood loyal to Islamic insurgents.”

Who would have thought that almost 20 years later some of the Somalis who may have jeered as the American soldiers’ burnt and desecrated bodies were being dragged naked through the streets of Mogadishu could be among those voting in the swing state of Ohio?

And so it seems that with nary a whisper of apprehension concerning potential election fraud from the Obama White House, Ohio Democrats have decided to emulate Somali pirates and attempt to hijack the election.

Lacking only motorboats, loaded AK-47’s and colorful headscarves, Democrat poll pirates right there in Columbus, Ohio attempted to seize and take hostage a Mitt Romney campaign bus carrying Republicans arriving to vote. That’s right, at the same polling site where busloads of Somalis voted Brown all the way to the bottom of the card, when a Mitt Romney bus pulled up “30 Democrats who were outside handing out the slate cards rushed over to the bus… yelled … and swarmed around its door when anyone attempted to exit the bus.”

Just wait – in the end, if the race in Ohio remains this close and voter piracy is exposed, when asked to comment about droves of Somali immigrants being bussed in to vote, Barack Obama will likely say something very similar to what he said during another Somali crisis: “Guys, we’re talking about Big Bird right now.”

DHS Job Fair for Illegals

Originally posted at American Thinker Blog

America has a 9% unemployment rate, but the Department of Homeland Security, instead of hiring US citizens to assist in rounding up undocumented aliens and shipping them home, has chosen to authorize employing people who shouldn’t be here in the first place.

The Department of Homeland Security, headed up Janet Napolitano and in cooperation with the White House, has chosen to reward illegals with paychecks that could otherwise be going to Americans who are unemployed. According to Napolitano, DHS apparently sanctions and authorizes hiring foreigners who flout the law, citing “prosecutorial discretion” as the excuse.

What next?  Why not make exceptions for well-behaved child molesters to prove they’re rehabilitated by allowing them to work in day care centers?  Or how about, as a good faith expression of redemptive trust on the part of the federal government, giving car thieves part-time jobs at Cadillac dealerships?

At a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Janet Napolitano cited “agency leeway” as an excuse to allow illegals to work – another policy that underscores the absurdity that has defined this administration’s stand on immigration. Regardless of how family-minded, polite, or hard-working, illegal aliens remain lawbreaking interlopers who have zero regard for our country or its rule of law.

Nonetheless, how has the Obama administration chosen to address the pervasive problem of illegal immigration? By bestowing on iniquitous individuals the gift of free education, promised amnesty, taxpayer-funded entitlement programs, and jobs that the perpetually underemployed would be more than happy to fill.

At the hearing, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) probed Janet Napolitano with questions, hoping to get at the root of the lunacy.  Grassley asked the DHS secretary the following question: “According to the information from your department, some individuals who are given relief will obtain work authorizations. So people with no right to be in the country will be allowed to work here. Is that correct?”

Napolitano responded to Grassley’s question by citing a policy “allowing illegals to work,” which she claims has been in place since 1986.  Although the Secretary failed to name the legislation, it’s possible she was referring to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, a bill otherwise known as Simpson-Mazzoli Act.

The original intent of Simpson-Mazzoli was to “curtail the employment of illegal aliens and make employers responsible for verifying applicants’ eligibility to work in the US. Seasonal agricultural workers (who were in the country illegally) were offered amnesty, as were undocumented immigrants who had entered before Jan. 1, 1982 and maintained residence in America.”

The bill also increased border patrols and prompted “efficient adjudication of petitions and applications.” A pathway to citizenship was instituted by adjusting an illegal alien’s status to that of being “an alien lawfully admitted for temporary residence. One condition was an absence of a felony conviction and no more than two misdemeanors. After one year, the immigrant could apply for another adjustment of status to become ‘lawfully admitted for permanent residence.'”

The difference between 1986 and 2011 is that since then, the number of illegals residing in the United States has grown from 2 million to an unmanageable albeit conservative estimate of 12 million.

Moreover, 9-11 proved that there are those who have entered the nation illegally who come here for reasons other than picking apples as a ‘seasonal agricultural worker.’  Couple that with the abysmal unemployment picture for American citizens who remain desperate for work, and the federal government offering jobs to illegals, regardless of the excuse, borders on irrational.

So once again the nation is confronted with an administration and Department of Homeland Security that continue to be suspicious of ex-military personnel, pro-life activists, evangelical Christians, and Tea Party members, but who feel comfortable rewarding criminal interlopers who infiltrate the nation’s borders, some with malicious ill intent, with jobs that remain scarce for the law-abiding.

Maybe it’s just that Janet Napolitano is too busy hunting down right-wing extremists to find time to focus on enemies who come to America disguised as destitute migrant workers looking for a better life, or to acknowledge that Al-Qaeda and Al Shabaab operatives routinely slink across the border into the United States.

In the meantime, the Department of Homeland Security, together with Obama, rather than defend the native soil they swore to protect, are complicit in providing pathways for terrorists to be established in occupations whose ultimate payday includes doing the type of work by which unemployed Americans may be financially harmed today and fatally wounded tomorrow.

Headless in Houston

Originally posted at DC Caller

South of the Border, drug cartels and gangs are revisiting the ancient Mayan art of beheading. It is likely the recent uptick in Mexican beheadings is largely the work of Los Zetas, a brutal drug cartel, founded by “31 elite army counter-narcotics commandos who defected to work as enforcers for the Gulf Cartel.”  This particular cartel thrives on terrorizing, kidnapping, torturing, maiming and decapitating victims. The Zetas are so dedicated to the effort that in just four years 35,000 drug-related murders have taken place in Mexico, and many of the victims were found headless.

George W. Grayson, professor and expert on Mexican drug gangs, maintains:

While the beheadings and dismemberments are used to punish those who oppose or betray them, to establish turf, to terrorize the citizenry against testifying against them, and to press political leaders to collaborate, random killings also have become the gang’s trademark — used by the Zetas, to demonstrate that no one is beyond their reach, that they can kidnap, torture and kill anyone they choose.

In Mexico, no one is safe, be they men, women or children, young or old. Heads have been found severed from bodies and lined up on the street; arranged on car hoods; and even rolled like bowling balls onto dance floors. As a warning to anyone who dares defy the power or the plans of Mexico’s most powerful cartel, headless torsos are hung from bridges, buried in mass graves, and tossed like fertilizer bags into the backs of pickup trucks.

Contrary to the claims of the Obama administration, the violence is not contained outside the southern border. Seeping into the US are gunrunners, gang members, and drug cartels bringing with them the type of horrific murder and mayhem occurring just miles outside the borders of Texas, California and Arizona.

Yet despite random civilian shootings and ranchers being gunned down on private property, Obama Administration representative and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano continues to maintain that the border is presently “safer than ever.” Because of the administration’s apathetic attitude, Mexican cartels capable of ferocious military-style force are waging a war without opposition, fully aware that President Obama’s inaction aids their ability to gain access through US borders.

According to Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas), the “Gulf and the Sinaloa drug trafficking organizations – including, presumably, the Zetas Organization – could together muster an army of some 100,000 guns.”

Thus far the only thing standing in the way of paramilitary groups using those guns to fully infiltrate the American border is the DEA, ICE and US Border agents, and the relatively meager 1,200 National Guardsmen President Obama sent – under duress – as reinforcements.

In an effort to terrorize that American stronghold into submission, in a school 220 miles from the border a brazen message was sent to the “Gringo” DEA agents, warning: “We know where you are and we know who you are and where you go. We are going to chop off your (expletive) heads.”

Drug cartels that collect skulls in Mexico and wreak havoc armed with illegal guns from the United States are now emboldened enough to bully DEA agents and continue to target brave men like the late ICE agent Jamie Zapata and US Border agent Brian Terry.  Only this time, in an attempt to intimidate their foe, Los Zetas and company pledge to up the ante from shooting to beheading.

Threatening law enforcement, mutilating, killing, and dismembering the bodyguards of Mexican officials are common occurrences in Mexico. Also common is anonymously kidnapping random people off buses in Mexico, beheading them, and discarding mutilated bodies and heads along highways as a message to those who dare defy drug cartels like Los Zetas, “but it is rarer for them to threaten US law enforcement.”

As Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano reassures Americans about border safety, Los Zetas hone their machetes while harboring intentions to prove her wrong. Those who continue to buy the “safer than ever” line and believe such barbaric atrocities will never visit American cities are obviously unaware of what happened to Martin Alejandro Cota-Monroy, a man accused of stealing drugs who was found bludgeoned to death and beheaded in an apartment complex in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

Thus far, it has taken two dead agents murdered with American guns to reveal the utter recklessness of the Obama administration’s “Fast and Furious” fiasco. What remains to be seen is how many headless American torsos it will take to convince a president more concerned with placating illegals than protecting US citizens that what is happening on the border is an all-out war.

Motown Trumps the Border

The violence on the Mexico/US border is intensifying as gangs are murdering Americans and drug cartels are emboldened by a President who doesn’t consider the problem urgent enough to direct resources toward ensuring the safety of American citizens.  The reason being – there’s just not enough time in the day.

It seems that there are more pressing issues for Obama to attend to, such as honoring Black History Month by hosting a star-studded evening entitled Motown Comes to the White House, featuring music greats like Smokey Robinson, Sheryl Crow and John Legend.

Barack can’t possibly be expected to split his time between closed-door sessions similar to the one he had with Apple’s ailing Steve Jobs and Face Book creator Marc Zuckerberg and situations like innocent American missionary Nancy Shuman Davis being shot in the head, or federal agents and border patrol guards being gunned down in cold blood.

Homeland Security ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata and his partner Jaime Avila were driving from Mexico City to Monterrey, while Obama was busy “visiting a science class and giving a speech in the cafeteria” of Parkville Middle School in Baltimore.  Zapata and his colleague were assigned to the US Embassy and were ambushed and “forced off the road by 10 members of a Mexican drug cartel.”

Their “armored vehicle had diplomatic plates and the two agents identified themselves as diplomats.”  Unimpressed by their credentials, the gang shoved an AK-47 through a crack in the bulletproof armored vehicle and opened fire, after which federal agent Zapata was airlifted in a body bag to an American hospital.

In response to Zapata’s death, Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said: “This was an intentional ambush against two United States federal agents.  This tragic event is a game changer. The United States will not tolerate acts of violence against its citizens or law enforcement and I believe we must respond forcefully.”

Someone should inform the well-intentioned Congressman that there is just no time for forceful responses. Why?  Because while a surveillance video camera at Anzalduas International Bridge spotted “trucks packed with armed men crossing into the United States,” Obama was busy playing Choo-choo Charlie and making plans to spend $53 billion for a high speed railway.

Instead of addressing violent acts against American citizens on the border of the nation he leads, Obama spends time attending to the urgent issue of attacking Republican governors and calling on Democrat rabble-rousers to rain down political hell on anyone who dares to disagree with a pro-illegal immigrant or union-friendly agenda.  Community organizer Barack Obama has proven that if he cared enough to do so, he is more than capable of fortifying and deploying troops to a war zone.

Instead, drug smugglers pitching drugs across the border on rigged catapults takes low priority.  The President prefers to concentrate on things like one-on-one basketball, fêting communist dictators and music legends, and supping with social networking and iPad creators.

In all fairness, there are situations where safety does take precedence over trying to maintain a veil of secrecy around whether Obama dyes his hair or not.  Take, for instance, the decision to invest $2.9 million in tightening the security of NBA games.

The goal:  Ensuring b-balls swish as safely through iron-rimmed hoops as bags of drugs dropped by “ultra light planes” from Mexico onto the US side of the border.   As a matter of fact, basketball is such a high priority to the Obama administration Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano decided to expand her agency’s “If You See Something, Say Something” citizen action campaign to include security plans for all National Basketball Association (NBA) All Star games.

Since Obama is notorious for seeing something and doing nothing, maybe Napolitano’s “See something” and “Say something” policy only pertains if a person is attending a public sporting event.

If a person spots the body of a dead border patrol agent such as the late Robert Rosas or Brian Terry, does ‘see something/say something’ still apply?  If an unsuspecting individual trips over a human skull in the Arizona desert, is that also considered a ‘see-and-say’ scenario?

Either way, it is comforting to know that if US border patrol agents, after discovering suicide bomber books while “patrolling routes known for smuggling illegal immigrants and drugs, are ignored by the President of the United States,” at least hoops fans are ensured the full protection of the federal government while reading digitized scoreboards and drinking beer at basketball games.

Janet Napolitano maintains that “Every citizen plays a critical role in identifying and reporting suspicious activities and threats.”  Too bad that doesn’t include underground drug smuggling tunnels burrowed from Mexico into the US.

Truth is, border violence and mayhem are unsettling, but when planning White House parties what happens on the road from Mexico to Monterrey takes second place to pressing party security issues that tend to arise.  Somebody had to have the singular focus to ensure the safe transport of ten Mosaic Youth Theatre and Sphinx Organization students traveling from Detroit to the White House to meet Berry Gordy and Smokey “Tears of a Clown” Robinson.

For the sake of Obama’s gifted guests, and to protect the 50-year Legacy of Motown, thank God White House had a secure plan in place to ensure US federal agent Jaime Zapata was safely laid to rest well before Detroit descended on Washington DC for Motown Comes to the White House.

Regardless of what is going on at the border, the last thing Barack Obama needs is party-time being overshadowed by tragedy, or a PBS telecast interrupted by the disturbing image of a US federal agent’s flag-covered coffin in a funeral cortege making its way to a Brownsville, Texas cemetery.

Decorating Tijuana Bridges

Originally posted at American Thinker blog

While Americans deflate blowup Santa Clauses and remove Christmas decorations, according to the Baja California state attorney general in Tijuana, the drug cartels are decorating Mexican border bridges with bullet-riddled heads. One ingenious decorator hung a cranium “using a metallic ring and a nylon rope,” shot through with creatively placed “bullet wounds.”

The decapitated head was accompanied by a hostile message and was discovered a few hours after a thirty-ish woman was “found shot to death in another Tijuana neighborhood,” also accompanied by another drug cartel-style ominous note.

The gruesome sight was just miles from downtown San Diego, home of Edgar Jimenez, El Ponchis (“The Cloak”), the 14 year-old hit man who was arrested recently for busily removing “heads and genitalia” for “one of Mexico’s most powerful trafficking cartels.”

Over the past four years, more than “30,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence.”  Some corpses retained their heads, but others weren’t as lucky.  In fact, the day the ornamental head and the dead woman were found, Erasto Ortiz Valencia, Sonora state’s prison director, was shot to death outside his home 10 days after assuming the interim position.  In addition, the assistant police chief of Empalme was cut down by “gunmen who fired an assault rifle from an SUV.” Two boys ages 14 and 17 were shot to death with assault rifles and the bodies of four young men, killed with “guns and knives and….found blindfolded and their hands or feet tied,” were bound and dumped on a “main boulevard.”

But there is no need to fret.  Arizona residents worried about their necks can rest easy because DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano assures America that the border has never been safer.  The Mexico/US border is so secure that, despite headless bodies and random bloodshed, Barack Obama kicked back and extended his Hawaiian vacation to avail himself of multitudinous portions of artificially colored shaved ice and did so while the border conflict raged on.

Truth is, the Obama administration is wise not to worry; it was probably coincidental that on the same day the bridge was adorned with the bullet-riddled head, Mexican police also found an “unfinished tunnel under a house in the city of Nogales, across from Nogales, Arizona.”  While the tunnel does appear nefarious, it is possible Obama might interpret the hidden access into the US as merely an attempt for well-meaning parents to make their way to an Arizona ice cream parlor to purchase a cone for a kid without being harassed or troubled for identification.

According to the Mexican “Army’s 45th Military Zone command…the tunnel was dug about 5 feet (1.5 meters) beneath the surface and stretched almost 100 feet (30 meters), apparently just far enough to reach US territory.”  If ice cream wasn’t the driving incentive, Arizona residents can breathe a sigh of relief because luckily, the bridge beheading distracted workers mid-project, causing excavators to abandon the effort before it was complete.

No one knows for sure who’s to blame for the uptick in carnage, because “one of Mexico’s biggest and most brutal drug gangs” recently announced a “ceasefire” for the month of January.  A truce could mean that for a season La Familia has decided to forgo contributing to the mountains of dead bodies.

Nevertheless, assault rifles aside and in an effort to retain respectability, Mexico’s “most flamboyant” cartel obviously remains devoted to the act of adorning Tijuana bridges with an eye-catching array of severed heads, in an effort to reaffirm for doubters who actually wields the power over the US/Mexico border.

The untimely and unnecessary death of Agent Terry

Taking a page from the drug cartels that fearlessly take on Mexican Marines in gun battles, bandits north of the border between Arizona and Mexico felt invincible enough to challenge and kill a US border agent.

Agent Brian A. Terry was “shot dead after he confronted several suspects while on duty with a special tactical team in a mountainous area a few miles northwest of the border city of Nogales.” Apparently, armed banditos figured, “Hey, America doesn’t stop us from crossing over, robbing and raping illegals entering Arizona from Mexico, so what’s a few dead border patrol agents?”

The shooting comes amid growing concern in the United States over the potential for drug cartel violence to spill across the border from Mexico, where more than 33,000 people have been killed since President Vicente Calderon took office in 2006 and vowed to crush the cartels.

Brian Terry , who was gunned down, was a 40 year-old former Marine and ex- metro Detroit police officer.  Although able to survive the mean streets of Detroit as well as surmount the challenges of the US Marine Corps, Brian couldn’t survive a band of illegal marauders causing havoc on the Arizona-Mexican border.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada said the assailants were likely … either smugglers who use the rugged, mountainous area west of Nogales to haul both drugs and illegal immigrants into the United States, or bandits who frequently prey on them.

Terry was “part of an elite squad similar to a police SWAT team that was sent to the remote areas of north Nogales known for border banditry, drug smuggling and violence.”  Obviously an American patriot, Brian’s sister said: “His dream all his life was to be a federal agent.  It was always ‘I want to be a cop; I want to get the bad guys.'”  Well, the tragedy is that illegal bad guys got Agent Terry instead.

The Sheriff said, “We don’t know if they were protecting a load or preying on people who were coming through … the area … with drugs or humans.” Does it matter? Agent Brian Terry is dead.

Brian Terry’s sister said that being a US Border Patrol agent was “his life. He said it was very dangerous but he loved what he did and wanted to make a difference,” – on a border that DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano insists is “more secure than ever before.”

T.J. Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council said, “This is a sign that the politicians and bureaucrats are overly optimistic in their assessment that the borders are more secure now than at any point in our history.”

Instead of condolences, Janet and Barack both owe Agent Terry’s family an apology.

Rather than spend ten days with their beloved son and brother over Christmas, the Terry family will be prematurely burying a United States veteran who needlessly lost his life on American soil.

The harsh truth is that Agent Terry is being laid to rest thanks to a lax Obama administration whose policies have allowed our nation to be invaded from the south and whose ridiculous concern over unfair racial profiling takes precedence over dead Border Patrol agents.

CBP Commissioner Alan Bersin said, “Our commitment to Agent Terry and his family is that we will do everything possible to bring to justice those responsible for this despicable act.”  Someone should inform the well-meaning commissioner that true justice is impossible because those responsible for Agent Terry’s untimely death are in Washington DC, safely ensconced in positions of political power and far from the danger on the border.
