Ya Don’t Say? Obama Says America’s Success Depends on Illegal Kids

illeg-imm-300x180Originally posted at The Clash Daily

As U.S. vets waste away on VA waiting lists and one half of working-age Americans remain unemployed, the southern border devolves into orchestrated chaos, the gains made through blood and treasure disintegrate in the Middle East, and jihadists released from Gitmo prepare to pick up where they left off, Barack Obama focuses on more important issues, such as addressing a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser held in the tony home of big Democrat donors Joanne and Paul Egerman of Weston, Massachusetts.

After giving the commencement address at Worcester Technical High School, Obama reminded big-money donors that America’s “future rests” on the success of those whose lawbreaking parents brought them to the U.S. illegally as children and who he thinks should be eligible to become citizens if the DREAM Act is passed by Congress.

Funny, isn’t it? Barack Obama, Kenya’s favorite son, holds the opinion that illegality should not hinder one from transforming America’s future.

As if high percentages of illegals being in a particular school should be the influence that overrides the law, America’s consensus builder reminded his audience that “About 30 to 40 percent of the kids in [Worcester Tech], by the way, are DREAM kids.”

Then Obama pointed out that “You wouldn’t know it looking at them, because they are as American…” as burritos made with flour tortillas versus the more preferable corn… er, I mean “…as apple pie.”

Not to suggest that illegal immigration is on par with serial murder, but no one would have guessed just by looking at him that in his spare time rapist/kidnapper/necrophile Ted Bundy murdered 30 women. So what do a person’s features have to do with deciding whether or not to uphold the law?

Moreover, if facial characteristics are the standard the president uses to condemn or exonerate a criminal, it might be wise to remember that fresh-faced Palestinian suicide bombers toting explosives-filled backpacks could pass for any one of those innocent-looking Central American refugees being housed in Nogales, Arizona.

Nevertheless, Barack Obama pointed out that “every single one of these kids, you might not be able to tell the difference, but a whole bunch of them — they’re worried about whether or not they’re going to be able to finance their college education of their immigrant status [sic].” Despite being incoherent, that statement clearly illustrates that the president either doesn’t know or doesn’t care about the worried, college-age children of millions of unemployed American citizens, let alone the millions of ailing Americans unable to finance their healthcare thanks to Obama’s assistance via healthcare reform.

Concerned primarily about illegal immigrants – unlike the vast majority of American citizens – Obama told donors that DREAM kids are “worried about whether, in fact, this country that they love so deeply loves them back and understands that our future rests on their success.”

Maybe someone should inform the self-described Constitutional scholar that the future of this country does not depend on sappy stories about criminals’ offspring getting a free pass; the future of America rests on whether the rule of law is enforced and whether those who Obama claims supposedly “love… [this country]…so deeply” love it enough to place the future of America ahead of selfish interests that include defying the law.

In his remarks, Mr. Obama sent a message disguised as a question when he asked Democrat donors, “Why wouldn’t we want to give them that certainty that you are part of the fabric of this nation, we’re counting on you, and we’re going to make sure you succeed?  Why wouldn’t we want to do that?”

Referencing the Worcester grads again, Obama persisted:

So these young people are graduating, ready to go to college, but also certified nurses, EMT folks.  Many of them are choosing to join the military and will contribute to our country in this way. And looking out as I was speaking to them and then shaking their hands, and giving them hugs and high-fives and all the things that kids do on a graduation, I thought to myself: How could we not want to invest in these kids?

A better question is this: Why does Obama refuse to invest in America by reinforcing U.S. sovereignty in the minds of those who disrespect it, and by negating his sovereign oath to uphold the law?

Moreover, why wouldn’t Barack Obama want to encourage the illegals he calls DREAM kids to emulate those who migrated from every corner of the globe, entered the U.S. in a lawful manner, and then depended on personal hard work, not a bloated, federal Nanny State, to achieve their success?

Could the answer to that question be that the president is a hybrid DREAMer himself? After all, many still believe Barack Hussein Obama may be enjoying the perks of a fraudulent presidency, which would explain why he works so hard to advocate on behalf of those who are equally opposed to obeying America’s laws.

Either way, Barack Obama suggesting that our nation’s future depends on the government making sure that illegal immigrants succeed says a lot about this particular president’s low opinion of the law-abiding citizens who may not be able to afford a Democrat fundraiser, but truly do make up the “fabric of this nation.”

Could Benghazi have been a Bergdahl Gambit that Went South?

President Obama has been trying to close Gitmo for years, which means finding a way – any way – to free the terrorists from that prison.  Regrettably for Obama, try as he might, he has been unable to obtain Congressional approval to release Gitmo detainees back onto the battlefield to recommence the murder, mayhem, and destruction.

Thus far, the United States Congress thinks it is in the best interest of the American people to keep highly dangerous Taliban fighters locked up for as long as possible.  Barack “I won” Obama thinks otherwise.

That’s why founding member of the Taliban Khair Ulla Said Wali Khairkhwa, who had close ties with Osama bin Laden, and Mohammad Nabi Omari, member of a joint al-Qaeda/Taliban cell and called “one of the most significant former Taliban leaders detained,” along with deputy chief of Taliban intelligence Abdul Haq Wasiq are now roaming free on the streets of Qatar.

Joining that trio are Mohammad Fazi, thought to be the Taliban’s “army chief of staff,” and senior military commander Mullah Norullah Noori, both of whom were present when CIA paramilitary officer Johnny Micheal Spann was killed during the 2001 Mazar-e Sharif prison riot.

All five are classified as a “high risk” to the United States. That’s why, based on those credentials, it’s easy to see why Congress had been reluctant to make a deal with the devil that is the Taliban.

But at this juncture none of that matters, because thanks to Barack Obama’s majestic magnanimity, five jihadists are now free to wage war again on Americans worldwide.

In the past, Barack Obama has repeatedly proven that he believes he is above the law, which is why he took the Gitmo matter into his own hands and circumvented the rule requiring him to notify Congress 30 days prior for approval before releasing prisoners.  By ignoring the National Defense Authorization Act that he himself signed into law, the “rogue” president belittled Congress and again showed total disrespect for the authority of the U.S. Constitution.

What’s distressing is that in this case the commander-in-chief found a man who may possibly be a traitor to assist in his clandestine endeavor to accomplish what Congressional obstacles had thus far prevented.  That assistant was Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was allegedly fed up with being identified as an American and defending America’s interests in Afghanistan.

From the looks of things, Bergdahl may have been attracted to the Taliban even before he walked off his base.  Yet Barack Obama was willing to portray a deserter and possible traitor as an honorable POW and use that as cover to spring five mass-murdering Taliban operatives from Gitmo.

This Bergdahl “rescue” is such a tangle of provable lies it must inspire a certain amount of conjecture, such as: Could the president’s desire to free Gitmo prisoners explain what went down 20 months ago in Benghazi?

Sorry to have to say it, but with such a conniving, deceitful administration, if a Taliban sympathizer/Army deserter was used as the bargaining chip to free five high-level Taliban fighters, is it that farfetched to imagine that the kidnapping of an American ambassador presented the president with the perfect opportunity to swap either the Gitmo Five or some other equally dangerous individual(s)?

Moreover, after observing the president’s dishonesty in the Bergdahl affair, it’s not that much of a stretch to believe that if Obama couldn’t get Congress to agree to swap Bergdahl in early 2012, he might have manipulated the volatile Benghazi situation in hopes that a kidnapped American diplomat would eliminate Congressional objections to a high-level prisoner swap.

If the theory is accurate and Obama calculated to delay trying to save Stevens with the goal of a hostage swap, how could things have gone so terribly wrong?

Granted, dealing with terrorists is a risky endeavor to undertake, regardless of the circumstances. However, the president has proven repeatedly that forethought is not one of his strong suits.  Thus, it probably never occurred to Obama that when working with jihadists the effort could backfire with catastrophic results.

Guesswork aside, what is certain is that according to former regional security officer Eric Nordstrom, after repeated requests for additional security were denied, he was so frustrated in his efforts to protect the American ambassador he said that dealing with the State Department felt like “The Taliban [was] on the inside of the building.” If the hesitation to respond was purposeful when the inevitable finally did happen, it certainly could explain why an American ambassador had been left so poorly defended.

It could also shed light on the initial “stand down” order that was given during the attack; the bizarre rationale behind the White House’s decision to concoct the lie about the video; and why the president’s whereabouts on the night of September 11th, 2012 are still among the Obama administration’s best-kept secrets.

A calculated effort to thwart a speedy rescue in order to orchestrate a potential hostage exchange might also explain why Hillary and Obama were still perpetrating the video lie as the flag-covered coffins carrying the remains of Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty were rolled off the cargo plane at Andrews Air Force Base.

Even for a man anxious to empty out Gitmo, four dead Americans would certainly put the kibosh on trying a prisoner swap a second time; so maybe it was shell shock that caused Obama to wait almost two years to give Bergdahl a go without Congressional approval.

Either way, if any of this speculation is even remotely close to true, it certainly would make more understandable all the obfuscation and mystery in the aftermath of that fateful night.

But more importantly, after a frustrating two-year-long probe that has accomplished nothing but Obama administration stonewalling, if the unscrupulous tactics behind the Bergdahl/Gitmo charade are ever fully disclosed, maybe America will get outraged enough to demand to know what really happened in Benghazi.

President Obama’s Exceptionally Productive Week

NoneOriginally posted at American Thinker

In the midst of America grappling with the reality that veterans are safer on the battlefield than on a VA hospital waiting list, on Memorial Day, Barack Obama, lover of all things military, flew to Kabul to surprise our U.S. servicemen and women.

After Obama arrived at the troop rally at Bagram air base, Afghani President Hamid Karzai, who in 2008 pinned a medal on George W. Bush’s chest at the presidential palace in Kabul, sent word that because it was such short notice he would not be meeting with the U.S. president.

Looking spiffy in a brown bomber jacket festooned with American flags, the guy who effectively barred veterans from entering the WWII Memorial during the sequester promised the troops that their well-being was of the utmost concern: “We’re going to stay strong by taking care of our wounded warriors and our veterans. Because helping our wounded warriors and veterans heal isn’t just a promise, it’s a sacred obligation.”

To announce the impromptu drop-in, a press aide with the Obama administration — with exactly the level of competence you would expect — somehow forgot to remove the name of the top CIA operative in Afghanistan from the list of attendees provided to the media, putting the station chief’s life at risk.

So while Obama dazzled our servicemen and women with his awesomeness, his administration simultaneously ‘damaged intelligence operations’ and identified the person working undercover to thwart the Taliban’s plans to resume training al Qaeda.

A few days later Obama shared his vision to withdraw all 9,800 troops from Afghanistan and get those guys and gals home and onto a VA waiting list by the end of 2014, as well as by 2016 drawing down every service member remaining in the soon-to-be Taliban-repossessed country.

And if that weren’t enough action for one week, without notifying Congress and eager to get a soldier with a shady past released, the Obama administration suddenly thought it was a great time to make a ‘share the wealth’ exchange. America got back U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, rumored to have spent five years teaching the Taliban bomb-making techniques and infantry tactics, and the Taliban got back five senior leaders from Guantanamo Bay.

Meanwhile, Iranian/American pastor Saeed Abedini sits in an Iranian prison where he’s being intermittently beaten for wanting to establish a Christian orphanage and Marine Reservist Andrew Tahmooressi remains shackled to a bed in Mexico after making a wrong turn into Tijuana with lawful guns in his truck.

Clearly, in Barack Obama’s “sacred obligation” economy, when it comes to exchanging prisoners, the value of Bowe Bergdahl outweighs the value of two men falsely imprisoned, one a Christian pastor, father, and husband, the other a dedicated veteran of two tours of duty in Afghanistan.

Barack Obama has not yet called Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to appeal for Tahmooressi’s release. That’s likely because the president has been so focused on freeing Taliban terrorists and bringing home a purported Taliban sympathizer that he just can’t spare the time.

House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. McKeon (R-CA) and ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee James M. Inhofe (R-OK) issued a joint statement pointing out that because of the 5-for-1 trade-off, “Our terrorist adversaries now have a strong incentive to capture Americans. That incentive will put our forces in Afghanistan and around the world at even greater risk.”

Oh well!

Then, to add still more intrigue to the week of exciting events, Robert Bergdahl, Bowe’s dad, who enjoys passing along pro-Taliban anti-American “invader” tweets for Taliban spokesperson Abdulqahar Balkhi and whose Twitter feed is an odd mix of anti-American and anti-war sentiments, Bible verses, strange quotes, and hippie-dippy tree-hugging weirdness, took it upon himself to celebrate his son’s release by sending a Tweet to the spokesman for his son’s captors.

The Tweet read: “@ABalkhi I am still working to free all Guantanamo prisoners. God will repay for the death of every Afghan child, Ameen [sic].” The Tweet was quickly deleted, but not before being captured on the Twitchy feed.

Bergdahl the elder’s correspondence with the Taliban’s spokesperson certainly coincides with Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s alleged sentiments prior to his ‘capture.’ According to emails quoted in Rolling Stone magazine, Bowe told his parents he was “ashamed to even be American,” and that he was disgusted with the U.S. mission in Afghanistan and with the Army.

And all this drama happened the very same week Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki stepped down and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney decided to pass the baton to a more energetic lackey.

So there goes Obama, breaking the law — again — by refusing to give Congress the required 30-day notice before rescuing the soldier son of a man who appears to be Taliban-sympathetic — a soldier son who said, “The horror that is America is disgusting” and dreamt of walking to Pakistan.

To wrap up this extremely productive week, Barack Obama managed to see to it that America-hating Bowe Bergdahl was exchanged for some of the most dangerous Taliban commanders in U.S. custody. Thanks to the president, the Gitmo Five are now free to make their way west, where they can board a Greyhound bus from Mexico to Arizona, illegally join the U.S. military, or even make history next September 11th.

For $8.99 a Copy Mustapha Abdullah Tells All

Arizona native Terry Colin Holdbrooks Jr., aka Mustapha Abdullah, is a former Army specialist who was forced into retirement with an honorable discharge for “generalized personality disorder.”

Son of junkie parents and raised by 1960’s ex-hippie grandparents, Holdbrooks was a heavy drinker, with intentionally disfigured earlobes that he now plugs with large wooden discs. In search of salvation, in 2002 Terry left the life of horror-film fascination, rock music, booze, and tattoo parlors to join the US military.

Originally, the new recruit was stationed with the 253rd Military Police Company, after which he was deployed to Guantánamo Bay as an MP. In a 2009 interview with Cageprisoners.com, Terry claimed he was assigned to the military police because he asked his recruiter “[w]hat is a job that I can do where I can get paid to just kill people?”

Now Holdbrooks is saying that because of what he calls mistreatment of detainees, “Gitmo is 100 percent antithetical to the basis of our legal system” and is “not the America [he] signed up to defend” by “just kill[ing] people.” With that in mind, it would be fair to say that Mr. Holdbrooks arrived at Gitmo with somewhat of a bias.

Nicknamed the “sociopath,” when asked about 9-11 Terry C.’s response was “I thought it was about time America got one- it should’ve happened a long time ago- we’re not untouchable, we’re not some magical country- we’re some high-horse-riding, our s*** don’t stink, unlearned individuals.” As a teenager, Holdbrooks claimed that besides piercing his body, he had searched for truth in different religions.

When he arrived at Gitmo, the atheistic seeker-of-truth was convinced that all monotheistic religions were evil and proved it by having a Nazi SS and “BY DEMONS BE DRIVEN” tattooed on his arm. According to Mr. Holdbrooks, he was drawn to Islam after he allegedly saw “abusive soldiers” force shackled prisoners to defecate on themselves, douse them with cold water, smear them with fake menstrual blood, and force them to listen to rock music while being subjected to strobe lights.

6a00d83451c49a69e201156f2816a7970c-320wiApparently having had no exposure to teenage suicide bombers, when speaking about the injustice of detaining enemy combatants Mr. Holdbrooks shared that “The first thing I saw [at Gitmo] was a kid…I am sitting there thinking, what can he possibly know about the war on terror?” Great question!

Anyway, flattered to be called “the nice MP” by Gitmo detainees, over the course of several months, between escorting prisoners to interrogation, collecting rubbish and making sure detainees weren’t passing notes, Terry chitchatted with the terrorists, read the Qur’an, and disciplined himself to study Islam. Those amicable dealings, along with seeing the prisoners pray five times a day, observing the art of conveying messages with twine, and watching detainees turn peanut butter into body oil earned the terrorists Terry’s admiration.

That’s why, in a midnight ceremony on the floor of Camp Delta, the Guantánamo guard converted to Islam in the presence of detainee #590, Moroccan chef/author Ahmed Errachidi, also known as “the General.” When asked, Ahmed didn’t recall the 2003 encounter where, after reciting the shahada and proclaiming that “there is no God but God and Muhammad is his prophet,” Terry officially transformed into Mustapha Abdullah.

Abdullah now claims that after his life-changing conversion, one squad leader and five guards took him to the living quarters’ yard, yelled at him and asked if he was “switching sides.” Then, he says they throttled his sorry butt for being a traitor. Mustapha Abdullah harbors no anger. Unlike his colleagues in the military, who he describes as “ridiculous Budweiser-drinking, cornbread-fed, tobacco-chewing drunks, racists and bigots” who blindly follow orders, Mustapha is a peaceful and content Muslim.

Describing himself “a slave to what the army wanted me to do,” Holdbrooks maintains that after his discharge he was unable to draw on Islam to rise above his circumstances. Therefore, Mustapha regressed into Terry, divorced his wife, and happily returned to booze, sex, and rock and roll for the next four years. Holdbrooks now blames Guantánamo for his departure from the rich inner life and spiritual independence he claimed attracted him to Islam.

Despite being devout at Guantánamo, back in Phoenix, Terry was “having nightmares about [his] time in Guantánamo…and spent the best part of three years just trying to drink Guantánamo out of [his] mind,” by acting exactly like the drunken souse he was before he was deployed to Gitmo.

Wait! Didn’t Holdbrooks initially become a Muslim after admiring Muslim inmates who professed faith under adversity? Either way, after suffering seizures and a skull fracture that resulted from a fall while on the Islam hiatus, Terry’s addictions landed him in the hospital where he required the insertion of a titanium plate in his head.

Since returning to Islam in 2009, luckily for him the head scar is covered by a kufi cap. Not only that, but since his Muslim rebirth, Mustapha has plenty to say.  On Obama he opined, “I was afraid…and hesitant …with the idea of…intelligent, honest black American…Obama becoming president; the rest of the world, when it comes to politics and economics, it’s used to having a crooked white Christian liar for its face, as president.”

After calling “Papa Bush” a moron and describing Americans as living in their “small little American bubble in the way life’s ‘supposed’ to be- apple pie, Budweiser, Marlboro Reds; let’s get drunk on the floor and populate the world with our dumb children,” the pious holy man thanked his Muslim mentors still in GTMO “for sticking to Islam and leaving it as pure as it should be, and just loving and caring and forgiving.”

Mustapha Abdullah openly spurns Christianity, American history, the ‘Jewish’ diamond business, and materialistic capitalism, but still hopes to share his story in a self-published memoir entitled Traitor? – which sells for $8.99 on Amazon.

In the meantime, when not “loving and caring and forgiving,” outraged speaker, writer, student, and volunteer Mustapha Abdullah is working the media and milking the public speaking circuit, telling the “truth about Gitmo.”

Zamboni vs Triple Salchow Championship Boxing Match

obama-cheneybothkillers

Neophyte politician Barack Obama met his match in Dick Cheney a mature, experienced statesman. Obama may think Rules for Radicals techniques will work on Dick, but he is dealing with a valiant, unmovable warrior. Obama is used to undying adulation and goes largely unchallenged in spite of providing minimal strategic policy details. Obama hasn’t a clue what he is doing and Dick Cheney is neither flummoxed nor threatened by bravado. Barry picked a fight with the wrong guy and if anyone should be anxious about the outcome it should be Obama.

Naive people enamored by rhetoric never bothered to research Obama’s past history or consider his lack of experience. The irresponsible choice of electing Obama was like asking a yellow cab driver to pilot a stealth bomber. If the pilot manages to get airborne there’s a good chance those who placed him in the cockpit will be victimized by his landing. Dick Cheney, an accomplished fighter pilot, recognizes the dire threat Obama poses to the nation and is attempting to divert disaster.

No one can deny Obama is a skilled orator, but when you get past his tri-weekly soliloquy photo-ops and the soaring violins cease the content leaves a lot to be desired. Obama is inexperienced, has a paper-thin resume and is driven exclusively by ideological leftist agenda. He is a man without conviction who tries to play both sides of the aisle, “…a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.” Obama’s rhetoric contains bitterness toward the history of the country he leads and promotes an agenda intended to right perceived wrongs, regardless of cost.

Obama loathes disparagement and becomes agitated if challenged. Dick Cheney is someone who is unwavering in his core beliefs and endures criticism with a strength, which comes from making the hard decisions. Obama continues to maintain the stance that since the election deemed him winner the option for political policy debate is closed. “Some Americans are angry, others want to refight debates that have been settled, most clearly at the ballot box in November.” Obama is used to having his every word breathlessly jotted into composition notebooks and regurgitated as gospel on mid-terms. However, Washington D.C. is not the University of Chicago School of Law and Dick Cheney isn’t one of his students and won’t readily submit to dictatorial edicts.

Although Obama has oratory proficiency that can be likened to ice skater Kristy Yamaguchi doing triple salchow jumps, Dick Cheney is a political Zamboni. He is highly articulate, intelligent and able to make all things clear and straightforward. He exudes undeniable gravitas and is adept at succinctly sweeping away the debris of deceit without histrionics and inappropriate emotionalism.

Since January 20th Cheney has been quietly standing in the wings watching the show, listening to the rhetoric as Obama undermines national security, defends terrorists, takes a wrecking ball to the reputation of the Bush Administration and exalts his own tenderfoot self as the authority who knows everything from the economy to subduing nuclear bullies. Dick Cheney has been observing a kindergarten dress-up where yesterday Obama was the sheriff and today the president.

When presented with the Guantanamo Bay challenge from a Democratically controlled U.S. Senate Obama was stunned. They, “…handed him a stinging setback by blocking funds to shutter the prison until he presents a detailed plan on what to do with the 240 terrorism suspects held there.” Psychologists say that narcissists externalize blame and true to form Obama did so in a speech at the National Archives addressing the nation’s security issues. Rather than admitting zero plans and that his second day in office hyped-up proclamation to release Gitmo detainees was a tad premature, he blamed the Bush Administration saying, “We are cleaning up something that is quite simply – a mess – a misguided experiment that has left in its wake a flood of legal challenges.”

To call what he has been left a “mess” reveals naivety, blatant unawareness and astounding arrogance. Does he appreciate the mess Bush/Cheney dealt with after 9-11? “The totality of the destruction of the 7 World Trade Center buildings is beyond imagination. Massive steel buildings with concrete floors, glass and offices simply pulverized, except for the steel. Bar joists and concrete reinforcement became a tangled mess that was difficulty to recognize. Deck form and concrete disappeared into dust. Office and victims became dust and ash.”

After a few months, quiet man Cheney obviously felt it was time to step forward and set the record straight ducking under the ropes and entering the ring.

Ideological Obama accused the Bush Administration of lying saying, “All too often, our government trimmed facts and evidence to fit ideological predispositions.” Obama’s comments engaged Cheney and the light-weight president was forced to box a seven-foot, fire-breathing hulk bearing down on him, while he boxed air. Obama, decked out in designer boxing duds was on notice to duke-it-out with a fearless, mean, sucker-punch guy, dressed in a ripped T-shirt with duct tape wrapped around his knuckles.

Cheney leaned against the ropes as towel-boy Emmanuel dried off Barry’s profusely sweaty forehead. Cool, calm Richard had Barry on the defensive. Cheney stared down Barack’s narcissistic soft spot and elicited a reaction. In self-protective mode, Barack portrayed himself to stand for the values of our Founding Fathers. He made a huge mistake when he said, “Every now and then, there are those who think that America’s safety and success requires us to walk away from the sacred principles enshrined in this building. And we hear such voices today.” That was when Cheney sprinkled resin on his clenched fists.

Cheney remained calm and at just the right moment came off the ropes sans teleprompter, script or backdrop of the Constitution as filler. His conviction is his core and his strength and in clear and concise terms retorted to the absurdity of Obama’s policy to release enhanced interrogation memos, coddle terrorists, and transfer them to American prisons or to call security measures torture. Cheney scored a right to the abdomen saying, “There is never a good time to compromise when the lives and safety of the American people are in the balance.”

Obama came back with a wordy, lengthy speech like a boxer dancing around the ring. Cheney, sure-footed and unafraid, entered the center and said, “Releasing the interrogation memos was flatly contrary to the national security interest of the United States.” Barry gasping for breath cited human rights, the closing of Guantanamo Bay vowing no retreat on the Cuban prison. Cheney responded with a jab to the bridge of his nose asserting this type of irresponsible policy as “rooted in politics not the safety of Americans.”

Barack Obama forced to wipe the trickle of blood from his nose while holding up falling boxer shorts with the other hand, coughed up blood as he tried to reassure a booing crowd that “super-max” jails might be an option for the most dangerous Al Qaeda detainees. Huh? Circling Obama, Cheney mocked him, “The administration has found that it’s easy to receive applause in Europe for closing Guantanamo…but it’s tricky to come up with an alternative that will serve the interest of justice and America’s national security.” Swish Barry’s ideological front tooth went flying.

Obama down for the count crawled around on his belly, attempting to address the use of enhanced interrogation. Obama appealed to the moral fiber of the American conscience saying, “We must leave these methods where they – belong – in the past. They are not who we are. They are not America.” Cheney came in with a left to the chin and replied to the most liberal, pro-choice President in American history calling him a person who engages in, “contrived indignation and phony moralizing on the interrogation methods applied to a few captured terrorists.” Cheney rightly reminded his audience that, “…people who consistently distort the truth in this way are in no position to lecture anyone about “values.”

Pushing the Bush/Cheney policy against the ropes and inflaming the left the Obama Administration in an attempt to “…stay true to who we are” released five memos revealing the enhanced interrogation techniques utilized to gain information from three high ranking terrorists calling them “torture.” Cheney, a moral man, whose main concern has always been the protection and safety of America, felt a knockout punch was overdue, especially since Barack accused our nation of, “…losing our moral bearings over torture.” Cheney split Obama’s lip by saying, “For all that we’ve lost in this conflict, the United States has never lost its moral bearings…I can assure you [the interrogated terrorists] were neither innocent nor victims.”

Obama shielded his face from an oncoming assault but was unable to protect himself from the onslaught…where truth defeats lies and morality overturns immorality…Cheney’s final blow came couched in a question that probes deeper than the threat of Islamic jihadists. It challenges those who desire our destruction and can be applied to anyone, including his opponent, who hates this nation, its values and judges our moral standards from a place of faulty morality of their own. The knockout came when Cheney said,  “It is much closer to the truth that terrorists hate this country precisely because of the values we profess and seek to live by, not by some alleged failure to do so. Nor are terrorists or those who see them as victims exactly the best judges of America’s moral standards, one way or the other.”

With the clang of the final bell the round and the match was over. Cheney retained the championship belt of protector of national security, tested leadership, courage and patriotism, as whimpering, whiny, wounded Obama skulked away.
