Will Families of Slain NYPD Officers be Obama’s Guests at the SOTU Address?

On January 29, 2013, on the South Side of Chicago, while standing with friends in Vivian Gordon Harsh Park, 15-year-old teen Hadiya Pendleton was killed by two youths who shot into the group in an attempt to hit a rival gang member.

At the time, the president was attending memorials and reacting to the tragedies surrounding the Gabby Giffords; Aurora, Colorado; and Newtown, Connecticut shootings, all three of which took place in 2011 and 2012.  Eager to suppress the Second Amendment by exploiting gun violence (while simultaneously promoting and funding unrestricted feticide), and supposedly in hopes of making sure the children are safe, Obama sent wife Michelle to Hadiya’s funeral in Chicago.

In an effort to ratchet up her husband’s anti-gun rhetoric, at Harper High School in Chicago, where several students had recently lost their lives to gun violence, Michelle personally identified with the murdered teen when she uttered the words “Hadiya Pendleton was me, and I was her.”

It was all very poignant and moving.

Then, just weeks after young Hadiya had been laid to rest, to drive home the guns-need-to-be-controlled point, at the State of the Union, sitting right beside Michelle Obama in the Special People/Political-Point-Scoring Skybox, were Cleo and Nat Pendleton.

Hadiya’s bereaved parents listened while the president encouraged a vote for gun reform by referencing their daughter’s love for Fig Newtons and lip gloss and her drum majorette performance at an event celebrating his second inauguration.

Stressing the need for Congress to vote for gun control, Obama told his audience that “Hadiya’s parents, Nate and Cleo, are in this chamber tonight, along with more than two dozen Americans whose lives have been torn apart by gun violence. They deserve a vote.”

Then the president hammered home the point by saying that “Gabby Giffords deserves a vote[.] … The families of Newtown … [and] the families of Aurora deserve a vote.”

Fast-forward to December 2014.  Amid tensions agitated by the guy who seems more amenable to gun violence if it’s taking place during a bout of racial unrest, and with the encouragement of race-hustler Al Sharpton and that converter of lesbians with the biracial son whom he warned to watch out for the NYPD, Mayor Bill de Blasio, two New York City police officers were shot in the head execution-style.

This was not a random shooting.

Just one week before Christmas, citing the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, clad in camouflage pants and a baseball cap, Ismaayil Brinsley targeted Wenjian Liu, son of Chinese immigrants, and Brooklyn native and aspiring church chaplain Rafael Ramos, solely because they were cops.

Carrying a high-caliber handgun, Brinsley silently approached and fired through the passenger-side window of the police cruiser.  Newlywed Liu and devoted father Ramos, who were working overtime on an anti-terrorism drill, were both mortally wounded.

In the wake of those deaths, the president has had little to say.  Preoccupied by a 17-day Christmas vacation in Hawaii, the man who flew to South Africa for Mandela’s funeral did not allow his golfing time to be disrupted by funerary obligations.  Even Michelle was given a reprieve.  Rather than rush to New York as she did to Chicago when she attended Hadiya’s funeral, the first lady remained in Oahu.

What is odd is that every chance he gets, the president endeavors to weaken the Second Amendment, and yet in the wake of the NYPD murders, Obama seems unwilling to call attention to the rampant bloodshed being perpetrated by angry black youths with racism as their grievance.

It’s also strange is that although he’s the nation’s chief law enforcement official, unlike Michelle identifying with Hadiya, Obama doesn’t seem to personally identify with the assassinated police officers.

After all, if the belief on the left is that “anti-government, pro-gun, xenophobic populism” contributed to the Tucson, Aurora, and Newtown tragedies, isn’t it then the president’s responsibility to acknowledge how expressions of sympathy for the Trayvon Martins and Michael Browns of the world might become an inspiration for Ismaayil Brinsley types to attack and kill cops?

Maybe President Obama hasn’t noticed, but if ever there was a gun-toting, Quran-carrying “bitter clinger,” Brinsley was it!

Furthermore, based on his silence on the subject, the president must not feel it’s necessary to mention that the shooter, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was part of the paramilitary, San-Quentin-originated Black Guerrilla gang and a Muslim with connections to the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).

However, all is not lost; as the annual State of the Union address draws near, there’s plenty of time for Obama to redeem himself.

Similar to the respect he gave Hadiya Pendleton’s parents by inviting them to sit in the gallery of the House of Representatives, maybe the president will offer equal time at the upcoming SOTU to the heartbroken teenage sons of Rafael Ramos, Jaden and Justin, and their mother Maritza, as well as the inconsolable widow of Wenjian Liu, Pei Xia Chen.

And what better occasion than a primetime speech for Obama to point out how, despite the stringent regulations his executive orders have sought to impose on law-abiding gun owners, if a thug like Ismaayil Brinsley is bent on murder, acquiring a firearm is still easy to do?

Then, just as the president stressed the significance of saving one child’s life through gun control in a prior State of the Union, this year, Obama can announce new measures to protect the lives of the police officers currently threatened by the disgruntled black youths he and his cohort of race-baiters have so blatantly incited.

Baby Sea Lion Murder at Laguna Beach

Picture 5Originally posted at American Thinker

In the same way that Mark Kelly’s life was forever changed when his wife Gabby was shot in a Safeway parking lot by a madman with a Glock 19, so too has his life been touched by witnessing his 18-year-old daughter Claudia’s dog attack a helpless baby sea lion in Laguna Beach, California. The last time it was at a congressional outreach meeting; this time it was while on a family vacation at Goff Cove Beach, where the message is: “If you do visit this area please do not take, collect or disturb any of the marine life.”

Leisurely walking the beach near the Montage Laguna Beach resort with his daughter and her 65-pound American bulldog, the dog suddenly exhibited instinctual behavior when it noticed a sea lion pup, broke free from the leash, and charged the helpless pinniped. Sea lions detect prey by sensing victim vibrations with their whiskers; suffice it to say that the Kelly dog seriously messed up this particular sea lion’s vibrissae. After locking down on its face with a mandible that exerts 235 pounds of force, assault bull dogs can now be added to the list of the sea lions’ natural predators that includes sharks, whales, and polar bears.

Ruining the mood in an otherwise affluent seaside artists’ community, the Kelly dog, after hunting and capturing prey that typically only includes bear, wild boar, raccoon, and squirrel, could not be coaxed to discharge the hemorrhaging seal from its 42 large teeth. A commotion ensued as passersby rushed to the seafaring mammal’s defense, because the stubbornly uncooperative dog simply refused to release his catch from his grip.

The question arises, especially for a family dedicated to nonviolence: Wasn’t the Kelly dog taught to control its natural aggression, or exposed to the ‘PETA principle’ that states “animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment or abuse in any way?”

Guess not, because the Laguna Beach incident quickly spiraled out of control. Not only did the Kelly dog exhibit ferocious conduct, but stimulated a similar response in a passerby who, in an attempt to convince him to release the sea lion, and in lieu of a club, beat the hound with an environmentally-friendly piece of sea weed. As screaming and crying filled the air, Kelly’s daughter, who should have taken the powerful dog to obedience class as a puppy, was yanking him from behind screaming, “Let go… let go,” while another woman played tug-of-war with the dog using her full weight to pull on the dying sea lion’s tail.

From the rocks above, some man screamed, “”Drown the dog. He will let go and swim. Trust me,” to which Ms. Kelly responded with an unladylike expletive.

ventually, Astronaut Kelly appeared and saved the day. For lack of an assault weapon to shoot the dog, Mark was forced to shake the family pet loose, after which, visibly annoyed, he yanked the pooch with the blood-stained maw and led a weeping daughter, in need of consolation, away from the dead seal.

Kelly later met with police, who did not issue his daughter a citation because at this time of year it’s legal to walk leashed dogs on the beach. Therefore, Mark Kelly’s daughter’s dog got away with murder, because after dying from his wounds and receiving an impromptu burial at sea, the sea lion was in no condition to press charges.

Thankfully, Gabby “Be Bold… Be Courageous… Support Background Checks” Giffords was not involved in the incident, either as an eyewitness to the crime or as a participant in coaxing the doggy to give up his ill-gotten grub. A spokesman for Kelly and his wife issued a statement calling the bulldog slaughter of the sea lion “a sad accident.”

According to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, there are a large number of ailing sea lions washing up on shore. So the unfortunate event likely took place because a sickly pup made its way to the coastline in search of comfort and was met by Mark Kelly’s assault dog that saw fit to put a “beached animal in distress” out of its misery by crushing its precious little face in a jaw lock.

Therefore, if Mark Kelly is true to form, any day now you should see him in a pet store purchasing another American bull dog. After the disturbing incident on Laguna Beach, in an effort to demonstrate the ease of acquiring assault dogs, watch for Mark Kelly to make the rounds at dog shows and bulldog breeders too. And it won’t be because he’s shopping for another cuddly pet; it will only be to prove a point.

Employing The Mark Kelly Method

mark-kelly-gun-store1-300x224After almost succumbing to a schizophrenic’s shooting spree that killed six innocent people in an Arizona parking lot, former congresswoman Gabby Giffords has become the poster child for gun control.  Seated in the first lady’s skybox for the president’s State of the Union address, Gabby Giffords and husband Mark Kelly were among a group of selected VIPs, all of whom had their lives negatively impacted by gun violence.

Seated in the first lady’s skybox for the president’s State of the Union address, Gabby Giffords and husband, Mark Kelly, were among a group of selected VIPs, all of whom had their lives negatively impacted by gun violence.

Wearing their gun violence awareness ribbons on their lapels, the Kellys’ presence was a powerful addition to the “They deserve a vote” portion of the SOTU.  At the end of the address, Obama segued into a roll call of names and implied that they, on the merit of tragic circumstances, deserved a vote to ensure stricter gun laws.

The list included slain Chicago teen Hadiya Pendleton’s parents, as well as victims of Sandy Hook. That was when Obama boldly declared, “Gabby Giffords deserves a vote!” With that, the camera panned to Gabby and Mark.  Mark was clapping and standing beside him was Gabby, shaking her clasped hands to-and-fro like she was playing the cabasa in the school recital.  It was a picture worth 1,000 words.

The power of seeing a husband supporting a wife suffering from a catastrophic brain injury was undeniable. After the heart-stirring visual, the sycophant media ordained Captain Kelly an “outspoken advocate for new gun control measures.”
