When she’s not out championing the right to kill the unborn, occasional devout Catholic Nancy Pelosi has become a spokesperson for unaccompanied babies and minors, and by extension, the rapists, killers, and robbers flooding unlawfully across the border from Mexico into the U.S.
Recently, in a guest appearance on MSNBC “Morning Joe,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) shared her spiritual love for the children by telling Joe Scarborough that when it comes to caring for all of the world’s children, no price is too high for America to pay. Mrs. Pelosi shared her feeling that rather than view the thousands of waifs bringing disease, crime, and mayhem into our country, unaccompanied minors should be looked upon as “baby Jesus” who, as a refugee, fled Bethlehem to escape violence. In the beginning of the 2009 flu season, Barack Obama declared the H1N1 swine flu a national emergency. By October of that year 1,000 people had already died, and according to the president there was the threat of a pandemic. In order to hasten treatment and convince Americans to line up like lemmings for a flu shot, Obama gave former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius a one-time authorization to bypass standard federal regulations to quickly respond to the outbreak.
The president repeatedly warned the public that a pandemic was approaching, and that the numbers of people getting sick were escalating quickly. In his plague-panic declaration, the president wrote: “As a nation, we have prepared at all levels of government, and as individuals and communities, taking unprecedented steps to counter the emerging pandemic.”
Vaccine production delays compounded the problem and enhanced the drama. Finally, when the injections did become available to Washington DC school children, Sasha and Malia Obama, who were 8 and 11 at the time, were the first of the Obamas to be inoculated.
As tension mounted, the White House announced that Michelle and the president, like a captain willing to go down with the ship, decided to wait in line.
Publicly, Obama said, “I suspect that I may come fairly far down the line… We will stand in line like everybody else. And when folks say it’s our turn, that’s when we’ll get it.”
Supposedly, a selfless Obama wanted priority target groups — people under 24, pregnant women, and those with underlying conditions — to go first. Probably closer to the truth was that, rather than risk his own health on a possible tainted vaccine, the president wanted “useless eaters,” fertile women, and the chronically ill to be the guinea pigs.
Speaking of pigs, according to the CDC, after the swine flu scare was over, in a country that typically sees 36,000 deaths from the flu annually, that year 12,000 Americans died of the swine flu.
With the H1N1 scare and the look-at-me vaccine photo op far behind him, waiting in line wasn’t something Obama wanted to do when he stopped for lunch at Franklin Barbeque in Texas. President Obama was so eager to get “nine pounds of brisket, four pounds of turkey, ribs and a pecan pie for a total of $422” – he cut the line.No
Unlike the swine flu emergency of 2009, in 2014 the president seems to have more interest in barbeque than he does concern for the Border Patrol agent from Laredo, Texas who may have lifelong complications as a result of the bacterial pneumonia he contracted while processing the swarms of sick illegal aliens that Obama, who had plenty of time to eat spare ribs and pecan pie, had no time to visit.
According to Agent Jarrad Seely, vice president of National Border Patrol Council 2455, being so gravely ill is a “very traumatic experience for [the agent] and [the agent’s] family.” According to Seely it’s still too early to tell if the father of small children, who was very healthy prior to processing illegal immigrants, will fully recover or ever be able to work again.
Hector Garza, the secretary and treasurer of NBPC 2455, issued a dire warning when he said, “Our agents have been getting sick more often than before with flus and congestion and a whole bunch of respiratory illnesses.”
As this young father’s life and the life of his family have been forever impacted by an unnecessary set of circumstances created by a president refusing to address a lawless situation, the question is this: What happened to that guy who was so concerned about pandemics and preventing the healthcare industry from being unnecessarily overwhelmed with deathly ill people?
If the H1N1 virus caused the president such urgent trepidation, why then, with his implicit approval, are a whole host of much more treacherous viruses streaming in unchecked at our southern border?
Why would Obama consider H1N1 a national emergency and then just five years later wave through the yellow quarantine tape scores of untreated illegals into the midst of a population with almost no exposure to diseases like scabies, MDR-TB, whooping cough, Changas disease, MRSA staph infections, and Ebola fever?
To lend context to a possible answer, in 2010, while looking for drug traffickers to rob of marijuana, Mexican citizen Manuel Osorio-Arellanes murdered Border Agent Brian Terry with a gun obtained from Obama’s failed “Fast and Furious” gun-tracking operation.
Terry’s needless death, as well as the subsequent death of ICE agent Jaime Zapata and hundreds of Mexicans also killed with “Fast and Furious” guns, have all confirmed that if fatalities further Obama’s agenda, the body count is of no concern.
Since taking office this president’s actions and inactions have confirmed over and over that the mission of progressivism far outweighs a few thousand – or a few million – American lives. That’s because, in the liberal mind, illegal immigrants with bad intentions and deadly communicable diseases are not a threat, they’re just facilitators of an agenda belonging to the man who insisted every American had to have a flu shot.
For some reason, Barack Obama’s need in 2009 to enforce federal oversight by attempting to inject Americans with a vaccine to save lives has given way in 2014 to a total disregard for the health, safety and wellbeing of all of us.
A lot of insight can be gained from revisiting snippets of Barack Obama’s old speeches. The lectures the president has imposed on his audiences provide an understanding of how one man’s view of the world stands to irrevocably impact America’s future.
Take for instance the president’s comments on the Middle East that he delivered prior to a scheduled meeting with Bibi Netanyahu in May of 2011. Those remarks were delivered one year after Obama stomped out of the Roosevelt Room and left Netanyahu to stew for an hour while he ate dinner in the residential wing. As usual, Obama had all the answers to problems he knows nothing about.
The president covered a lot of ground, but at one point, Obama brought up a young Tunisian street vendor named Mohammed Bouazizi who lost his business when a police officer confiscated his cart. When officials refused to hear his complaints, Bouazizi, who Obama said was never “particularly active in politics,” self-immolated in frustration.
The president said, “This was not unique. It’s the same kind of humiliation that takes place every day in many parts of the world -– the relentless tyranny of governments that deny their citizens dignity.”
Little did we realize at the time that Obama would be describing the tyranny he himself imposes by denying frustrated Americans the dignity to which we are constitutionally entitled when our leaders uphold the rule of law and adhere to our nation’s founding document.
If Obama felt so moved to address the travails of the people living in Middle East three years ago, how come he refuses to recognize the similarities to the American people, many of whom feel cowed under oppressive government control and frustrated by Obama’s dogged refusal to recognize their fear and anger over Obamacare, the IRS, Benghazi, and the current orchestrated crisis on our southern border?
“There are times in the course of history,” the president said, “when the actions of ordinary citizens spark movements for change because they speak to a longing for freedom that has been building up for years.” At the time, did Obama anticipate that there would be a “longing for freedom…building up for years” here in America after enduring six years of his domineering policies?
Come to think of it, when Obama speaks, does he ever listen to what comes out of his mouth? He spoke of Rosa Parks and how in Tunisia, as in America, “the defiance of patriots” had the power to “tap into the frustration felt throughout a country” until those resisting tyranny accomplished their goal.
Then he actually said:
In too many countries power has been concentrated in the hands of a few… a citizen like that young vendor had nowhere to turn – no honest judiciary to hear his case; no independent media to give him voice; no credible political party to represent his views; no free and fair election where he could choose his leader.
Referring to the conflict-ridden Middle East, Obama also touched upon “strategies of repression and strategies of diversion,” which are the very same manipulative tactics he uses in the United States to expand his power. The president declared, “Divisions of tribe, ethnicity and religious sect…[being]… manipulated as a means of holding on to power, or taking it away from somebody else.” Sound familiar?
Positioning himself to take credit for a Middle East success story that never actually came to pass, Obama said, “So we face a historic opportunity. We have the chance to show that America values the dignity of the street vendor in Tunisia more than the raw power of the dictator.”
Based on the public’s current aversion to the deliberate creation of an illegal immigration crisis on the border, it certainly seems as though Obama’s use of raw power is what’s causing the loss of dignity Americans are increasingly feeling as hundreds of thousands of illegals pour into our country, many of whom are carrying infectious diseases.
And while Barack Obama’s doubletalk and disingenuousness are always predictable, from where we stand today, probably the most stunning pronouncement of the Middle East speech was when the Destroyer of Borders gave border advice.
Even though nobody asked him, in a few words Obama shifted longstanding U.S. policy and spoke on America’s behalf when he said, “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.”
Why would a community organizer who never planned to recognize and secure the borders of America feel qualified to suggest “secure and recognized borders” for Palestine and Israel? Even more concerning is the very real possibility that this man might be capable of suggesting that the U.S. share a piece of our territorial pie by relinquishing a portion of our established southern borders to those currently invading our homeland.
Sound far-fetched? Think again. Isn’t that what he suggested Israel should do?
Paraphrasing his favorite quote for the Middle East, the Alinskyite also said, “But after decades of accepting the world as it is in the region, we have a chance to pursue the world as it should be.”
Then he emphatically declared, “America respects the right of all peaceful and law-abiding voices to be heard, even if we disagree with them. And sometimes we profoundly disagree with them.” Well, that’s for sure!
True Americans certainly do respect “the right of all peaceful and law-abiding voices to be heard, even if we disagree with them.” But Barack Obama most definitely does not respect that right, especially if the peaceful and law-abiding voices belong to border patrol agents or to the media wanting to speak out about the dire consequences sure to follow the fiasco in Texas and Arizona.
In the meantime, the words that Barack Obama meant for the Middle East three years ago are now more suited to a nation suffering as a result of the chaos he is currently fostering here at home.

Kilmeade mentioned to Cuellar that the WH doesn’t take kindly to Democrats criticizing the president and cited Corey Booker catching flak and then backtracking.
Kilmeade pressed Cuellar about who called but the Congressman declined to say.
Originally posted at American Thinker In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, George W. Bush’s second term was tainted with accusations of racism. The former president and his government’s slow response to Katrina fostered comments in the black community that Bush later said were the “the most disgusting moments” of his presidency.
At the center of the debate was rapper Kanye West, who publicly declared that the government’s slow response to the hurricane’s damage indicated that Bush, the president with a solid record of positive involvement in African policies concerning Sudan and South Sudan and HIV/AIDS and malaria, “[didn’t] care about black people.”
Bush later said, “I faced a lot of criticism as president… But the suggestion that I was racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all-time low.”
Nine years later, in a June 2014 GQ interview, Austin Powers comedian Mike Myers, the man who stood beside West when the rapper accused the former president of racism, defended his friend by saying that after watching Katrina news coverage on television, he too believed that “had that been white people, the government would have been there faster.”
Now there is a similar controversy crying out for attention from the likes of those who implied that G.W. Bush was a racist. This time it concerns not black, but brown people from Central America journeying illegally over the southern border.
White House Press Secretary Josh “Not So” Earnest announced that, because the president receives his information from a chain of senior advisors, he will not be traveling to the border, nor is there a need for him to drop by detention centers to visit with warehoused “unaccompanied” brown children.
Mr. Earnest reassured the White House press pool that notwithstanding his avoiding places like Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio like the proverbial plague, the president is being kept up to date from afar by a “whole range of senior officials in this administration [who] over the course of the last three or four weeks have spent a lot of time in the southwest border.”
Yet even as Earnest claims that the president, who had no idea what was happening in Benghazi the night four Americans were murdered by terrorists, “has a very good sense of what’s happening on the border,” the silence is deafening from those who vilified Bush for not touching down in New Orleans sooner.
So, according to “Not So” Earnest, between golf games and confusing law-abiding immigrants by shilling for amnesty at a July 4 naturalization ceremony, Obama gets “regular reports about what [officials are] seeing on the border and how resources that are being devoted to processing those who have appeared at the border are being used to effectively administrate justice.” Administrate justice?
So here’s a question that maybe Mr. Earnest, who also seems very concerned about justice, might be able to answer: why wasn’t the senior advisor “chain” that is good enough for Barack Obama good enough for George W. Bush?
And where is the justice in the guy fomenting the border crisis having planned neither a flyover nor a drop-in while attending three Democrat fundraisers in Texas – one in Dallas and two in Austin?
Remember just days before the 2012 election when, despite his tight schedule and regular updates from advisors, Barack Obama somehow managed to fly into New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy to hug lots of white people, including RINO Governor Christie? Now, for some reason, Obama the “fundamental transformer” can’t find a couple of hours or muster up the desire to accept conservative Governor Rick Perry’s invitation to come to the border and hug brown people.
Meanwhile, according to reporters who did stop by, besides detention centers stinking to high heaven, illegal children are being warehoused like animals and segregated behind chain link fences according to age and gender. If Bush were in the White House, those conditions would be conveyed as abuse, racism, and gender and age discrimination.
But fear not! FEMA is on the scene, as well as swine flu, head lice, and whooping cough, plus a few culturally-diverse Third-World favorites like MDR-TB, scabies, and Ebola hemorrhagic fever.
With those types of communicable diseases being spread, Barack Obama could certainly remediate his sagging poll numbers if he suited up in a mask, gown, and gloves and visited with sick Border Security agents infected with the swine flu and TB they caught while changing the diapers of unaccompanied children they were warned not to turn away.
As the chaos continues, the president will travel to Texas to fundraise, but don’t expect to see photos featuring a detached Obama flying over the southern border looking out the window of Air Force One like the one of Bush flying over post-Katrina New Orleans.
Wait! While Obama is fundraising, maybe Hollywood will save the day, just as they did with Bush, and host a primetime “Shelter from the Storm”-style telethon for the little urchins wrapped in aluminum foil blankets, housed like those in the Superdome after Katrina. While liberal activist Ben Affleck mans the phone bank raising money for bus tickets, Kanye West and sidekick Mike Myers can rant and rave.
The telethon can feature brown stars such as Hispanic comedian George Lopez, actress/Border Security brainstormer/Obama adviser Eva Longoria, actress Jessica Alba, and Latino White House Super Bowl Party Guest and Insatiable “I Luh Ya Papi” Jennifer Lopez.
By expressing outrage over the president’s unwillingness – even though he was in Texas already – to personally evaluate the state of affairs at emergency shelters, Hollywood Obama acolytes will have a chance to repudiate their reputation as out-of-touch liberal fantasists.
By speaking out against Barack Obama for ignoring the border crisis, Hollywood can prove it’s really all about the people and not the politics, because according to Kanye’s standards, Barack Obama doesn’t care about brown people.
Originally posted at American Thinker When the former speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said that the concocted crisis on the border in Texas, which she described as a “community with a border going through it,” should be viewed as an “opportunity,” she publicly confirmed the suspicion that Democrats are indeed ‘crisis opportunists.’
Dressed in a lavender outfit similar to the one she wore to go with her enormous healthcare gavel, Nancy ventured to Texas to tour the Border Patrol facility with Congressman Filemon Vela (D-TX 34th District).
Currently, Brownsville, Texas is home to an overcrowded refugee camp for the future Democratic voters Nancy refers to as “newcomers,” who, just as the amnesty debate heated up, coincidentally chose to flee the violence in Central America that has been ragingfor years.
Speaking at the Brownsville Events Center press conference, Pelosi pointed out that “while some may have tried to politicize” the humanitarian crisis, she has not, and that “this is not about an issue, it’s about a value and it’s a value that… all Americans share.”
Nancy Pelosi chiding political opponents for politicizing an issue is like Madonna scolding Lady Gaga for being a shameless exhibitionist. Especially when, during the press conference, the minority speaker asked, “Can we just have a woman ask a question? Because we do have to go, but not before we hear from a woman.”
Or, better yet, when Nancy pointed out that “In Central America and especially El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras…There is tremendous violence and it is threatening… young girls in particular.” Why hasn’t Mrs. Pelosi ever considered addressing the violence that “young girls in particular,” or any Christians for that matter, experience in the Middle East?
Still, one has to hand it to Nancy, because when it comes to amnesty, at least she’s straight on the “You never let a serious crisis go to waste” meme.
Where Nancy gets tangled up is when it comes to the Democrats’ favorite prop: the children. The California congresswoman veers way off course when she switches from fighting for funding to abort some children and then starts talking about “decency” toward all children.
Referring to her whirlwind tour of the border facility, Nancy had this to say:
What we just saw was so stunning that if you believe as we do that every child, every person has a spark of divinity in them and is therefore worthy of respect what we saw in those rooms was dazzling, sparkling array of God’s children worthy of respect.
Pro-abortion liberals like Nancy lobby for abortion using the argument that unwanted, sick children are unworthy of life. Now Mrs. Pelosi has a broken heart over sick unwanted children in a refugee housing facility and is reminding America that “every child, every person has a spark of divinity in them and is therefore worthy of respect?”
Question for Nancy Pelosi: Do those “values” only apply when a child is conceived anywhere other than the U.S. and not susceptible to an American woman’s right to choose? Because, based on the left’s longstanding position on abortion, “sparks of divinity” and “lives worthy of respect” apparently do not apply to “every child.”
Nancy Pelosi once called late-term abortion “sacred ground,” and in the past rejected the Catholic Church’s teachings on abortion, calling Priest for Life Fr. Frank Pavone “hysterical.”
Yet when it comes to amnesty, Nancy cleaves to the pro-amnesty statement of the Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)and lauds Sister Norma Pimentel, a member of the Missionaries of Jesus who, as executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, advocates for children both in and out of the womb.
On one hand, Nancy Pelosi heartily embraces the immoral, undignified value that hauls 3,000 unborn aborted American babies daily to the nearest incinerator. Then, on the other hand, for illegal Central American women and children, Mrs. Pelosi stresses “We [as Americans] have a moral responsibility to address this [crisis] in a dignified way.”
To support her amnesty argument, Nancy Pelosi said that regardless of whether a person lives in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, they are still American. If that’s the case, then shouldn’t that logic also extend to all human beings, whether they’re living inside or outside of the womb? But it doesn’t.
Notwithstanding all the hypocritical claptrap, the one statement that was the most baffling was when the mother of five and grandmother to nine said she wanted to take “all those children home with [her.]” Correct me if I’m wrong, but taking the children home isn’t an offer Pelosi has ever made on behalf of those who should have been adopted instead of aborted.
Then Nancy said that “perhaps the most tragic image [she would] take home” was the one of “the little boy who was infected with the virus” who, “for his safety and for the safety of others,” was “in isolation all by himself.”
Talk about “tragic image.” Besides confirming that Third World disease is now a threat to us all, this is the same woman who worries that “women can die on the floor” for lack of GOP funding for abortion services in ObamaCare.
As for‘dying on the floor,’ what is clear is that Nancy, who is opposed to denying free birth control and abortion, is not at all opposed to exposing the American public to MDR-TB and the swine flu. Nor is Nancy, who is normally apoplectic about the so-called Republican “war on women,” apprehensive about the looming Democratic war on everyone that will surely result from exposing healthy Americans to the same virus the little boy in isolation currently suffers with.
Liberal ‘crisis opportunist’ that she is, Pelosi did express a heartfelt desire to take the boy with the viral infection home to her secure San Francisco compound. Suffice it to say that based on the immigration policies she and the left continue to support, and definitely based on the boy’s highly contagious condition, that ‘crisis opportunity’ idea is something Nancy Pelosi should definitely follow through on.
As Democrats continue to incite a man-made “humanitarian crisis” involving children, an 11-year-old Guatemalan boy’s decomposed body was found about a mile from Texas’s southern border. The boy’s bones were draped in “Angry Birds” jeans, wearing black leather boots and a white rosary around his neck. Scribbled inside his belt buckle was the Chicago phone number of his brother, who likely also snuck across the border but, unlike his younger sibling, didn’t die in the process.
Meanwhile, over in Israel, our supposed ally, the bodies of three kidnapped teenagers – Eyal Yifrah, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Fraenkel, a 16-year-old with dual Israeli-American citizenship – were found on the West Bank after being kidnapped and murdered by Hamas operatives from Hebron.
Before striking back and striking hard, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had this to say: “[The teens] were kidnapped and murdered in cold blood by animals.”
Back in Washington, D.C., America’s “first gay president”, whose reaction to what happened in Benghazi was quite tepid compared to Netanyahu’s response to the murder/kidnapping, and who uttered nary a word about Fraenkel, an American citizen, being murdered in Israel, was busy attending to matters of more pressing urgency.
Right about the time the news came out that the decomposed body of Gilberto Francisco Ramos Juarez was found in the Rio Grande Valley on June 15 and that the ambulance carrying the bodies of the murdered teens in Israel was being pelted with rocks by Arabs, Obama was entertaining his LGBT White House guests with stories about a gay professor.
To commemorate “Champions of Change“, which is part of LGBT Pride Month at the White House, President Barack Obama spent Monday thanking political science professor Dr. Lawrence Goldyn of Occidental College for positively influencing his thoughts on gay rights.
Obama said that he and Goldyn became really good friends (although he didn’t say what kind of friends), and praised the professor for not being shy about his sexual orientation.
What any of this sexual orientation blather has to do with political science is anyone’s guess.
Nonetheless, the president did not allow dead Israeli or Guatemalan boys to deter his sharing that Goldyn was the “first openly gay person that [he] knew who was unapologetic, who stood his ground.” Obama said “[Professor Goldyn] helped shape how I think about so many of these issues, and those sort of quiet heroes that sometimes don’t get acknowledged.”
The president pointed out that “If somebody gave [Lawrence Goldyn] guff, he’d give them guff right back, and was, I think, part of a generation that really fought so many battles that ultimately came into fruition later.”
And yet, Hamas terrorists gave Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Shaar, and Naftali Fraenkel guff, and now that the Israeli Prime Minister is giving Hamas guff back, Obama is advising Israel, who had nothing to do with destabilizing the situation, not to “destabilize the situation” with payback for the kidnapping and murders.
As Obama lauded his gay professor and made a fuss over veterans Jim Darby, 80-years-old, and Patrick Boya, 73-years-old, getting married after being in a committed relationship for 51 years, Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra informed America that finding a decomposed body on the border is not unusual and that “we come across them quite often.”
While the president was introducing gay public servant Secretary of Labor Tom Perez, gay mayors, gay state legislators, and LGBT members of his administration, as well as patting himself on the back for appointing LGBT judges Todd Hughes, Judy Levy, and Nitza Quinones Alejandro to the federal bench, border agents/babysitters were being assaulted with MDR-TB and swine flu germs.
As MS-13 gang members and Chinese youth infiltrated the U.S., Obama was acknowledging the bravery of Jason Collins, celebrating the Harvey Milk stamp, pointing to Orange Is the New Black actress Laverne Cox on the cover of TIME, and praising Coca-Cola and Honeymaid for soda and graham cracker commercials featuring children with same-sex parents.
The president even took the time to mention that his wife and daughters cried when Mitch and Cam tied the knot on Modern Family.
In Israel, mourners gathered to bury three teens, while in McAllen, Texas, hundreds of unaccompanied children were being ferried by the hour into the stench-filled “sick ward” for illegals with scabies.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama, oblivious to worldwide chaos, was busy sharing stories about a gay pastry chef. The president told his LGBT guests, “Finally, I have to mention a man who’s made life at the White House very sweet. This is one of Michelle and my favorite people — our executive pastry chef Bill Yosses — – who’s here tonight with his husband, Charlie. Where’s Bill?”
So this is the state of America: as a “Brown Shirt” security team at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, threatens to arrest anyone who warns America about the impending illegal immigrant health risks and as Hamas threatens to open the “Gates of Hell” if Netanyahu bombs the Gaza strip, Obama is busy explaining to rapt LGBT guests that Bill Yosses is called the “Crustmaster,” and that the Crustmaster’s pies are irresistible.
Why? Because when it comes to Bill’s pies, Barry says, “I don’t know what he does, whether he puts crack in them…” or what?
Here’s what: volatile world events and LGBT Pride month aside, judging from the president’s strange disassociation from things that truly matter and his bizarre set of priorities, he may think he’s addicted to Yosses’ crack pie, but he acts more like he took James Carville’s advice and hit Rob Ford’s crack pipe.
