Ms. Zeta-Jones is doubly distressed because, according to the actress, Douglas was subjected to “Intolerable Cruelty” by doctors who failed to detect his serious condition sooner. Catherine claims Douglas “spent months seeking attention for persistent throat and ear pain only to be told nothing was wrong.” In a recent interview Michael Douglas’ perturbed wife shared: “It makes me furious they didn’t detect it earlier…He sought every option and nothing was found.”

Thankfully, Michael Douglas is a famous man of means. As soon as the walnut-sized tumor at the base of his tongue was discovered, Douglas instantly began receiving radiation and chemotherapy. Despite the fact that when it was diagnosed Douglas’ cancer was a harrowing Stage 4, doctors feel the actor has an 80% chance of survival.

In touch with earthly transience, Douglas claimed in a recent interview to be “uncertain about the future,” noting “you just never think it’s going to be you.” America hopes and prays that with prompt care Michael Douglas regains his health. However, there is a strange sort of irony to this otherwise tragic situation.

Awareness of human mortality is interesting coming from a noted Democrat like Michael Douglas. Especially since the “Basic Instinct” actor faithfully contributed to candidates responsible for passing a horrendous health care reform bill poised to negatively impact the mortality of defenseless Americans.

After suffering the ravages of a dread disease like throat cancer, maybe Michael Douglas will comprehend the error of financing candidates who eagerly signed onto a bill that, in due time, will subject gravely ill people to the same frustrating situation Douglas has endured for months.

The Hollywood actor’s contributions to Barack Obama’s campaign and every other Democrat candidate – including the late health care reform champion, “lion of the Senate” Edward Kennedy – ensured that, unlike Michael Douglas himself, many sick Americans will never have the same opportunity to promptly see a doctor. Faced with an uncertain future, it’s possible the ill and infirm will be forced to wait months for diagnostic care. Then, if need be, when a government bureaucrat decides to approve treatment, in many cases it may be too late.

Zeta-Jones said that “After months of feeling the pain creep up on him, of having a dry throat and hoarse voice, the news of his cancer … wasn’t a huge shock. I knew something was up. He knew something was up.”

Before the Douglas family casts a vote in 2010, and especially in 2012, after experiencing what they’ve experienced maybe the couple will reflect on how it would feel to be subjected to watching Michael endure unbearable pain, aware that “something is up,” while waiting months for access to a physician. And then being forced to wait six more months for a too-late-in-coming second opinion.

Zeta-Jones said “she can’t stand the thought of watching her husband undergoing chemotherapy and radiation and losing his strength as he battles the disease.” At least Catherine’s husband has the opportunity to fight and conquer throat cancer. However, thanks to Michael Douglas’ choice for President in 2008, the future looks dim for other terminally ill Americans who in the future stand a good chance of being denied the type of life-saving treatment Michael Douglas, thank God, has had the benefit to receive.

Regardless of politics and at a difficult juncture in his life I pray Michael Douglas beats throat cancer and is fully restored to full and vigorous health.

Just like the United States of America, Obama’s Oval Office recently received a “fundamental transformation.” After 10 days of relaxation, the President returned to an office wholly expunged of any hint of Obama’s presidential predecessor.

Chief apologist Robert Gibbs, speaking about the recession renovation, assured the press corps that “None of the modest changes that were done inside the Oval Office were done at any taxpayer expense, much like they’ve been done by previous presidents.” Methinks Mr. Gibbs doth protest too much.

Whatever the source, spending unwarranted amounts of money in full view of a nation struggling with foreclosures, unemployment, and a worsening financial system is overtly tactless.

Two years ago, when the lagging economy was in far better shape, Obama, speaking about the Oval Office furnishings, said he liked the “décor and saw no need for immediate redecorating.” White House advisor Valerie Jarrett revealed that Obama “loves” the sunburst carpet Laura Bush designed for the office.

America’s penny-wise President chose instead to add small inspirational additions to the Chief Executive’s workspace like a bronze bust of Martin Luther King Jr. and a copy of the Emancipation Proclamation on loan from the Smithsonian.

Apparently, it took the threat of a double dip recession to inspire the President to invest in superfluous office décor using money people could use to pay bills. The goal: obliterate every trace of George W. Bush from the Oval Office before giving a nationally-televised speech on the success of a surge Obama predicted would fail and the culmination of a war G.W. won.

The President’s “for the first time in my adult lifetime I’m really proud of my country” office revamp “took pains to ensure that new additions were American made.” In honor of two undeniably blue states the President included “New York wallpaper and a Michigan made rug.”

The Laura Bush-designed sunburst carpet was rolled up to make way for a “wheat, cream and blue colored oval-shaped rug [with] the presidential seal in the center…encircled by five quotes [from Presidents] Kennedy, Lincoln and both Roosevelts– with the fifth quote from Martin Luther King.”

Obama’s favorite collective redemption quote being: “The Welfare of Each of Us is Dependent Fundamentally Upon the Welfare of All of Us” by President Teddy Roosevelt.

From the looks of the recession renovation, Barack is apparently planning to camp out for a while. Unfortunately for the President, removing the sunburst carpet from the Oval Office does nothing to remedy an ever-growing list of Obama-instigated domestic time bombs.

Comfortably entrenched within the womblike comfort of new digs, perhaps Obama will lean back in that new leather chair and contemplate additional political predicaments, such as the Oval Office walls being papered with “beige and gold” wallpaper, while 21 U.S. soldiers lay dying in Afghanistan, casualties of a war Obama presides over from a brand new armchair.

The Obama vacation was a smashing success. Rested and ready Obama made an impromptu appearance in the Rose Garden sans the now famous bicycle helmet. America’s back pedaling president looked so refreshed it appeared as if New England lobster managed to erase even the telltale grays from the President’s closely cropped hair.

The reason for the press briefing was Barack’s desire to extend presidential comfort by reassuring the nation, via the press, that the team that ushered in a code blue economy remains “on top of the economic crisis.”

While vacationing, Obama proved to America that riding a miniature two-wheeler is not a life skill a 6’2″ man ever forgets. The President also proved a 10-day break in Martha’s Vineyard does not affect an ingrained propensity to blame George W. Bush.

Stepping toward the podium, Obama dove right in. However, due to technical difficulty, it took Obama three tries to blame Bush for the appalling economy. Stumbling over well-planned condemning comments, even the microphone refused to broadcast Barack’s never-ending drivel.

The solemn, accusatory president began by saying that when elected he was completely unaware of the depth of America’s “economic hole,” let alone how long it would take to “climb out.” However, when in a fix, Obama appears extremely knowledgeable as to how effectively project perpetual culpability onto everyone other than himself.

Obama expressed the following opinion about the flagging economy: “What we did know was that it took nearly a decade – to dig the hole we are in.” Then the President gave himself eight years of economic leeway following the “dig the hole” comment with an “even longer to dig our way out.”

After the sound system issues, garbled statements and flyover airplane interference ceased, the President continued blaming G.W. and then segued directly into pointing the finger at Senate Republicans. Never once did Obama acknowledge any personal culpability for being completely and hopelessly clueless.

Maybe someone should have raised their hand and reminded Obama that during the first six years of Bush’s tenure the economy was booming. It was the last two years, after a national referendum on Iraq, that Democrats took over both houses and the economy began to falter. Adding Obama’s liberal-socialistic policies to the already ailing economy turned a benign common cold into a case of full-blown pneumonia.

Obama claimed Republicans are now in the process of obstructing an “initiative [he] proposed to cut taxes that will encourage small businesses to hire and expand, as well as a $30 billion small business lending initiative.”

Partisan President Obama actually had the temerity to accuse Senate Republicans of damaging economic growth by “holding this bill hostage.” The man who impedes everything from individual freedom to economic recovery dramatically uttered the scripted slogan: “Drop the blockade.”

Soberly droning on, uttering meaningless poppycock, Obama continued reading off the teleprompter. The president’s rhetoric included references to small businesses, middle class tax cuts, job creation and economic growth. As usual, in a five-minute statement Obama managed to fit in incendiary lingo like “partisan minorities” and “political games.”

Towards the end, the sun must have been in Obama’s eyes because the President stumbled over words like “effort,” correcting it to “attack.” Before turning and walking away, the smooth talker slipped up and blurted out the very apropos “silver spoon” instead of “silver bullet.”

A few hours after the technically-challenged economic encouragement/blame-Bush undertaking, the Dow plummeted 140 points, proving the point that, like everything Barack does, the ready-to-wreak-havoc Rose Garden declaration was just another in a long list of “smashing” Obama successes.

The Dutch police arrested Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi, presently hailing from Detroit, Michigan, and Soofi’s cohort Hezem al Murisi. U.S. law enforcement reported Dutch authorities charged the duo with “preparation of a terrorist attack.” The reason? A Pepto-Bismol bottle/cell phone apparatus was found in their luggage, which tipped off the Dutch to a mock bomb indicating a potential terrorist “dry run…test.”

A minor point that should be a comforting bit of information for all air travelers is that the two made it all the way to Amsterdam “despite security concerns surrounding one of them.”

Alert security screeners in Alabama stopped al Soofi. The Yemen born world traveler was referred to additional screening because of “bulky clothing… $7,000 in cash and a check of his luggage [which] found a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cell phones taped together, several watches taped together, a box cutter and three large knives.” Good catch!

However, Pepto/cell phones, taped watches and deadly weapons does not necessarily indicate al Soofi had nefarious intentions. So, after offering Ahmed a heartfelt apology al Soofi’s luggage was “cleared for the flight from Birmingham to Chicago O’Hare.”

Once in Chicago, officials say they learned al Soofi checked his luggage on a flight to Washington’s Dulles airport for connections on flights to Dubai and then Yemen. On small problem: Ahmed was not on board the flight.

Instead, officials say, al Soofi joined a second man, Al Murisi. The duo boarded a United Airlines flight from Chicago and were en route to the land of windmills, wooden shoes and tulips.

When Customs and Border officials learned al Soofi was not on the flight from Dulles to Dubai, the plane was ordered to return to the gate so his luggage could be removed. Officials said additional screening found no evidence of actual explosives.

According to the U.S. law enforcement officials Dutch authorities detained the two men when the United Airlines flight landed in Amsterdam.

Ever cautious about accusing terrorists of terrorism, ABC News reporter Brian Ross expressed the opinion that, although suspicious, “there may be a perfectly innocent explanation,” for the incident.

Which is true, Mr. al Soofi and his traveling companion, al Murisi, may have just been bringing supplies to a friend suffering with chronic indigestion. Like two good Samaritans, al Soofi/Murisi could have been attempting to attend to someone who, after calming his or her stomach, also enjoyed chatting on cell phones and whittling with a box cutter, while keeping a watchful eye on the time.

As for the boarding the wrong flight aspect of the situation the two merely could have gotten confused at the airport trying to read confusing directional signs that, to date, a discriminatory, Islamophobic America has yet to convert to Arabic.

MSNBC political pundit Chris Matthews was so smitten with the President’s speechifying that stirring electrical currents physically manifested in his body. The separation-of-church-and-state commentator admitted he “cried over an Obama speech” and “compared him to Jesus.”

Completely infatuated, Matthews openly gushed when Barack spoke: “I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often.”

Apparently, Chris’s tingle didn’t cease with his legs; based on the MSNBC anchor’s pre-Glenn Beck rally comments, the current traveled straight to his race-baiting brain.

The night prior to the Glenn Beck-hosted gathering, Chris Matthews felt it was his patriotic duty to spew malice and spin the “Restoring Honor” Lincoln Memorial event into what he defined as a “nightmare.”

Americans gathering to peacefully pray, exercise freedom of speech and laud the greatness of our nation are being depicted by Chris Matthews as “Little right-wing boys and little right-wing girls joining hands and singing praise for Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.” Matthews’ tingly hero worship explains the MSNBC commentator projecting juvenile idolatry on hundreds of thousands of peacefully assembled Americans who were doing anything but worshiping Beck and Palin.

Reporting on the event, an acerbic media stunned by the large, God-centered turnout repeatedly played the race card and underscored the fact that few minorities were spotted in the crowd. In the run-up to the rally, hypocritical news organizations even lowered themselves to negatively grilling “Restoring Honor” speakers like Martin Luther King’s niece Alveda King, the unspoken implication being that Black Americans are traitors if choosing to speak anywhere besides the Al Sharpton “We-Alone-Own-MLK rally.”

The left cultivates division and then complains about a racial divide. Liberals stir up strife and then claim that minorities avoid gatherings like the “Restoring Honor” event, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of people who, regardless of race, treasure the values Martin Luther King espoused.

Chris Matthews’ lies and innuendos demonstrate that the anchor believes the left has cornered the market on understanding the gravity of the injustices Black Americans suffered during a shameful period in our nation’s history. Pundits like Matthews forget that just two short years ago, a largely Caucasian nation ecstatically elected America’s first African-American president.

Of late, the majority is coming to the stark realization Obama’s policies are bad for America, not his race. As a result, a colorblind electorate that catapulted Barack into the Oval Office is now being accused of racism because of efforts to restore lost honor and foster national harmony.

Presently, the left is frantically rooting around in a political dumpster for their last grasp of discordant power. Race baiters are emerging from the farthest recesses of a refuse heap with a crumpled, stained race card firmly in hand. Racial strife is the last great hope of the likes of political pundits whose true “nightmare” is the exercise of Constitutional freedoms giving rise to the dream of which Martin Luther King spoke and the realization that that “dream” is hindered only by those like Chris Matthews, who fear its unifying power.

Responding to the controversy where nearly one in five people in America believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim, White House officials felt it was incumbent upon Obama apologists to speak out in defense of the religiously misunderstood President’s Christianity by underscoring the fact that Obama “prays daily.”

Without revisiting Obama’s propensity to embrace Islam tradition and commiserate with Muslim causes, one thing’s for sure: based on Barack’s behavior towards Christian principles, beliefs and practices, regardless of whether he is a Muslim or not, the President’s adherence to authentic Christianity is certainly in question.

A new poll showed that nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, believe Obama is Muslim. That was up from 11 percent who said so in March 2009. The survey also showed that just 34 percent said Obama is Christian, down from 48 percent who said so last year. The largest share of people, 43 percent, said they don’t know his religion.

After sharing the Obamas’ Martha’s Vineyard vacation itinerary, White House spokesman Bill Burton segued into weightier issues, saying “most Americans care more about the economy and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and they are not reading a lot of news about what religion the president is.”

For believing Christians and Jews alike, Ecclesiastes reminds us “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Faith, be it true or counterfeit, impacts every aspect of life, including war and the economy.

Jesus Himself instructed His followers how to recognize one and the other: “By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?” Could Jesus have meant “thorn bushes and thistles” such as Obama’s support for the homosexual agenda and adherence to the anti-life platform?

Obama claims he is the “Christian son of a Kenyan Muslim father and a Kansas mother.” As a small boy, “Obama lived in predominantly Muslim Indonesia with his mother and Indonesian stepfather. His full name, Barack Hussein Obama, sounds Muslim to many.” Many Americans remain unaware that Barack Hussein Obama’s “Christian” mother named her son Barry Soetoro. However, to date, Barack has yet to reclaim that Christian birth name after supposedly converting to Christianity.

A defensive Burton speaking in the President’s defense said, “The president is obviously a Christian. He prays every day.” Well, that settles it.

While a prayerful attitude is foundational to the Christian life, praying everyday does not a Christian make. Most people know most world religions, including Islam, make prayer an integral aspect of religious practice and ideology.

In a Pew poll, “Six in 10 of those saying Obama is a Muslim said they got the information from the media, with the largest portion 16 percent saying it was on television. Eleven percent said they learned it from Obama’s behavior and words.”

In the past, the President has boasted, “My Faith and Neighborhood Initiatives director, Joshua DuBois, he has a devotional that he sends to me on my BlackBerry® every day,” Obama said. “That’s how I start my morning. You know, he’s got a passage, Scripture, in some cases quotes from other faiths to reflect on.” Thankfully, the public isn’t fooled into believing Obama’s religious affiliation is somehow associated with the claim that his Blackberry® is updated daily with Scripture verses. Even the most laid-back spectator recognizes that Obama exhibits disdain for all things Christian when not checking Scripture-updates on a hand-held device.

Take for instance Obama’s politically correct effort to “reach out to other faiths.” Breaking with Christian tradition, Obama prefers to celebrate “non-religious Christmas [es].” Last year, America’s Christian President requested the Nativity scene, memorializing the birth of Jesus, be removed from the East Room of the White House. Does Barack expect a nation that largely identifies itself as Christian to believe reaching out to other faiths requires denying your own?

Jewish convert to Christianity, Paul of Tarsus, said in Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Yet Obama requested all references to Christ’s crucifixion be covered up for his visit to Catholic University of Georgetown where it was more than appropriate for them to remain within view.

Worldwide, Christians traditionally attend church in direct response to Paul’s letter to the Hebrews Chapter 10:23-25 which says, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

The last time Obama set foot in a “Christian” church was to sit under the radical tutelage and in the pews of Jeremiah Wright, a racist anti-Semite disguised as a preacher. For 20 years Obama tithed and supported a pastor and congregation that spewed hate speech and racism, both being transgressions removed “as far as the East is from the West” from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Since then, President and professed Christian Barack Hussein Obama has yet to assemble with other believers to worship the Lord. Why? Out of self-professed fear of disrupting a congregation.

Concern for inconveniencing others is a poor excuse coming from a man who has had zero remorse for disrupting 300 million people, economically, emotionally, politically and, on more than one occasion, literally. Obama’s self- aggrandizing, disingenuous comment reflects a lack of familiarity with real Christianity, whose adherents encourage all eyes be fixed on Christ, regardless of who is in the room.

So Obama, while busily funding abortion, hosting Ramadan dinners and bowing to Islamic despots, can attempt to keep up the fake Christian façade. The President obviously doesn’t consider Americans astute enough to recognize true Christianity when they see it. Obama may claim to be a prayerful man, but what god does the President pray to exactly? More and more Americans are asking that question as Barack covers up Christian symbols, skips ceremonial gatherings marked by Christian prayer, sides with Islam against the will of the people, and undermines the Judeo-Christian foundations of freedom and liberty that all Americans, regardless of religion, hold near and dear.

The hate crime accusers are on the march. What could be better than a WASP psychopath with one too many Budweisers under his cowboy belt slashing a Muslim cab driver just as the 9-11 mosque controversy came to a rolling boil in New York City?

Muslim cab driver Ahmed Sharif picked up a very thirsty American student and, as a result, one unsuspecting Muslim nearly became a statistic.

Apparently, after imbibing numerous alcoholic beverages, Michael Enright felt obligated to embark upon a personal Checkered Cab Crusade, slashing a taxicab driver in the neck and upper lip in what is being reported as an “explosion of anti-Muslim violence in the close confines of [a] New York City taxi.”

Is it fair to define one drunk and one Muslim as an “explosion of anti-Muslim violence?” To date, an assemblage of tee-totaling Muslims killing 3,000+ Americans in an “explosion of anti-American violence” is yet to officially be labeled a religiously motivated “hate crime.”

Victim-cabdriver Ahmed shared the horror story: “I’m driving. He asked me where I’m from. I said Bangladesh. Second question he ask me, are you Muslim? I said yes. Then he tells me ‘assalamu alaikum,’” Sharif said.

A pattern is emerging: Arabic terms like “Assalamu alaikum” and “Allahu akbar” seem to be the war cry of hate mongers as faraway from New York City as Ft. Hood, Texas.

Sharif said Enright began “ridiculing the Muslim holiday of Ramadan and then started a bizarre, belligerent rant.” Enright allegedly said, “This is checkpoint [expletive]. I have to put you down.”

Then the honor student/Afghanistan reporter from Putnam County “lunged through the cab partition with a knife.” As Ahmed struggled, the cab rolled for two blocks. “The knife came here and when he knife like this by his right hand then I back up like this, then it come here,” Sharif said, showing defensive arm wounds.

Police claimed an under-the-influence Enright lacerated Sharif with a Leatherman military knife. Eventually, the drunk was arrested and charged with “attempted murder as a hate crime.”

In a climate described as “anti-Muslim,” and based on objections to a mosque being erected near Ground Zero, why is a singular act of asinine behavior on the part of a frat-boy with a history of alcohol abuse being called an “explosion” of anti-Muslim sentiment?

Why couldn’t Enright’s hateful actions be attributed to post-Afghanistan traumatic stress disorder, which many suggested instigated Major Nidal Hasan’s massacre of 13 American soldiers?

As the taxi fracas ensued, instead of exiting the cab, a bloodied Sharif decided to lock the inebriated Enright inside the vehicle. The injured cabbie chose to shuttle a person dead set on murdering Muslims around town until finding a police officer? What happened, did Enright black out in the back of the cab?

Javaid Tariq of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance is convinced the incident is a hate crime. “It is not any robbery or fare dispute or anything else. Talking to him, asking him if he’s a Muslim? Telling him, it’s a checkpoint and stabbing him. Of course it’s a hate crime,” and a conveniently timed hate crime at that.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Sharif accepted an invitation from pro-Cordoba Project Mayor Bloomberg to visit City Hall. After Enright’s intolerant act, Sharif could potentially become the official poster child for hate crimes against Muslims in America.

Ahmed Sharif may have been sliced up by a drunken lout just in time to convince Americans that the only way for the nation’s anti-Muslims sentiment to be breached is by building a 15-storey mosque next to Ground Zero.

Since Obama came to Washington DC, America has witnessed nature manifest itself on more than one occasion. Rodents scurry, flies swarm and a “ferocious blizzard‘” sends snow-laden branches crashing onto a cavalcade of presidential SUVs.

From a biblical point of view, one would be hard pressed to deny that pestilence, “lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds” are doing someone’s bidding, but that Someone does not appear to be President Obama.

Fittingly, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my wrath, I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger, hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury. (Ezekiel 13:3)

Lest Obama forget or care to acknowledge it, it is God that rules and reigns over everything. Lately, that reality is being repeatedly proven as wrathful communiqués are sent Obama’s way like lightning bolts destined for a telephone pole.

Let’s face it, Obama answers to no one. Yet America’s artificial messiah has yet to exhibit dynamic verbal dominion over conditions daring to interfere with his agenda. Whether huddled below a wind-blown umbrella or slapping a fly from his lip, of late, a defenseless Barack seems devoid of his pedestal.

On Memorial Day Obama flouted tradition and chose Chicago over custom. America’s high and mighty president flew home to the Windy City for the weekend. The plan: In lieu of Arlington National Cemetery, attend a perfunctory ceremony in Elwood, Illinois. The message: Obama acquiesces to no one.

As a result, an unambiguous message was sent to Barack. “He [who makes] darkness his covering…the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning” and subsequently, Obama’s premeditated arrangements were rained out.

Thunderstorms had rolled in over Lincoln National Cemetery, prompting the Secret Service to pull the president from the ceremony amid fear for his safety. Obama, who was huddled under a white tent … Obama told the guests, some of whom had already started to flee, that he would wait … to see if the storm would pass. But it quickly worsened, turning into gusty winds and rain with frequent lightning and thunder, and the White House cancelled Obama’s appearance at the ceremony.

Could it be that He who rules creation is using the rain to inform self-perceived “omnipotent” Obama about who it is that truly reigns?

While 10% of America’s unemployed workforce languishes on an involuntary Obama-induced holiday, Barry is sharply criticized for taking one too many vacations. Discounting national disapproval, Barack decided once again to cast aside empathetic wisdom by slapping down an average year’s salary for a well-deserved nouveau-riche recess on Martha’s Vineyard.

The vacation started with the lagoon bordering the first family’s Blue Heron Farm being closed, “due to high levels of enterococci, an indicator that the water [was] contaminated with fecal coliform bacteria.” Following closely behind the bacteria-beach bulletin was a “fierce Nor’easter that knocked out power and blew down tree limbs on Martha’s Vineyard.” The “storm moved in … raking the island off Cape Cod with heavy rain and wind gusts.”

Obama’s plan was biking, hiking and fun in the “bluest corner of a bluest state.” One day after the family’s arrival, the Power that appears to be tracking the President wherever he goes unleashed a deluge that trapped America’s self-appointed sovereign indoors, playing $50,000 worth of Poker and Scrabble.

Down through history there are untold examples of hostility and acts of war resulting in the loss of millions of lives. Regardless of ethnicity, religion, or point of dispute, the universal agreement amongst civilized people is that genocidal aggressions like the Nazi Holocaust or Pol Pot’s Killing Fields constitute crimes against humanity.

However, history tells us that if Islam is at the source of the antagonism, reciprocal sensitivity and consideration toward victims of Muslim aggression are oftentimes absent. In fact, the annals of time reveal a disturbing trend: “In the cases where the Muslims conquered principal cities, they constructed the mosque in the place that was the centre of the religion of the conquered people.”

Presently, controversy swirls around the Cordoba Project, a proposal to build a fifteen-storey mosque/community center two blocks from the site of an attack where an attempted deathblow to America was delivered by Islamic jihadists.

The Cordoba Project is partially being promoted as a monument to the three thousand who perished in the World Trade towers that fateful September morn. Daisy Khan, executive director of the American Society for Muslim Advancement, maintains that Muslims associated with the Cordoba Initiative intended only “to look at the legacy of 9/11 and do something positive.” Khan claims the American Society for Muslim Advancement represents moderate Muslims who want “to reverse the trend of extremism and the kind of ideology that the extremists are spreading.”

In addition to portraying it as a memorial bridge between faiths, defenders of the mosque maintain that building a house of worship on private property is an exercise of the constitutional right that grants freedom of religion to all Americans.

The site where three thousand perished is revered and consecrated by the blood of the dead. Regardless of “moderate Muslim” intentions, Americans view the site of the 9-11 massacre as sacredly significant. In essence, lower Manhattan is a burial ground where the unearthed remains of many still reside.

Muslims who insist on placing a mosque so close to holy ground, which would not exist but for the murderous aggression committed by Muslim warriors, is eerily reminiscent of acts of dominance carried out from age to age by Islamic conquerors.

In 630 AD, Muslims captured Islam’s holiest city, Mecca. It was there that a mosque was erected at the Ka’aba on the site of a building built by Abraham, the Judeo-Christian Old Testament father of faith. Muslims honor Patriarch Abraham for siring desert-dweller Ishmael, son of slave woman Hagar. Muslims claimed Abraham for Islam by building a mosque around the original Abrahamic structure, encircling the building and calling it the Masjid al-Haram.

In the 7th century, when Islam triumphed over Damascus, the Church of Saint John the Baptist (believed to enshrine the head of the baptizer) was destroyed and replaced with a mosque. Legend has it that “Under the Umayyad caliph Al-Walid the church was demolished … [and] Al-Walid himself initiated the demolition by driving a golden spike into the church.”

Most notably, the struggle for religious dominance continues between the Muslims and the Jewish seed of Isaac on what was once the Jewish Temple Mount, site of Solomon’s Temple. The Muslim descendants of Ishmael, after conquering Jerusalem in 638 AD, turned the temple into a Muslim shrine. The infamous holy place called the Dome of the Rock is situated in close proximity to the highly revered Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Around 700 AD, in Cordoba, Spain, after Muslims conquered the Visigothic kingdom, Emir Abd ar-Rahman I took possession of the Church of St. Vincent, and for the next two centuries, what was once a Christian church was transformed into the Great Mosque of Cordoba.

Before the fall of Constantinople in 1453, the Byzantine church of Hagia Sophia was the “center of Eastern Christianity.” The Ottoman conquest initiated the “era of Islamic worship in the holy structure, which Mehmed II converted into a mosque immediately after his conquest.”

In modern history, a territorial struggle started by Muslims culminated in one of the worst acts of genocidal aggression in modern times. The massacre took place at the end of the Slavic civil war in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the mining town of Srebrenica, on the border of Serbia. Only this time, barbarian Serbs, Christian in name only, targeted a Muslim enclave and systematically slaughtered 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men.

To date, there is nothing on record that indicates that Serbian Christians have ever requested permission to erect an Orthodox church in Srebrenica to pay homage to the memory of the 8,000 Muslims who perished.

Proposing to erect a mosque whose outline will cast a dark shadow across the ground where Muslim jihadists slaughtered three thousand Americans, even if sincere in intent, is nonetheless an example of tactless insensitivity on the part of those supposedly attempting to bridge a religious divide.

However, if the Cordoba Project is revealed to be menacing in its objective, the Park 51 mosque is yet another example of radical Muslims seeking triumph over territory. Disguised as merchants of peace, men like Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Chairman of the Cordoba Initiative, may in truth be just others in a long line of warriors who, down through the ages, have committed themselves to advancing Islamic dominance for Allah by subjugating and occupying the world, one mosque at a time.

UPDATE: I have never claimed to be an expert on any subject let alone Balkans history. Since writing this article I have come to find out the Srebrenica incident remains a controversial issue worldwide and a minority believe in a view contrary to what was contained in my article. The research I did indicated that the USA, the UN, NATO and the world court all believe there was a massacre at Srebrenica. At no time did the research indicate an opposing view. The point about the Christians, in name only, slaughtering Muslim men was peripheral to the article whose main objective was the history of victory mosques. If, when writing the article, I had been aware of the controversy or the offensive nature of the statement, I would surely have left the comment out.

Brad Pitt is indignant about injustice. So much so that the Hollywood icon/prolific accommodator of Angelina Jolie’s obsessive-compulsive reproduction disorder has stepped forward to speak on behalf of exacting justice against those who’ve wronged Mother Earth.

The Hollywood actor said he would “consider the death penalty for those to blame for the ruptured well that gushed millions of gallons of oil into the ocean.” When asked about the “people responsible for the crisis, the ‘Inglourious Basterds’ star said: ‘I was never for the death penalty before – I am willing to look at it again.’”

Bastian of moral authority Brad Pitt, who left his wife to cavort with a notorious seductress, isn’t recommending the death penalty for mass murderers, rapists or child molesters, and certainly not adulterers, but rather for BP executives for accidental oilrig explosions in the Gulf of Mexico.

If anyone possesses the right to express moral indignation, Brad Pitt sure does. Brad Pitt decided to “Make It Right” in New Orleans after doing his wife of five years wrong by abandoning her for a sultry mistress. “Mr. Pitt, 46, spearheaded the ‘Make it Right’ project to build 150 affordable and sustainable homes in one of the areas of New Orleans that was worst hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.”

Mr. Pitt’s provocative “fry the inglourious basterds” remarks were revealed as his life partner and mother to three biological and three adopted children, Angelina Jolie, was making a “goodwill visit to Sarajevo, Bosnia.” What better way to remediate a sullied reputation than to portray yourself as a benevolent ambassador, environmental green advocate or a spokesperson indicting and sentencing corporate oil magnates to the gallows.

Angelina traveled to Bosnia to speak to “government officials about possible education programs to help resettle refugees still homeless, following the country’s civil war.” Pitt should have gone with Angie to propose a Bosnian “Make it Right” project. The trip could have been called “Infidelity Enterprises,” where shameless adulterers build homes for homeless Bosnians.

According to Ivy-cap-wearing Pitt, the answer to ensure accidents like the Deepwater Horizon oilrig explosion never scourge the earth again is to make an example of BP executives by administering lethal injections. Pitt is obviously of the mind that exacting the death penalty on a criminal of Tony Hayward’sstature ensures similar tragedies are prevented from reoccurring.

Nothing deters oilrigs from exploding more effectively than exercising the death penalty on a few key oil executives.

Film director Spike Lee recently completed a film entitled, “If God is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise.” In the documentary Brad “emerges a hero” for his humanitarian house building efforts. The film was supposed to end “on a positive note with the New Orleans American Football team winning the Super Bowl.” However, the ending was changed to incorporate the premeditated BP oilrig explosion.

Mr. Spike “Do the Right Thing” Lee decided oil-soaked pelicans and oil threading through the Gulf was too important to leave out of the exposé so the director changed the ending to include British Petroleum’s deadly crimes.

With any luck, a man with Brad Pitt’s Congressional clout could potentially convince the federal government to try and execute BP executives. Heck, the actor was able to convince America he was Jesse James. Then Spike can edit the film and splice into the ending that righteous defender-of-Mother-Earth, Brad Pitt, throwing the switch on the guilty so that “If God is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise,” can conclude on an upbeat note as originally planned.
